Cameras And Basketball Don't Mix.

Polemistis watched as the girl approached, and he suddenly found himself tongue tied. The one battle that Polemistis could never win, he couldn't talk to a girl witout looking stupid. He lifted his shades from his face revealing his piercing blue eyes. Just from seeing her Polemistis could tell that they seemed to share some fashion sense. She wore a leather jacket and shades just the same as him. Her hair was also red, his favorite color, how could it get any better.

Ugh, pretty girl with camera.

Polemistis shook his head and looked away. Perhaps he could talk to her if he wasn't looking at her.

Ummm, hi, I'm Polemistis son of Ares. I came down here to work out a little. What brings a pretty girl such as yourself down here?

So Polemistis, do you have a nick name, because if not I'm going to call you Polesy." She teased.


Polemistis could feel his anger coming at that comment. Not many people had the nerve to poke fun at his name in any way. Oddly though he felt his anger subsiding, he kind of respected this girl for not worrying about his reaction. He looked down at her, her green eyes boring into him. I get the feeling that we'll get along well he thought to himself.

I'm not sure what you could call me for short. It never crossed my mind that people wouldn't call me by my full name. I guess you would call me Pole for short. In exchange I'll just call you Izzy, how about that.

He gave her a look that seemed to dare her to contradict him.

Polemistis was loving this girl, no girl let alone one over a foot shorter than him would dare to test his patience. He grinned and turned around to face her.

If you were anyone else I would probably knock you in the head. I find you to be oddly faschinating, no one, and I mean no one would dare to contradict me. I guess for the time being I'll accept being called Polesy, but don't expect it to last to long.

Than to oblige her request he grabbed a basketball and began to slamdunk repeatedly. Each time he went up he used a different trick, each one flashier than the last.

Polemistis was having the time of his life, he actually was showing off to a girl. Than she stopped taking pictures and knocked the ball away from him, than had the nerve to call him a hotshot.

HOT SHOT, HOT SHOT, I can't believe you called me a hotshot. And you knocked away my rock.

He was about to storm after her, but the sent of apples and a hint of cherry seemed to act as a counter to his anger. He began to follow her as she walked towards the exit of the basketball court.

Polemistis could feel himself loosing control. He swallowed his anger and put his arms on the fence around her. He got close to her face and whispered to her.

I can deal with Polesy, but I don't know about Polesy McHotshot. That is crossing a boundry that I set down a while back. So how about we just stick with Polesy, eh Izzy.

He kept his arms around her not giving her any room to escape and kept his eyes locked on hers.

A shiver went down Polemistis' back. Had she just...kissed him, no it couldn't have been. He just watched as she ducked under his arms and began to leave. As she closed in on the exit he ran towards her.

Wait, I'm not a kill joy, really. Ummmm, I want to spend more time with you.

Looking back on it Polemistis felt really embarrased by that statement. It certanly wasn't anything Ares would say that's for sure.

Polemistis breathed an inward sigh of releaf, and collected his thoughts. He could feel himself losing it again, and his feelings for this girl were beginning to affect his judgement. He swallowed hard, and began to speak.
Okay sweetness, do you want to go out together. You're about the only girl I know that didn't run away from me at first sight. I like a girl that won't be intimidated by even the wrath of a child of Ares.

He looked at her expectantly waiting for her answer.

Polemistis got a glint in his eye, he knew she was challenging him, and he liked a challenge.
Okay sweetness, I won't call you sweetness anymore hahaha. I don't dare assume you'll go out with me, but I figured I would ask anyways. So, you never answered the question....sweetness.
This was the most fun Polemistis had since the horse stampede.

Polemistis stood there in shock, this definitely wasn't the reaction he'd quite expected. This wasn't to say he didn't like it though. He put his arms around her in an embrace, and than pulled gently away.
So goes this mean yes...Izzy?

Polemistis watched as she walked away, not satisfied with the answer. Once more he followed her not willing to give up so easily.
Don't think of it as being tied down, think of it it as ummm, anything but that. Look there is something special about you, something different, and I like that.

He thought to himself, maybe if I kiss her it will help make up her mind.

Polemistis' first reaction was shock, he'd been compared to animals before, but not ones with tails between there legs. His face turned red with anger, and he turned away as if to leave. He quickly turned around and held her in an embrace again and kissed her. Sure he was no romantic, but he had literally no idea how to handle the situation.
If you want me to become very angry with you your pushing me very close, he whipered.

Polemistis continued to hold her in an embrace, and to answer her question he began to squeze her. Not in a threatening way, but merely to show her what he could do.
There are alot of things I could do Izzy, but will I do them...maybe. That all depends on how far you intend to push me.
He slackened his grip on her, but held her closer to him.
