Polemistis continued to hold her in his arms. She was different, but good different, something seemed right about her. She knew how to push his buttons, including insulting his manhood, he loved it. He looked her in the eyes as she whispered his name.
What is it Izzy, he whispered.

Polemistis had a swarm of emotions going through him at the moment, sadness, embarrament, and anger. Suddenly everything snapped, and he exploded. He drew his sword from his sheath which was lying nearby, and stomped towards her.
What did you say, I am son of Ares, I am the child of the god of war. I just did the most difficult thing in my life, and you have the nerve to insult me.

As if to put an exclamation point on his tirade he drove his sword into the cement.
Seriously, what is the deal with you? What else do you want me to do?

His face became a deep shade of red, and his eyes appeared to change red to match his temper.
Maybe I'll just find someone else, someone who won't call me a bunch of stupid names.

He glared at her awaiting her reply.

Polemistis felt her lips touch his, and he immediately began to calm down. Than he thought about everything she had said to him, and he began to get angry again.
You want me to calm down after that, you've got nerve. Since you asked so nicely than...no, I won't calm down.

Than he began to think, about what he was saying. He swallowed his pride and calmed down.

A blazing anger still sat within Polemistis' heart, but he forced himself to suppress it. He looked at her now within his embrace, and felt bad about how he had let himself get angry. He would never tell her this, but he couldn't stay angry at her.
Look, let's start over, do you want to go out or not.

Once more he looked down at her, and he held her closer.

Polemistis felt sad about her answer, but maybe he could reason with her. There had to be something he could do to change her mind.
Don't worry about leaving me behind. I'm a big bad child of Ares, and I have enough in me to protect myself and you. Just give me one date, than answer yes or no on whetherwe will become a couple. I only need one chance, and I'll even let you choose the spot.

He winked at her, and gave her a reassuring smile. He hoped that she would give him that one chance.

Polemistis was inwardly pleased with himself. He had succeeded in getting a date with Izzy.
You won't regret it Izzy, and despite who my father is I can be very romantic. Just name the place , and I'll meet you there. Don't worry about my heart, if it gets broken I'll have the Hephaestus guys make me a new one.

Polemistis hadn't really thought of where to go. He was silently praying that she would choose, if there was something he didn't know about it was romantic places. He fumbled for the right words.
Okay, ummm, how about, ummm, a beachside picnic. We'll meet tonight at say 8:30, how does that sound?
To be honest he felt pleased with himself. He had hopefully chosen a place that would be perfect.
