A N N A / M A Y / S H A U K // Z E U S http://www.polyvore.com/anna_may_shauks_dressy_outfit/set?id=52537642 http://www.polyvore.com/annabelle_anna_may_shauks_swim/set?id=52547338
No sir, well I don't wanna be the blame,
Name “I don’t like my name, so I’d prefer for you to just call me Anna Shauk. My full first name is too... princess-y.” Anna’s full name is Annabelle May Shauk. She hates her first name and her middle name though. Her usual response when someone calls her Annabelle is to stab them in the arm with her dagger or to shock them lightly. She would shock them, not so lightly, if she could.
Birthday “I was born on the fifth day of May.” Anna was born on May 5, 1997.
Gender “Is that some sort of trick question? It’s rather obvious, isn’t it?” Anna is a girl obviously.
God Parent “My father? The only reason I’m here is because my parents sent me here right after a lightning bolt appeared over my head. I have no idea what you mean by ‘God Parent.’” Anna’s Godly parent is Zeus.
Claimed “What does that mean?” Yes, Anna is claimed.
Mortal Family “My cousin, Elijah James Smith, he stays here too, doesn’t he?” Eli's mother and father are Anna's aunt and uncle. Their names are Elle and James Smith.
Years in Camp “I just got here.” Now, Anna has been at camp for two years.
Brief History ”My cousin left our house when I had just turned four years old. this may seem hard to believe, but I still remember him. His smile, his laugh, his mess of hair. These were all things that made him, well him. I was quite sad when he left, but I continued to get everything I wanted. Every toy. I wasn’t that much into dolls and doll houses; I was more of a tom-boy. My child hood was made up of Pokemon ad the power rangers. Maybe I would have grown up differently, like more of a girl, if Eli I had stayed. I remember calling him Ellie, because I couldn’t pronounce Eli. When I was about ten, I started seeing odd things. I saw a centaur once; half man half horse, right? I also saw other abnormal things.” Anna is from Brooklyn. When Anna was two, her parents adopted Eli. Anna loved him to death and would try to do anything she could to make him happy. When she woke up one morning and he was gone, it was as if her whole world shattered like a fragile piece of glass hitting the ground hard. He was that special to her, he was like an older brother to her.
A week before she arrived at camp, a lightning bolt appeared over Anna’s head. She looked up and gasped. Immediately after, her mother and step-father sent her to Camp Half Blood. She ran into a bunch of monsters, but the dagger her mother gave her saved her throughout her journey. She got lost a couple times, but easily found her way around things. And now she is here, but she’s very confused about what’s going on. She doesn’t really know what some of this demigod stuff is.
Since coming to camp, Anna Shauk has seen people she cared about die. She felt bad because some of them she never really talked to. She just kind of cared about them from a distance. This is because she has not let anyone get really close to her, except for her cousin, who died in a battle at Camp Half Blood. She recently found out that she has a little brother, though she has no idea who he is.
Physical Appearance ”Are you trying to steal my identity?” Anna is a pretty girl, not that she cares about that. She has deep red hair that falls down to the small of her back. It s layered every three inches or so and she is growing out long bangs. Anna has beautiful electric blue eyes like every other child of Zeus She has high cheek bones and the only flaw to her face is a mole near her hairline. The bright side about that is it’s easy to hide. She also has a small chip in one of her front teeth, but being who she is and having the past she does, she doesn’t smile a whole lot.
Anna stands at five feet and eight and a half inches tall. She is slender and light weighted. She likes to go for the casual look when she dresses. Usually you’ll find her in skinny jeans and a T-shirt, maybe a necklace and some jewelry if you’re lucky. Oh that’s another thing. She must wear makeup everyday. It’s a part of her daily routine. On special occasions, you’ll find Anna wearing an elegant dress of some sort.
Personality ”I swear you’re trying to steal my identity.” Anna Shauk can be very, uh, electrifying if you piss her off. By the way, pissing her off is not that hard to do because of her temperament issues. She loses her cool very quickly and next you know, you're a sizzling shish kabob. Not literally, but hopefully you understand that it is not a wise idea to get on Anna's bad side. She has trust issues. Anna can be really rude to you when you first meet her, but no fear, if she likes you, she'll eventually warm up to you.
On the inside, Anna really is a nice girl. The only thing that makes her seem unkind to people is the fact that she can't trust someone until she knows where their loyalty lies. Anna can also be enthusiastic about almost anything, but she's afraid to show her enthusiasm sometimes, causing her to sometimes seem closed off. She wants to show her enthusiasm, but sometimes she feels like there's a big wall in front of her, preventing that from escaping.
Since the death of her cousin, and countless others, Anna has become even more closed off and distant from others. It is hard to get her to join in camp activities with the other campers. Most of the time, she keeps to herself: training by herself, going to the forest alone, etc.. Though she does not want to show this to others, she has become a lot more emotional in the past several months since Eli died.
