Zin looked at him like he had just grown a head or two in front of her. "Uh, er, sorry. I can-don't think I could. I-I.." she felt guilty. Whenever someone asks her out, she declines them with a proper reason. But she can't say no to Connor. "Sorry." she looked at her apologeticaly. Her lips were in a straight line and she turned back into watching the sea rock back and forth.

"Sure. Okay." he mumbled. He never danced before, but how hard could it be? It was just swaying right?

"I'm not hiding ma'am. It's just.. he thought about it. Thinking ways into saying that he wasn't into all these without looking like a loner. "I'm not really into these stuff." he admitted.

Melina understood his logic. Not all kids were into parties and such. "I know what you mean. I'm waiting for someone, but I don't think they are coming. I guess I'll be alone tonight." She managed a smile as she spoke.

"I've never danced in my life, so don't expect me to be some sort of professional ballroom dancer," she teased. Taking his hand, she escorted him to the dance floor. Tons of half-bloods surrounded the two; all doing their own type of dance. "Ready?"

Connor Chambers

Connor stared at Zin with a puzzled expression, but later softened into a concerned one. "Zin," he addressed, "Is everything alright?"

"Everything's alright." she admitted. "I just think that you'll have mich better fun if you didn't hang out with me here." she said quietly. As much as she wanted someone to be with, she must accept the fact that she isn't what we'd call 'social'.

"Don't worry Victoria. I don't know anything about ballroom dancing." he chuckled to her. But seriously, he was thinking of oh so many ways in which he'd make a fool of himself in front of her. Soft the melody was and Jasper thought if he heard the music right. To the way others danced, it looked upbeat and fun. But why was it different in his ears?

"Don't worry ma'am. It's always impolite to leave a girl all by herself." he said. He got a small cup of lemonade from the table and walked to her. "And I'm always been taught to never make a girl uncomfortable." he said. True, he was always taught like that.

As it turned out my friends, convinced me to go to this party! There wasn't anything here I couldn't get anywhere else. It ticked me off the ah they tricked me into doing stuff, at least my clothing looked semi normal. Not some crazy, 'LOOK AT ME' thing, but i still deemed it an eye catcher. Boy was it doing it's job I was getting more looks than Santa Clause strolling through Times Square in July!

Melina smiled at his words. "Who taught you that?" she asked curiously. Truely, Melina was intrigued at the thought. Not even Kai was like this, but he was a son of Hades; he was probably born that way. He had a hard past too.

Victoria Murphy

Victoria didn't know of anything else to do besides smile at Jasper. She had no dancing experience whatsoever, so she let Jasper lead her. Based off of his body language, he was nervous, and so was she. It was probably embarassing for both of them not knowing how to dance correctly.

Connor Chambers

"That's not true," he admitted. "Zin, I'm not really what you would call social. I was actually planning on hanging by the shoreline, anyway.

She smiled. "Sure you are." she muttered. He didn't seem the type of person to hang out quietly. He seemed like the guy who could be the life of the party. And she was hogging him. "I bet you would want to join them." she nodded to the dancing people. Her friend, Jasper, caught her eye and smiled nervously. He was never seen by her like this until now. Maybe it was because he was having a blast. Waving her hand a little, and gave him a thumbs up, she turned back to Connor.

"Uh Victoria. I got something to tell you." he muttered nervously. It seemed like dancing was not as easy as he thought it to be. "I can't dance." he muttered. He looked at her eyes, wondering how she may react.

"Er, my mom. Actually." he said casually. But the pain in her eyes was there. How could the fates be cruel enough to take even the kindess of persons. Shaking his head, he tilted his head to the side. "So ma'am. Why are you left alone it this social event?" he asked politely.

"I think my boyfriend is a no show," she replied. It didn't really bother her as much as it should have. Kai had a long day, and it was probably best for Melina to stay away from him for a while. That way he can think things through.

Victoria Murphy

Victoria nodded. "I can't either. Don't worry about it. Seriously, I don't mind."

Connor Chambers

"No, I'm fine. I'd much rather avoid everyone, anyway. I don't have a girlfriend to dance with. Plus the fact all of my friends are dancing with their partners."

"No girlfriend? Seriously?" she chuckled. "Though everyone wanted to be with you?" sheaughed. Not that she was interested.

