I smiled "I guess it is" I said. Then I turned and noticed the other girl. Oh of course she is drop dead gorgous. They must be dating and he cant even notice me. Sure I was pretty but she was amazing, and I had just proved myself clumsy. I was totally kidding myself and I should just leave. But I..I couldnt leave him. I decided to just stay and hope. "Why thank you Shawn" I said very lady like.

I stand up looking at Lillie, "I'm Rita, Daughter of Aphrodite." I walk toward her with my hand out.

I glance back and forth between Lillie and Shawn slightly jealous. "I think I'm just gonna head back to my cabin." I whisper softly.

I frantically try to think of something to fix things, "Um...well...um, we can...Dont go Rita." I say gentley. "Just, stay with me, both of you. I like meeting new people, and both of you are." I say smiling and forcing a laugh.

I cross my arm over my chest, "Really? I mean, I don't want to be a bother." A pit in the bottom of my stomach was forming knowing that I might glow again. I hold my stomach. "Ow," I whisper to myself.

She clutches her stomach and I jump up to see if she was ok. "You alright?" I ask her, and then; "Yeah I'm sure. I want you both here..." I think, I think to myself.

I nod in pain, "Yeah I'm alright." I look up at Shawn, "It only happens when a an emotion becomes too much."

I bite my tongue. "I'm...sorry." I whisper, then, on a sheer whim, I wrap my strong arms around her, and bring her over to a log to sit.

I obey as he brings me to sit down. His arms made the emotion go away for a little bit, but it wasn't enough for it to go away completely. It made me warm but it also made me shiver.

I watch her nervously, and my eyes travel back to Lillie now and then.

A few minutes after I sat down, the growing pit in my stomach decreased little by little. I shrug his arms off my shoulders lightly and I look back up at him, "Thanks, I'm fine now." I say with a weak smile.

I let her go, but keep an eye on her, just in case. "So..." I say straining to think of a common topic, but all I could think of was CTF and training. "Whats your family like?" I ask and the question hangs in the air like a dark cloud.

I scoff, "What family?" I smirk. "There's only one person that I call family that cares about me back." I think of Charlie and how he's doing. I just left him sleeping there and I haven't checked up on him in a while. I'm sure he's doing fine.

"Same here." I say to Lillie, "Well, I have meet my dad, but..." I say remembering when I saw him on Olympus for winter solstice every year; he hadnt even looked at me. "It wasnt really meeting him..." I say softly, and just decide to forget telling about my backstabbing mom, who left me here at the age of two but raised my younger brother and told him everything about Zeus and Apollo, so he was prepared when he came. She even told him about how she was too young and irresposable, and didnt have enough time to take care of me, but with him, she had all the time in the world! "Thats it." I say after I had replayed that whole scene in my head.

"You sure?" I ask her after she says nevermind. "Its not like were gonna use it to black mail you or anything." I tell her truthfully, "I know how it feels to be betrayed and I wouldnt make someone feel that pain." I say softly, and wanting her to trust.

I give Shawn a weak smile before grabbing his hand and squeezing it tight. My eyes made their way down to my free hand who was feeling a little fidgety today. "Charlie," The pit in my stomach started to grow back again, "My son." I finally admit.

I am in totall shock, but try not to show it. "Your son?" I finally ask, and a million questions start to fill my mouth and throat, but I swallow them again, so I dont overwhelm her.

He couldn't really be interested, could he? I look back down at the log hesitantly. "Ok," I decide sitting back down. "It couldn't hurt to tell you about Charlie. He's always loved to be the center of attention. He gets that from being part Aphrodite and part of his dad." I say laughing.

I release a breath I was holding, glad she decided to stay. "Thank you." I tell her smiling. Then hearing the part about his dad I wonder who he was, and if they were still together. "Sounds like a cute kid." I tell her, then after waiting for a while, I couldnt hold the question in any longer. "Who is his dad?" I blurt out, and as soon as I ask I wished I hadnt.