Fatal Flaw ”Er, I have a secret. I know who murdered your son.” Anna cannot lie. She starts lying but then she decides to tell the truth. She goes by the saying Honesty is the best policy. Sure it’s best to be honest, but there are just some things you shouldn’t tell people. What she doesn’t go by is If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it.
Pets “Animals are over-rated.”
Talents “Er...um?” Anna doesn’t like to think she’s good at anything, and besides she hasn’t really discovered any of her talents, since she just arrived at camp. **Climbing: Soon Anna will find out that she’s a professional at the rock climbing. She spent a lot of earlier life climbing over things to hide when she was sad or angry. **Archery: Anna has always been gifted with archery skills. Her parents got her into the sport when she was just ten.
Weapons “My parents gave me αστραπή to me for my fourteenth birthday.” Anna has αστραπή, translated to Lightning. It’s a necklace and falling from the necklace is a real electrifying lightning bolt. When she shouts “αστραπή” the necklace becomes a bow and arrow.
Year-Round or Summer “I’m never ever going back home. Year-round.
Other "My cousin's name is Elijah James Smith. Have you seen him around here?" Anna’s color is parchment.
Not anymore, It’s your turn.

After six hours of school I’ve had enough for the day I hit the radio dial and turn it up all the way
http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=54133641 Name “Hi! I’m Zinah!” Zinah “Zee” Grace Bayer.
Birthday ”I was born in November of 1995.” Zinah was born November 2, 1996.
Gender ”I’m a girl, thank you very much.”
God Parent “My mother is the muse of dancing!” Zinah’s mother is Terpsichore, the muse of dance.
Claimed “. . . Yes . . .”
Mortal Family ”Well, as far as I know, it’s just me and Dad. Well, there is my twin sister, but she’s not pure mortal either. Hash-tag HalfBlood.” Her father sent her to camp when she was a toddler; he was afraid of having a Demigod in he house. His name was Henry Bayer. He was a dancer too.
Years in Camp ”I’ve been here for . . . eleven years. Since I was five, almost six.” Now, Zinah has been at camp for twelve years.
Brief History ”Ever since I could remember, I’ve been dancing.” Zinah was born in Paris, France just minutes before her twin sister, Sienna Bayer. Their father had moved there and their God parent wanted them to be with their father as soon as possible. Shortly thereafter, Terpsichore laid Zinah and Sienna in their father’s arms and left back to Olympus in New York. Now, Henry knew they would love dancing and both have it in their blood, so as soon as they were old enough, he enrolled them in classes.
Zinah was a natural at dancing. At age three and a half, she started competing. She hasn’t been able to stop since. At age five, the Bayer family moved back to New York. Or rather, Henry moved back to New York and this was the twins first time living there, much less visiting the state. Monsters started appearing a few months later, in May of the year they would turn six. Henry made a very safe but difficult decision and sent the two to camp.
Zinah still competed, visiting her dad before and after competitions, but then headed back to camp a day or two after the competition ended. She couldn’t stay there long, and they both knew that. Sometimes, but not often, Sienna would come along too, but she didn’t really like competing. She liked dancing for fun. Then came a day, when Zinah was about fourteen. She and her sister were traveling to their father’s house three days before a competition.
Zinah opened the door to her father’s apartment, surprised to see that it was unlocked. However, when she opened the door, more surprise came, but not the good kind. She and Sienna saw their father lying dead on the floor. They knew it was from monsters and went back to camp immediately, causing Zinah to miss a competition, but this time, Zinah didn’t care. All she cared about was that her dad was dead. She was distraught. A few months later, Zinah decided to continue competitions, and dancing because she knew it would make her father happy.
When Zinah was sixteen, she was wandering in the woods, when the camp went under attack. Zinah was ambushed by several monsters and fought her way through them. After the battle, she looked around her, and saw her twin sister, lying on the ground dead. She still does not know whether she murdered her own sister when she was trying to defend herself, or if a monster killed her sister when they were attacking Zinah. This state of not knowing the truth has started to drive her crazy.
Physical Appearance “My eyes are like the chocolate, melting inside my head. Haha, I don’t know.” Zinah has medium length, beach blonde hair that is just wavy. A lot of the time it can be mistaken as curly, but it’s not. It reaches down below her shoulders, but not quite to her stomach yet. She keeps her hair natural, as it is beautiful as it is. No dye and no heat appliances have ever touched this girls gorgeous hair. She does make sure her hair is brushed and always looks neat, though. She can’t go walking around looking like she just got out of bed, can she?
Unlike her twin sister, Zinah has acne problems. Nothing super bad, but her skin isn’t near perfect. She almost always has a splotch of breakouts on her forehead and she occasionally gets breakouts right under her chin. Her eyes are very brown, like chocolate, but even though she hates them, and wishes she had green or blue eyes, they’re beautiful. She has light skin, like Taylor Swift light. It’s pale and it hasn’t gotten any sun.
