Setting out on a quest

"Adam!" Macy continued to shout. But Adam remained unconscious. Then she hear the worst sound of her life. A scream of pain and then a loud thump came from her mothers cage. "NO!!" Macy screeched. Her mother lay on the ground, limp and cold. The minotaur stooped down and pulled the axe from her mothers head and licked the blood off of it. Fury overcame her, she felt it rising up inside of herself. The ropes around her fell off in ashes as she felt electricity flying off of her. She pulled out her daggers before the minotaur had time to react. She charged will all the strength that was left in her. Her daggers struck the axe and sparks flew into the air. Macy danced around the monster, slashing anywhere that she could get at. Then she lunged at it's heart. She felt her dagger rip upwards, and also felt a sharp pain in her leg. But before anything else could happen, she fell to the ground on top of a pile of dust. The monster was dead.

I shook, experiecing a nightmare. "Courtney, Macy..." I moaned.

OOC: gotta go, be back tomorrow

OCC: okay

BIC: Macy felt her vision going blurry. Her leg was twisted in the wrong direction, her face was white with pain. She pushed her dagger over to where Courtney sat and said, "Cut yourself free." Then she slowly and painfully dragged herself over to where Adam lay. "Adam, wake up..." She croaked. She reached her hand out to him, put quickly pulled it back. Her arm was shredded and was bleeding profusely. "Adam, help...."

It had to have been the strangest thing Macy had ever experienced. She felt like her mind literally reached out and received strength from Adam. She felt the strength flow through her and knew what she had to do. She became focused again. She took off her jacket and wrapped it around her arm and tried to keep pressure on it.. Her back wasn't bleeding as bad so she would just have to wait on that. She stood up on one leg and said to Courtney, "Can you get Davian from the cage?"

"Thanks." she said. Then she called, "Do you have any major injuries?"

"What do you mean good luck?" she demanded. She took Adam's jacket off of him and began to press it against his many wounds. Her pack was back over the hill which held her first aid kit and ambrosia, but she was in no state to go get it. "Courtney, can you manage to get my sack back over the hill?"

OCC: Wait, did Courtney say no or Adam?

OCC: okay
BIC: "Don't be stupid Adam, you can barely keep conscious. We're not leaving without you either." She said while wiping his forehead with the jacket.

She smirked and whispered, "Who needs protection now, quest boy?" Then I turned back to Courtney. "So did you get the sack?"

Macy avoided looking at Courtney's eyes because she soon felt the tears well up in her own. "Yes, just hand me some antiseptic creme and bandages. After that, I'll need you to break off some ambrosia." She winced at the end. Her strength was diminishing and her leg was in intense pain. Courtney handed her the supplies and Macy set to work as fast as her nervous, shaking hands would let her. After about 5 minutes, Adam was all bandaged up. "Just the ambrosia left." Macy sighed in relief. She had to help Adam before herself, but her once golden jack was turning crimson red as it was tied around her arm. She got the ambrosia and carefully dropped it into Adam's mouth. She was greatly tempted to put all of it, but knew that too much would kill him.

Macy waited for what felt like hours. Finally, she saw Adam open his eyes and give a cough. "He's okay." she said in relief. "Nice of you to come back." she said teasingly. She reached out a her hand to feel if he had a fever but jumped back, again forgetting about her arm. The jacket was soaked and dripping blood from her arm. The jump also hurt her leg again and she felt her face turn pale with pain.

"Thanks Adam. Looks like I need your protection more than I think. All though, now I don't have any scars to show off... " she said and looked up at him smiling.

Macy raised her eyebrows at Courtney and let out a whoop-woo whistle. She saw Courtney starting to turn red and said with a smirk, "Aw come on. I'm only joking... slightly."

"If only we could shut the baby up." she said as Davian began to cry. Macy picked him up and began to rock him back and forth in her arms, he stopped crying quickly. He was so tiny. So perfect. Macy's mother had died for this child. She would protect him with her life. "Look how amazing he is." Macy said showing Adam and Courtney in awe. Then she pressed onto more serious matters. She took a deep breath and said, "I think we should burry my mom at the tree." She looked up to Adam and saw his confused expression. Macy choked back tears. "Adam, she died during the battle... she died protecting..." she couldn't hold it anymore. She brought her knees to her neck and sobbed into her arms.
