That made me actually smile. I ran a hand through my hair to keep it spiked up. "That sounded gay, bro," I laughed. I couldn't remember the last time I laughed. It seemed like forever ago. Eventually my smile faded as I wasn't quite sure what this guy thought about me. Was it supposed to sound gay? I tried to ignore the possibility that this guy didn't actually care anything about me. "So, is your head feeling better?" I asked him, wondering if it was possible that we could leave the infirmary.

Trenton flushed slightly. "Eheheheh... yeah, I suppose it did." He cast his eyes down for a moment. "A bit better. No pounding headache, at least!" A small laugh escaped his lips, but he didn't raise his gaze. "Would... Would that bother you? If I was gay?" He immediately regretted saying it. Stupid stupid stupid!

I gulped. This was probably one of the most awkward situations I had been in. I blinked, thinking on the best thing to say. In truth it didn't bother me if he was gay, but if I said that, and he WASN'T gay, then I would look like a gay idiot. God this was confusing me. This is why I tended not to have a social life. Because it was complicated. "It would bother me," I began, hoping that what I was about to say wouldn't freak him out. My palms were beginning to get sweaty. "It would bother me...if you were gay for someone besides me."

Trenton's face turned a deep red. His eyes darted all over the room, landing everywhere except David. Finally, he pulled himself off the bed, and into a crouch in front of David. Staring at the other boy owlishly, Trenton finally forced himself to process the exchange they had just had. After about a minute, it clicked, and Trenton kissed David firmly on the lips.

It took my a while to comprehend what was going on. When it finally clicked that I had said the right thing, I embraced it. I closed my eyes and kissed him back fully for three seconds leaving it to him if he decided to kiss me longer. This was a surprise, yes, but I most certainly did not dislike it.

Trenton kept kissing David until he literally had to pause for breath. He pulled back, breathing heavy, and grinned. "That... wow." Pulling David into a hug, he shook his head, amazed. "Wow." He leaned back and looked David in the eyes. "Wow."

I grinned as he kissed me back, it was as if he had sparked me with electricity. Then again, he might actually have done that being a son of Zeus. But that's how it felt. "You sure say wow a lot," I said, pressing my forehead on his, looking into his eyes.