Zinah is tall and slender and everything a good dancer wants to be. Okay, except for the fact that she’s not the most flexible person, so she has to work on that. She is almost five foot ten inches tall and she weighs one-hundred-and-thirty-three pounds, which is pretty good for someone as tall as she is. She has an athletic build from all the competitive dancing she does. She is not as flexible as some of the dancers she competes against, which means she has to work even harder to one-up them.
Zinah doesn’t really have a selective style that she likes to wear. She wears almost anything there is. From the crazy costumes for competitions, to jeans and a shirt, to fancy dresses. One thing she doesn’t wear very often, though, is shorts. She wears them when she rehearses dances, but other than that, she doesn’t wear them. She just doesn’t like them, plus it’s easier for bugs to get to her legs if she wears shorts.
Personality ”Oh no! I have to think about this!” Other than Zinah being an amazing dancer, she isn’t artistic at all. She can’t draw, do graphics, or express her feelings through words across a page. She has no artistic ability whatsoever. Her hand isn’t exactly steady, so her handwriting is really messy and so are her drawings. She rarely ever has the muse to form words on a page, and because of Dyslexia, when she does, they make no sense. She cannot work computers at all, so there would be no chance of her excelling, much less learning how to do graphics.
Zinah is a perfectionist. Either she gives up on something or it has to be perfect. And she does give up on stuff quite often, but not dancing. Zinah would never dream of giving up dancing. She’ll work on nothing else, do nothing else, until she either gives up on that particular thing or gets it perfect. This can be good or bad, depending on the situation is and how long it takes her to complete this goal of hers. She has made her perfectionism a sort of habit.
Zinah is very outgoing; she always has something to say. She is never afraid to walk up to someone and say hello. Nor is she afraid to get up on stage and perform for a humongous crowd of people. It is in her nature. She knows how to cheer someone up when they feel down, or bring a smile to someone’s face whatever their mood may be. Zinah being outgoing, she is also quite a flirty girl. Enough said.
Zinah is responsible. When something important is placed into her hands, she makes sure it gets done. She never leaves anything important alone and she’s always looking for ways to help out. This is one of the things that contributes to her being a perfectionist, except she never gives up these things. She can’t. Zinah feels the need to do this, and it too has become a habit for her.
Every once in a while, Zinah goes through a hallucination, usually relating to the death of Sienna. The death that haunts her dreams. She will never be able to forgive herself for what she may or may not have done. These hallucinations and dreams are slowly driving her insane.
Zinah is also very helpful and encouraging. She is always prepared to set a new camper in the right direction, and give them tips on their sword technique. The demi-gods at Camp Half Blood know that they can always count on Zinah Bayer when they need assistance of any kind.
Fatal Flaw ”I honestly don’t know.” Zinah has over-confidence. In dancing, competing and battle she always thinks she’s going to win. Not only that, but it also really lets her down when she loses. She’ll get hyped up for something, and then when she loses she’ll get all down in the dumps and depressed for a few days, which is really bad for her, especially when she isn’t in the safety of the camps borders.
Pets ”I don’t have time for animals.”
Talents “Dancing. Most definitely.” **Dancing. Zinah is an amazing dancer. She’s been dancing since she was born, practically. She’s been dancing competitively since age five, when she was only a summer camper, but she still goes to competitions, she just does her own choreography now. She doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon either. **Defense. Zinah is a good defensive Halfblood. While she can hardly make a hit in battle, she knows how to dodge, but maybe that’s because she dances while she does so. That’s probably what makes her have such quick instincts. It also helps when she’s climbing the wall. **Competition. Zinah is good at competition. She’s learned to watch her competitors to see how they do and make sure she does better, or at least attempt to. She always assumes she’s going to do better though.
Weapons “Χορός!” Zinah has two daggers, but they also take form of the jazz shoes she wears on her feet, changing only when she announces in a loud voice, the Greek word meaning Dance.
Year-Round or Summer ”Year-round.”
Other Her color is dancer.
I gotta dancer right on the spot, The beat's really hot; dance dance yeah!

| Name: ”Hey. I’m Logan Shipper. It’s…erm, nice to meet you.” A teenage boy sat in a cave, using the light from a lantern to read. Lots of campers knew him as they guy who read more than he did socialize. Those who didn’t know him as that, albeit only a few, knew him as Logan Shipper.
Age/Birthday: ”My birthday is December twenty-first.” Logan Shipper was born on December 21, 1997, making him fifteen, almost sixteen.
Gender: ”Gee, thanks for the vote of confidence.” Logan is, as you can tell by the name, a male.
God Parent: ”Why would you want to know that. It doesn’t matter unless my mom is somebody important.” The Demi-God is a son of Hecate, minor goddess of magic and crossroads. He can sometimes be bitter towards her.
Claimed: ”Yes. Haven’t figured that out have you?” Yes, Logan is claimed, but he doesn’t like it a lot of the time, in fact he’s insecure about his god parent.
