| Golden Day by Pink
One moon, one sun It was all he had to spare Through dusty glass and saddened eyes Reminiscing; what once was there
Outside the world was gold Full of warmth, full of mirth Flowers grew, glances stolen Moments that were never sold
Dusk arrived; time was laughing Children were called back Grief-struck faces over joy What day had built, now destroyed
Death's cold hands remained longing, Its clutches around the old man's life Around him, loved ones stood Shedding tears, ever cascading
Before he departed; a new star born He smiled at what he'd leave behind Time, despite its devilish ways, Would bring another golden day
And no one would mourn. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