"Then that's okay." he smiled at her. Looking at her hazel eyes and never letting him go. At first, he was oddly nervous. But later, he did movewith the music finely.

"Then that's not a proper boyfriend." he shook his head. No one could be that bad could they? "Even a pretty lady like you should make hi
want to run down here to be with you."

Melina nodded. "He's been having a hard time lately. I think it's best for both of us to stay away from each other for a while."

Connor flushed at Zin's response. "What do you mean everyone wanted to be with me?" He was left speechles; almost oblivious to what she was saying. He didn't know anyone that would want to be with him.

"You seemed like the kind of guy that makes, you know, every girl sigh." she said. 'The kind of guy that breaks hearts. Those one of those jerks.' she added in her thoughts. But who was she to judge him? He was great company for now so she didn't have any time to decode this guy.

"Well, if that's what you think is best." he nodded. He doesn't really know much of these types of relationships. It's too complicated. "But it is odd that he'll leave you alone when that's what ou need. Him." he muttered, smiling a bit to show he ment no disrespect.

Jack B. Austen. A Scot, and a hot one at that. He loved parties so as soon as he heard of this one he'd gotten ready. He'd put on some boardshorts that were all the colours of the rainbow flashing everywhere, no shirt of course and his shark tooth necklace.. His hair was spiky and messy and rock hard because of the amount of gel in it. He grabbed a pair of flip-flops and slipped his feet in them. He buttoned the three buttons and left the newly built Khione Cabin. Since it was now spring he wasn't the strongest anymore, his power and energy came from the snow, he was now the same as a mortal. Except that he was skilled in a lot of martial arts. Smiling he walked into the party zone. As soon as he was in he saw a few girls who he knew, giving them a hug and a kiss on the cheek he said he'd be back later. For now he was going to prey on some other innocent girls.

James smiled at Mini. "OK. Have fun. I'm gonna go dance. Come join me when you feel like it." James said laughing and entered a group of people dancing.

Elene danced around with the people nearest her and soon got tired. She decided to go get some punch and take a rest for a bit.

I didn't even see why I had come.It was boring.I was alone.How could I do anything at a boring dance by myself?

Dressed in a blue plaid shirt and trousers, Chris Talbot made his way to the beach, obtained a glass of punch and then stood at the sidelines. He was okay with dancing, but actually attended these kinds of events for the music and the lively atmosphere.
"Sup, Chris." Magnus Starkweather ambled up beside him with his own glass of punch. The larger guy was wearing his only formal clothing--a government agent-style black and white business suit. "Hanging out here, eh?"
Chris nodded. "Yep. Hanging out above all."
Magnus took a large swig of punch. "I see. I'm not much for dancing either."

Syn sighed. She didn't know why, but she found herself wandering down the beach towards the loud music and dancing firelight. "What am I doing?" she asked herself, swinging her boots in her hands as she waded through the gentle surf barefooted. As she drew closer, she could make out a large group of people, all dancing and socializing. She stopped dead in her tracks, just watching for a few minutes before turning her attention to the sea. She tossed her boots into the sand behind, out of reach of the waves as she ignored the party.
"Not my thing" she mumbled, smiling a little as the stars glittered on the water.

" God ship? What's that?" Dani asked. She had never heard of that before. Either she was really low on the social chain or... yeah that's it . Dani really liked it here with Thais, so perfect. She looked out into the lake peacful, she shut her eyes.

I walk onto the beach not wanting to be there but sense I was an Aphrodite kid I felt I had to. I was still really sad my friend was kidnapped. I sigh as I sit down in a chair as far away from people as I can. Getting bored I look around and see if Chase might be there.

I sneak up behind May, and put my hands over her eyes. "Guess who!" I commanded enthusiastically. I knew she would know. I just wanted to surprise her.

"Well, yeah. I guess so." she replied uneasily. Maybe Derek was right. No, she couldn't think that. She had to be a good girlfriend and respect Kai's privacy. But then again . . . Kai had to be a good boyfriend too.

Connor shook his head in response. "I never really thought of me as someone like that. Boys like that tend to break girl's hearts, but I actually feel for those girls. I wouldn't want to hurt anyone. Honest!