Mortal Family: ”Well, my biological dad is Brandon Shipper, and he’s not married, but he’s engaged to this fortune teller named Julia Mountains. They’ve been dating for a while and had a girl together. Her name is Delia Shipper.” Logan’s father, Brandon Shipper, is a con artist in the New Jersey area. He is currently engaged to Logan’s step-mother to-be, Julia Mountains. Julia is one of those voodoo fortune-tellers. Before getting engaged, Logan’s father and Julia had a baby girl, Delia Shipper, who at this point in time, is eight months old. Yeah, talk about dysfunctional families.
Years in Camp: ”You know, you could just look at my necklace beads. I wear it all the time.” Logan Shipper has been residing at Camp Half Blood for the past four years, but he was just claimed last year.
Brief History: ”I’ve had a pretty, oh what’s the word, dysfunctional life so far. What can you expect when you’re the spawn of a goddess. I obviously can’t remember much about my early life, so you’ll have to ask somebody who knew me about that, but I remember around the age of ten I started to be able to control things around me. I didn’t need a match to light something on fire. That’s another thing: I loved playing with fire.” Logan Shipper was born only a few days before Christmas, on the winter solstice. In his infancy, he was always a sort of trouble maker and his hyperactivity in preschool made his ADHD highly evident. His teachers also began noting that he always seemed to be involved in troublesome events at school, one way or another. The teachers wondered why this didn’t bother his father more than it should, but Mr. Shipper knew Logan would eventually be making his way to Camp Half Blood. Logan started elementary school and was immediately diagnosed with a severe case of Dyslexia, but he wasn’t going to let that get to him. He learned to read, though struggling behind the rest of his classmates, and soon he was reading on a regular basis, for fun. His love for reading has continued on throughout the years and still reigns above many things in his life. Then the first signs of being someone special started to show up in Logan life when he was ten, and before he knew it, he could light a fire without using a match. He soon developed a fascination with fire and it did go away. He also realized that he brought a dead crumpled leave back to its autumn color. He was fascinated by this, but then the leaf got carried into the fire he was playing with by the wind. At age twelve, it was time for Logan Shipper to start making his way to New York, so he and his dad took a trip from New Jersey to Manhattan, New York. It took three years at Camp Half Blood before he was claimed by Hecate, but after that everything he was able to do made sense to him. He continued practicing his magic, and can now do more than he was able to do before coming to Camp Half Blood.
Physical Appearance: ”Um, well I look like… I look like this. Just come up to me and get a look for yourself. No don’t do that. It makes me really uncomfortable when people stare at me, even for short periods of time.” Logan Shipper has curly brown hair that isn’t too short, but not too long either. It’s the perfect length. He also styles it a certain way, every morning too. He doesn’t leave his cabin until his hair is styled correctly. He’s particular that way. Logan’s eyes are a little darker than his hair color. His eyes are as brown as dark chocolate. Logan has a slight tan, but it’s nothing to boast about, especially standing next to children of Aphrodite. His skin complexion is slightly oily, so it’s no surprise that he does get the occasional zit every once in a while. Logan has a tendency to forget to shave, and when he does he grows a light stubble, not enough to form a beard quite yet. Logan Shipper isn’t very muscular. If it wasn’t for a little added weight that he put on to prevent being called this, people would make fun of him by calling him scrawny—they already call him all sorts of other names behind his back. Logan is also not quite six feet tall, but not extremely short for a guy either, standing at five feet ten inches. He weighs on average, about one hundred fifty five pounds, but it tends to fluctuate, depending on his mood. Logan has a strange sense of style that isn’t really like other’s his age. He tends to wear shoes that are kind of out there, instead of the normal basketball shoes, or converse. As for other clothing? Yeah he wears his Camp Half Blood shirt or another T-shirt quite often, but when it comes to jeans, he likes to roll up the bottoms so that they end right above his ankles, rather than going past them. During the winter, he enjoys wearing sweaters.
Personality: ”I don’t really pay much attention to my own personality, but I tend to spend a lot of my free time alone, usually reading. For some reason, a lot of people think I’m reading up on hexes to use on other campers here, but I just like reading.” Logan Shipper is a book fanatic and because of this, he spends most of his free time alone. His favorite spot to read is inside a cave in the forest. He always brings a lantern or something and uses magic to light it, unless he has a match, which he usually doesn’t. A lot of people tend to find him sitting alone, another reason for this being that he doesn’t trust the other campers, and in many cases, he doesn’t like them for their parental lineage. ”I don’t like most of the other campers. It’s really unfair being separated into cabins by godly parent. I mean most children of minor gods and goddesses don’t even get a cabin named after their parent.” Logan is envious of children of the twelve Olympians. He seems to think that they think their better than children of the minor gods just because of who their parents are. Sure, he’s one of the lucky ones, only having to share a cabin with other children of Hecate, but he wants more equality among the minor gods and the Olympians. ”Gee, I don’t know what else to say, I’ve never really analyzed my personality before; this is all very new to me.” Despite his flaws, Logan is very modest. He usually doesn’t go on rants about things he thinks are unfair. In fact, he never really complains at all to other campers. He usually doesn’t over exaggerate about things unless he’s really angry. Logan’s learned not to show his negative emotions to other people, especially those he barely knows. If you’re his best friend, you have a better chance at getting him to tell you how he feels. ”This is getting really difficult. I mean, it’s hard for a lot of people to describe their personality. Why is this necessary? It’s so much easier describing someone else’s personality for them. Help a Demi-God out here.” Despite Logan Shipper being envious of the majority of the campers at Camp Half Blood, he is a selfless teenage boy with an ambition to help others for what is right. He doesn’t think about what he wants, most of the time, before thinking about what others want. This being said, Logan Shipper is also considerate, generous, and helpful, all because he is selfless.
