In need of a duel partner(Private to Damon)

Polemistis was still fuming about losing the one girl he loved. His rage was directed at a dummy in the arena. He began to shout around to no one in particular as he trashed the dummy. He was breathing heavily and sweat was dripping into his eyes. He walked to a bench and picked up a towel, than proceeded to wipe away the sweat.

"I'm guessing it gave you the wrong look?" Damon said trying to put a light spin in his voice. Even in a rage the guy on the bench had skill. To Damon that meant he REALLY knew how to use that sword. His forms had been pounded in so hard raw emotions couldn't make him for get them. "I'm Damon, son of Hecate." he said pushing himself of the pillar he was leaning against. "What's your name?"

Polemistis turned at the sound of the voice and growled.
Alot of things looked at me the wrong way, that dummy was the last one. The names Polemistis son of Ares, I've spent 5yrs at this camp, and I don't remember ever seeing you Damon. Oh well, let's cut to the chase, you want to spar, I promisenot to go to hard on you.

Damon eyed the dummy trying to guess his chances. "Okay," Damon said a little hesitantly. "To be honest I haven't fought much." Which was true, yes, he had been in his share of brawls. But brawls and fights were different, they work on their own tactics. One thing Damon thought himself good at was getting people to hit each other when he dodged, but a one on one. That is a whole new ball game. "Got a shield and staff I could borrow?" A shield meant more attack and blocking options. Damon knew that much.

In responce Pole grabbed two items from a pack laying on the floor. He threw them at Damon and they grew into a shield and staff.
I come prepared for anything kid, and don't worry I won't bang you up. I've done this a million times and I'venever injured anyone.
He grinned at Damon and took a ready stance.

Damon caught the shield in his right hand, and knocked the staff strait in the air. "Lego, go on the bench." Damon said all serious now, studying his opponent. As the foot 'n half long weasel jumped off his shoulder, he strapped the shield to his left arm and caught the spear as it fell. Not good. Damon thought, If I had a sword to... He let the thought die. No use entertaining an idea that would not help. One last choice. He thought then charged shield raised and spear level.

'Attack' :

Without the weight of a shield Pole was much faster with his reflexes. He took the blow and readied his own strike. He leaped into the air his sword ready to drive into his opponent.
This kids pretty good, maybe I can have some fun, he whispered to himself.

OOC: Cant figure out where to roll dice??

Knew it. Damon thought I knew there was more to this guy... Again the thought died as he saw the sword come up. He jumped back eyeing the boy and sword as they truly were, one entity. The sword was as much part of him as his leg was. Damon smiled, he knew i might seem weird but it was just one of those smiles that you couldn't stop. "Heh," he laughed, "Fighting may be more fun than I first thought!" Suddenly his mind was racing, not on this fight in particular, but all the fights to come. How can use magic? What magic would be best? Fire? Force? Damon was also impressed with this guy, Pole. "So, who is your parent?" Damon asked feeling fighting him was the best way to get him to open up.

Pole was in his own world of fighting, but Damon's voice pierced through temporarily.
Son of Ares kid, and your better than I thought. I was expecting an easy battle.
He laughed as he swung his blade again.
You'll learn to love fighting just like me kid. Just stick with me and I'll teach you everything I know.

"Should've known." Damon mutter more to himself, as the sword came down. He tried to get his shield up, and barely made it. The sword hit the edge of his shield, and open a slight cut on his shoulder. Why is it always my left shoulder? Damon groaned. As it was the hit alone numbed up his arm.

OOC: No I don't know the Dice rules. Please send a PM with any explanation you can offer, and how you want this match to go out...just the gist of it. This'll be the last post I this night. C'ya tomorrow.

Pole saw his blade rip through Damon's shield and hit his shoulder. Normally he would have pressed his assualt, but instead he lowered his sword. He grabbed a towel nearby and threw it at Damon.
Take a break kid, I prefer to fight my opponents when there at 100%.

OOC: I have no idea about the dice rules so I can't help xD.

Watching the sword lower Damon wondered if it was a trick the the meaning of the words hit him. "Oh, okay." Damon said some what sadly. He's right. Damon thought, I will learn to love fighting. Damon straitened and held both the shield and spear to give them back to Pole. "I think I could get use to this. Normally the fights I get dragged into are street brawls." Damon said lifting his left sleeve looking to see how bad the cut was.

Pole glanced at Damon as he examined his wound.
It's not a bad cut, just a minor flesh wound from what I can tell. As for street fights, that's how I started to love fighting were you any good? You can keep those weapons if you want, they aren't really my style.
He pushed the weapons back to Damon, and took a seat next to him.

"Kinda. I always left doing better that the other people so.... And thanks for the toys." Damon said as he put the weapons down. Out of his pocket Damon pulled a gauze pad and an Ace bandage. He lifted his shirt and wrapped the wound in a way that said he had done it before. Once the arm was wrapped he whistled and a ferret shot from the bench to him, climbed up him to his shoulder and sniffed the newly wrapped wound.

Pole grinned at Damon, maybe he had made a new friend.

He got up again and began to pace around the Arena.

BIC: "Cool I'll take you up on that offer sometime." Damon said grabbing the shield and spear. "As for Lego I had him since I was eleven... so about six years. Anyway I need to see about something. I'll c'ya around." Damon called as he walked out of the Arena.

Pole nodded his head in responce as Damon left the Arena.
You never know kid, I may come to you. I'm always looking for someone to fight.
He grabbed his sword and began to pound the dummies again.
