Setting out on a quest

Adam grunted, and Courtney had her attention on the harp. "Be patient." said Courtney. Adam just sighed, and looked at his watch.

"Were only 'bout a turn ways from the airpot miss." said the driver. Macy felt singing the Hallelujah chorus, and in turn, she heard courtney play it on her harp from the back seat.

Macy watched as the airport came into view. Jets swarmed the air like bees. The sky was overcast and lightening was flashing. "Great flying whether." Macy joked.

Macy laughed as the car pulled to a stop by the entrance. She pulled her sack over her shoulder and hopped out. "Okay guys, looks like were flying on US Airways... Awesome! We've got fist class!" she called out happily.

As they all walked into the crowded air port, Macy fell back and walked beside Adam. "Try not to be too cheerful." she whispered to him.

"Wow," Macy continued, "Reducing to one syllable responses. Harsh." She smiled up at him. "Oh come on! I'm trying to help you. The least you could do is laugh. I could even settle for a smile." She gave a big smile, trying to encourage him.

"Well then never mind." Macy said walking away a little hurt. They walked until they found their terminal and sat down waiting for the plane. Macy was beginning to get worried about her mother and new brother. What if they didn't get their in time? She hugged her knees and stared ahead, lost in thought.

Macy looked over. "You broke up with Lily?" she asked in shock. Adam and Lily had been dating for what seemed like forever. "I'm so sorry. It's because of this stupid quest isn't it?" she asked, feeling terrible about asking him to come, only to lead to him breaking up with Lily.

"Oh, so you think I need protection do you?" Macy asked jokingly. "Who was the one who killed a hellhound while it was trying to attack you in your sleep? Who was the one who shoved you out of the way of a lightening bolt when we were 13?"

"Darn it, you won." Macy muttered. She looked up smiling, then her smile flickered and faded. "Well, it's a good thing your here, quest boy. Minotaur at 4 o'clock." Standing in front of a magazine store was a 6 foot tall minotaur. He had a glistening axe in one hand, and plane tickets in the other.

"If we miss the flight, my mom and brother could be gone by then. We need to just ignore it for now and hope it doesn't come looking for a fight." I said breathlessly. "Courtney, give it all you got on harp and try to confuse it as we get onto the plane!"

The three half bloods made their way onto the plane. They found their seats, all the while Courtney was playing the harp. Things went pretty smoothly until, lift off. Right as the pane was leaving the terminal, there was a loud cash on the hull of the plane. Apparently, mortals couldn't hear it so they take off went on. Macy looked over at Adam and Courtney. "You don't think it's on top of the plane do you?" she asked worriedly.

"Come on, we need to help him!" Macy said worriedly. She whipped her two electric dagger from her hiking boots and ran down the narrow isle.