Fatal Flaw: ”See, I don’t know and I’m 99.9% positive that’s a good thing. It’s a dangerous thing, knowing our own fatal flaw. That’s why they’re so, you know, fatal. I feel as though we’re more at risk if we know what our fatal flaw is, so I’ve chosen not to figure out what mine is. End of Story. Good bye. The end.” Logan doesn’t want to know what his fatal flaw is, so keep it a secret from him. Logan isn’t confident. He’s insecure about himself in most categories; sometimes it’s really bad. Hesitating in battle has almost gotten him killed a couple times, already. Who knows what could happen to Logan Shipper in the future war.
Pets: ”Animals and I don’t really see eye to eye. So, no I don’t have any pets.” Logan Shipper doesn’t have any pets because most animals are afraid of him.
Talents: ”Well, I don’t know about any talents, but I can certainly use some of the powers my mother gave me. Like, I have minor control over the dead. Not people or anything, just dead plants and bugs, but they don’t like me either. And fire. I like playing with fire.” **Necromancy Logan can bring dead plants and bugs back to life. At first, he could only bring small things like leaves and flies back to life and they would remain wounded, but he’s gotten a lot better since then and those things come back to life unharmed. Sometime though, bigger plants and insects will be injured when he brings them back from the dead. **Fire Logan can control fire a little bit. He can’t do anything super crazy; that’s Hephaestus’ job, but he can light lamps or make a campfire as long as he has wood and dry grass on him. He can do other little things as well. He has little matches at his fingertips, well his fingertips serve as matches.
Weapons: ”Why I have this sword, I’ll never know, but it collapses into this wand. The wand is supposed to help me with magic I can’t perform naturally, so anything that isn’t necromancy or fire related I have to use my wand for, and it takes at least one spell book and lots of practice before I can even perform it correctly.” Logan Shipper has a wand that will perform magic after lots of learning and practice on his part, but when he says the Greek work for magic, μαγεία, it transforms itself into a three foot long sword.
Year-Round or Summer: ”I stay at camp year-round now. I’ve gotten tired of home.”
Other: Logan Shipper’s color is purple.

Name: “My name is Owen. Why do you want to know?”
Owen Alexander Lansing
Age/Birthday: ”I’m 16 right now.”
Owen Lansing is sixteen, born on January 4, 1999.
Gender: “Is that some sort of insult?”
Owen Lansing is a boy.
God Parent: “My father is Hephaestus, god of the forges.” Owen is a son of Hephaestus.
Claimed: “If I wasn’t, I wouldn’t know who my dear old dad was, now would I?”
Yes, Owen has been claimed since he was thirteen years old.
Mortal Family: “Well, I don’t really have a big family, it’s just me and my mom. Or…I don’t like to talk about it.”
Owen is the only child of Elizabeth Lansing, who was in charge of her father’s old mechanic shop. Before Owen went to Camp Half Blood, he would help out in the auto shop, but their customers never knew that an eight or nine year old worked on their car. It took Owen a while to understand why he was so good with cars, and Elizabeth never told him. She had been planning to one April night, but she went in the back yard to find their dog, but never came back inside. In fact, Owen had watched in horror as his dog, along with two others of similar breed, dragged her to the middle of the backyard and murdered her.
Years in Camp: “I’ve been in camp since I was eleven, so how every many years that is.”
Owen has been at camp for almost five years.
Brief History: “That’s sort of a dark topic, don’t you think. Have you ever heard a happy history from the campers?”
Owen Lansing was born to Elizabeth when she was just nineteen, right out of high school. When she wasn’t taking care of Owen, she was helping her father in his car shop, until one day, when Owen was three, his grandfather died from a stroke. Elizabeth took on the auto shop full time, letting Owen play with the toys in the lobby, or taking him with her into the garage as she worked. Once he was old enough, she taught him the tricks of the trade. He had been a natural, but that was less than a surprise to her.
By age eight, Owen Lansing was working in the mechanic shop everyday after school. It was a way for him to destress after a long day of school. He didn’t like school. He wasn’t good at it. He had ADHD and Dyslexia and he didn’t understand why he had to stay somewhere where he didn’t fit in. Even when his mother, wasn’t at her shop, he still felt at home in the mechanic shop. He was always at peace there.
Then one day, Owen’s whole world came crashing down. In their small home outside of New York City, Owen and his mother were talking to each other, when all of a sudden, their dog started to bark up a storm from the backyard. Elizabeth went to go check out what was making their dog so territorial. Eleven year old Owen, watched as his dog and two other dogs murdered his mother. Ten minutes later, he ran from his house, a backpack of food and extra clothes his only companion on his journey.
Owen had no idea where he was going go. He knew that he could never return home. The memories would prove too much for his brain, plus the monsters could still be there. Why had his dog gone rabid and attacked his mother? How? Owen ended up camping out in an empty alleyway on the outskirts of New York City. It was the only place he could go to because he knew no where else where he could go to live.
Owen probably would never had made it to Camp if it weren't for Zinah Bayer. Already, a long time member at camp, she found him, luckily, and led him to camp. They had to face a few monsters on the way, but with as much experience as Zinah had, they seemed to be okay for the most part. Owen let the monsters distract him. He still lets the monsters distract him.
It took Owen Lansing two years to be claimed by Hephaestus, but after he was, his talents with cars suddenly made sense. He was the son of the god of the forges, the god of metalworking. He spent the majority of his days at camp either going to the forges to weld metal or to the arena to take out his anguish on his dead mother on the dummies. Owen frequently leaves camp to go hunting for monsters, just to distract himself from her death, which still bothers him, even today.
Physical Appearance: “You’re looking at me right now, aren’t you?”
Owen has short cropped brown hair that almost never needs to be styled in any way. He likes it that way, though. He doesn’t like having to waste part of his time on something that could get messy when he goes into the forge anyway. He tends to run his hand through his hair when he is in uncomfortable situations. Owen also has these chocolate brown eyes that can either look like a puppy’s eyes or like he’s about to kill someone, depending on his emotions.
When Owen was in his early teens, he had an acne problem. He still has the occasional bout of acne, but he’s always going to have the acne scars, even in his adulthood. It’s not something he likes about himself, but he learns to live with his imperfections, perfecting them only if he can.
Owen has always had a fairly fit body. In his teenage years, he started to lift weights, wanting to become stronger so that he can overpower the monsters he wasn’t able to defend his mother from. He works out on a daily basis. Also, spending so much time working in the forges, and on cars that some of the Hermes campers have snuck to the bottom of Half Blood Hill have given him quite the workout.
Owen Lansing stands at six feet and one inch, a decent high for a teenage boy. He believes that he is done growing, or at least he hopes he’s done growing. He doesn’t want to get any taller. He weighs anywhere from 190 to 200 pounds, eating well, while still maintaining the muscle from exercising so much. He has somewhat broad shoulders for a decently lean man.
Owen doesn’t really have a specific style of clothes that he is always wearing. It really depends on what he plans to do that day. If he’s working out he wears a tank top, and either sweatpants or shorts. If he’s working on something in the forges he’s wearing jeans and a T-shirt, but if he’s not really doing anything that’s gonna make him sweat a lot, then he wears a button down shirt over a tank top with jeans.
Personality: “Can’t you figure that out by just getting to know me? Oh wait, I should know better than to keep asking questions I already know the answer to.”
Owen Lansing can get to be really sarcastic at sometimes. It’s his way of shutting the world out. He wants to shut out anyone who he could lose to monsters. He has had a major bad experience of this when his mother died, which was only a couple of months before his sarcasm started to come out. After he had finished grieving, he started responding to other people with sarcasm.
Owen is also a little bit of a flirt. He is almost never really serious with any of the girls he talks to, but they always seem really impressed with his skills with cars and other mechanics. He is really laid back and almost always knows the right thing to say to a girl. In this way, he has a lot of self-confidence and self-esteem.
Owen Lansing sort of has anger issues. He regular goes outside the camp, whenever he gets angry about something, anything, and goes searching for monsters so that he can kill them. Whenever he is training at the arena, he can sometimes be a little rough towards the dummies. This is due to his mother’s death. He wants to get vengeance for his mother’s death.
Owen is pretty good at self-sacrificing. If it means protecting someone he cares about, he’s willing to do anything to keep them safe. He would be willing to die, if it meant that someone he cares about could get away safely. He’s got the chivalry of a lion, at least when he is not being sarcastic.
Owen Lansing has a fear of animals now. He is afraid that he’s going to get too close to an animal and one day, it’s going to turn around and attack him. He understands now that his dog was really a hellhound, but he can’t help but be afraid of animals, especially dogs.
Owen is brutally honest with people, no matter what. He thinks of it as a good trait. He would rather be told the truth, even if it wasn’t the best, rather than have a sugarcoated lie told him. He can’t stand liars. He has never once lied to someone, even to protect them. Lying goes against every moral that Owen possesses in his body.
Owen Lansing has empathy towards other people who have suffered in their lives. He understands what it is like to have something you really care about torn away from something you really care about. Despite his sarcastic attitude, people can always depend on him to be sincere when they talk about their struggles with him.

Fatal Flaw: “I don’t really know what my fatal flaw would be, nor would I ever want to.”
Owen’s fatal flaw is his anger issues. He can get so angry sometimes that he is unstoppable. While it also the character trait that makes him his most powerful, it also makes him his most vulnerable. Pets: “I don’t really like animals.”
Owen Lansing has no pets. Talents: “I have many talents, come to the forge or give me a broken down car and I’ll show you.”
•Mechanics and Forging: Owen Lansing is an amazing mechanic. He can fix almost every car that’s ever come to him. He’s been at it since he was very young, though, so it’s no surprise that he’s so good at it. Owen Lansing is a pretty good weapons forger. He has forged all of his weapons himself, except for his first one. He’s also done countless favors for other campers, tailoring their weapons for their needs.
•Counselling: Despite what others might think of him, Owen Lansing is a pretty decent psychiatrist. He is really empathetic and always has advice for the people who seek him out for help with their problems. This is something he loves to do because he can relate to these people. Even if he can’t help himself get over his losses, if he can help someone else get over theirs, than he believes he has led a pretty decent life.
•Swordfighting: While his real talents lay with the actual making of the weaponry, Owen Lansing is not too bad of a swordsman. He practices daily, waiting for the moment when he can finally kill the creatures who took his mother away from him. He would not be so good at it if it weren’t for his motives.
Weapons: “Which ones do you want to know about?”
While Owen has a lot of weapons, he only has two main ones. The chain his mother gave to him when he was ten turns into a dagger of the same length as the chain, the blade one foot long. The wrench he carries in his back pocket at all time turns into a three foot long celestial bronze sword.
Year-Round or Summer: “I have no other home to go to.”
Owen Lansing is a year-round camper.

| CHARACTER SLOT FIVEName:"My name is Taylor."The short girl's name is Taylor Elizabeth Monroe. Birthday:"Well, I've just turned fifteen recently."Taylor was born on January 11, 2000. Gender:"Is that some sort of trick question? I'm a girl of course."Taylor Monroe is female. God Parent:"I'm a daughter of Poseidon."Taylor is the daughter of Poseidon, the god of the seas. Claimed:"Of course I am."Taylor Monroe was claimed last year, when she was fourteen. Mortal Family:"Yeah, my family is a bit complicated. Do you want my real family, or my adopted family."Taylor Monroe's mother, Elizabeth Monroe, gave birth to Taylor in the middle-of-nowhere New Jersey. The first six or seven years of Taylor's life were more or less happy. However, Elizabeth died mysteriously while her sister was watching Taylor. Taylor still does not know how her mother died. Taylor's aunt put her up for adoption, not having enough room in her own house to take care of her niece full time. Taylor was sent to the Howard family. Danny and Beatrice Howard had two other kids, a girl and a boy. Collin is one year older than Taylor, while Hannah is one year younger than her. Taylor is the only adopted child in the family. The Howard's know about Taylor's demigod status only because Taylor's aunt knew about it and thought it was important that they know. After that, Taylor has yet to see her aunt. Collin and Hannah often made fun of Taylor for being adopted. Collin would even go so far to make fun of her for her mother being dead and for her father abandoning her before she was even born. Years In Camp:"I've been here since I was twelve."Taylor Monroe has been at Camp for three years. Brief History:"I don't see how that has to do with anything. Can't a girl have some privacy?"Taylor Monroe was born to Elizabeth Monroe in Bay Head, New Jersey, where they have a population of less than one thousand. They spent much of Taylor's childhood taking trips to the beach. Elizabeth would even occasionally take them down to the Outer Banks, North Carolina to visit Taylor's grandparents. They took vacations like these until Taylor was seven years old, however they still went to their local beach frequently. Taylor was staying with her Aunt Maggie one day when she was eight years old. That was the day when her mother mysteriously died. Her mother had given her a starfish necklace about a week before she died. She stayed with her aunt for a couple more months before her aunt put her up for adoption because she did not have the room or the money to take care of Taylor full time. She told the family who adopted Taylor about her father, but she did not let Taylor listen in, for her safety. So, not even a year later, Taylor Monroe moved into the Howard household, located in Manhattan. When she got there, the Howard's birth children immediately started making fun of Taylor for being adopted, when their parents were not around, of course. Taylor ignored the bullying, though. She was used to it. People at school bullied her for having ADHD and Dyslexia. When Taylor Monroe turned ten, she started looking into her mother's death. She had always been curious about the death of her mother, but every time she asked someone, her aunt, her adoptive parents, you name it, they would say they didn't know. Taylor did not believe that, so she started to take matters into her own hand. Research was slow going, but she eventually found the police report that said someone brutalized her to the point of death. She did not know why, but Taylor did not quite believe it. A year or two later, she confronted the Howard's about it and they finally told her who she was. They told her she was a demigod and then they took her to Camp Half Blood. On the way there, they ran into two monsters, a dracaena and a empousa. Thankfully, everyone got out of the two battles with little more than a few scratches, even though some of them were a little deep. When they got to the camp borders, Taylor said goodbye to the family she had for the past few years. Even though they thought they would see her again, she had no intention of visiting them ever again because of the secret they kept from her. When she arrived at Camp Half Blood, it took a couple of years for her to finally be claimed by Poseidon. She spent these two years trying to wake some power inside her. About six months before she was officially claimed, she started to suspect who her father was, but did not say anything about it to anyone, since it was not official yet. She was relieved when she finally was claimed, but struggled with herself as she tried to learn how to control her reckless powers. Physical Appearance:"I think that depends on someone's perspective, what do you think?"Taylor Monroe's wavy light blonde hair reminds a lot of people of mermaid hair. The only thing she does to her hair is brush it out everyday, but she never fails to look like a mermaid. Her hair goes over halfway down her back and it would be even longer if she straightened it. She has the typical sea blue eyes that every child of Poseidon seems to sport. Her skin is very pale, despite the extensive time she spends at the beach. She has inherited her mother's inability to tan. Taylor does not have the body build of a swimmer. Besides having long arms, she does not look like a swimmer, but she is a very good one. She is an average height, standing at five feet and six inches. Her leg muscles are very toned and she has a small waist. She weighs anywhere from 120 to 140 pounds, depending on her diet and her exercise. Taylor Monroe does no care all that much when it comes to her fashion sense. She is a very casual dresser. Rarely will she ever be seen wearing dresses. She sticks to plaid shirts and sweaters. She also loves wearing boots with everything she wears. She is always wearing the starfish necklace that her mother gave her a week before she died. Personality:"I think this depends on how you look at a person. One person might think someone is nice, while another person might think they're a suck up."Taylor Monroe is fairly philosophical. She always looks into everything with a lot of depth. Most of the time, she things everything has more than one meaning. To her, it all has to do with the power of perspective. She cannot prevent herself from being so philosophical, even though it annoys a lot of people. Taylor has extreme trust issues. She believes that everyone in her life is going to let her down, after the truth the people she used to love and trust finally came out. She wants to trust people, but she does not think she can actually find it in her heart to trust them. She really needs someone in her life who she can depend on. Her problem is that she is not willing to open up enough to someone to trust them. Taylor Monroe is an animal lover. Her family had a dog when she was younger and her adoptive family had several pets. Whenever she sees a dog, she's always the first one to pet it. Despite the grudge she holds with her adoptive family because she lost her trust in them, she could not turn down the pony they got her just a couple of weeks ago. She was just too cute to refuse. Taylor is a very quiet person. She does not like to talk to people very much. When she does talk to people occasionally, she can sometimes come off as awkward and weird. She wishes she were better at speaking to other people, but she does not seem to be able to get the words she wants to say out. This frustrates her about herself. However, the good thing about being quiet is that she is an excellent listener. Taylor Monroe is very adventurous. She always looks for a new journey to take. Some might say she's looking for trouble to cross her path, but she believes differently. She believes that it's going to happen eventually, so you might as well cause it to happen quicker than it would have if you sat idly and waited. Likes • Swimming • Adventures • Quiet Situations • Philosophy • The beach Dislikes • Airplanes • Heights • Loud Situations • Reading • Rock climbing Fatal Flaw:"Isn't it really bad if you know what your fatal flaw is? I try not to think about what mine could be."Taylor Monroe cannot let go of grudges. She still has not forgiven her aunt and adoptive family for not telling her about her father sooner. She does not understand that it was for her safety. She just knows that if she ever sees them again, it may not be a happy reunion. She is like this with every grudge she holds. And her grudges begin easily. Pets:"My pony? Isn't she beautiful? I named her Nerida."Taylor Monroe's adoptive parents send her a pony a couple weeks before and she decided to name her Nerida. She knew she wanted a Greek name and that had been the prettiest one she found. Talents:"Er, well I can control water, but I'm not very good at it."• Hydrokinesis: Taylor can control the water around her, but she is not very good at controlling it. She's only been practicing for about a year, so it's kind of hard for her to get the water to do what she wants. She can also breathe under water for short periods of time. Her record time is five minutes, but she knows her other siblings can breathe underwater for longer. • Sword fighting: As Taylor is hopeless with a bow and arrow, she tries not to get near one. Instead, she fights her battles with a sword. This is something she actually is good at. People have told her recently that she has really good form. Even though Taylor takes pride in her sword fighting skills, she does not tell many people about it, just because it is her strongest asset. • Geokinesis: As a daughter of Poseidon, Taylor can also cause very small earthquakes, though it only happens if she gets really angry. In fact, it has yet to happen since she's come to Camp. She does not even know she has this ability. In fact, she'll probably use it no more than five times while she's at Camp because it also drains her a lot. Weapons:"Besides my, uh, powers, I use this sword as my weapon."Taylor Monroe's sword comes from the center starfish on her necklace. When she touches it and says, "θάλασσα." It springs to life. It's a three foot long celestial bronze sword. Year-round or Summer:" "I wouldn't dare try to go back to where I live now."Taylor is a year-round camper. She does not want to see any of her relatives, or her adoptive family, especially anytime soon. Other:"Uh, what do you mean?"Taylor Monroe's color is seagreen.
