I got my bad baby by my heavenly side
And I know if I go I'll die happy tonight
Azalea nodded her head. At least she remembered something. She wasn't completely sure if her memories would come back all at once or over time. She hoped to wouldn't take long like a year or two because she wasn't sure if she could wait that long. Then a thought came to her. What about the rest of her past like before she came to camp? She supposed it wasn't the best history because almost all demigods each had their own terrible backstory, she just didn't know how bad it was. She wasn't even sure she wanted to remember it.
Azalea stared at their hands when they touched. She didn't dare move her hand because she was waiting for a memory to come. She was waiting anxiously until it finally came. "Here, let me help you. I'm Logan, by the way. Logan Shipper. Who are you?" She blinked and then the memory was gone. She pulled her hand out under from his and ran it through her hair to make it look natural. "Your Logan right?" She asked a but unsurely. She was starting to remember names so that was good. It was just the major details that she was missing. "Can you um tell me the rest of our memories together? I mean we do have all day, and I'm not sure I can wait a year or two for the rest to come back. Azalea said.

Logan was more than happy to tell her their memories. He wanted to help her, after all. He said, "Yep, that's me. I can tell you all of our memories together, but I'm afraid I don't know a whole lot about your life before camp. See, you never told me much about it."
Logan told her every single detail. He was surprised that he remembered everything in such close detail. He told her, "I'm sure it won't take a year for your memories to come back." Though he told her this, truthfully, he had no idea how long it would take, or if she would even get all of her memories back.

Azalea smiled when he said he'd tell her all their memories together. She was a bit excited to finally find out at least some of the memories she had. She was okay when Logan said he didn't much about her past life. When he said she didn't talk much about it, she already knew it was bad. She wasn't even sure if she wanted to find out about it. But it could possibly be that bad right?
Azalea listened the whole time with a smile on her face. She still felt like part of her was missing, but she didn't dare say anything about it. It was like she was there, but at the same time she wasn't. It wasn't the same hearing a boy than actually living it. She shrugged. "Yeah, hopefully not." She said looking back at the sky. But she could hear it in his voice that it probably would. "So uh did you know anything else about me?" She asked a but hopefully.

Logan tried to think. Was there something that he didn't tell her? Logan could not think of anything that he had yet to tell her yet. He told her so, "I think that is all that I can remember. If I think of something, I'll let you know." Logan looked down at the ground, trying to think of what to say to her. He had no idea what he could say to make things less...awkward. He asked her, "So, um, is there anything you want to do now."

Azalea could tell it was awkward. She uses to be able to say something in this situations. But now she could barely say anything. "No not really. If all of the campers found out where I was in the last few days, they'll all want to hang me. You're probably the only one who can stand ten feet away from me without wanting to murder me." She said. She looked back at the sky, the night sky appearing back into her mind. She would probably come back later considering everyone would probably hate her. She wasn't sure if she could handle all that. Even if they didn't mind her joining Kronos, they would mention things she didn't know about. Things she used to know about. Gods, how could I've been so stupid?, She thought to herself. She turned back to Logan. "Would you mind telling me about your history?" She suggested. He probably wouldn't want to talk about it, but it was the only thing she had left to bring back her life before camp.

Logan wished there was a way for Azalea to return to camp. He said, "You know, you don't have to tell anyone where you've been these past couple of days. I can keep a secret or two." Logan was not planning on telling anyone about where Azalea had been. He did not want to do anything to ruin things for her.
"My history? Same old, same old, I guess. I have Dyslexia and ADHD so I had trouble in school, but I learned to read pretty well and now it's one of my favorite things to do. Um, when I was a kid I realized I could make fireballs, bring dead plants, like flowers and leaves, back to life. So yeah. I kept to myself at Camp a lot. Until I met you. One day, I went to New York alone and I got attacked by a couple of hellhounds. Luckily, it wasn't an entire pack, or anything, but I still didn't think I was going to make it." Logan took a deep breath, fiddling with his fingers as he spoke to her.

Azalea smiled, a genuine one this time. "Thanks book boy. But I still think they'd find out a eventually one way or another. I'll find a way, an apartment in the city or something." She said. She leaned over and gave him a quick kiss like he had done before. No memories seemed to appear again, but she didn't mind. She was happy right now and that was all she needed. She watched him carefully. When she noticed him fiddling with fingers, she quickly interlaced hers with his. It felt comfortable and familiar, like she had done this before. She was pretty sure she had, but she couldn't remember. "I would tell you mine, but it's currently lost so." She responded giving another sigh.

Logan's heart stopped cold when she talked about getting an apartment in the city. Hadn't she learned anything from everything that he had told her over the past couple of hours? He said, "What? No, you can't get an apartment. I don't want them to take you from me again!" Logan realized what he said and then he tried to amend himself, but the damage was already done, I mean, it's not safe, living out there alone. You could get attacked by monsters again." And then I would never know what happened to you Logan thought. He smiled against her kiss, giving her hand a squeeze as she laced her fingers in his. Logan's face turned serious again.

Azalea responded the same way he had. "Gods Logan I can take care of myself! I'm not like every daughter of Aphrodite!" She paused for a second lowering her voice a bit. "Logan, I understand your upset, but I was here and they took me away from you. If you really care that much, I'll stay here." She said a bit nervous of his response. She understood what he meant about monsters possibly attacking her, but she didn't know what else to do. She loved him, so if she got hurt it would obviously be her fault. She looked over at camp seeing the dozens of campers walking around. If they found out where she'd been, she'd be dead the next minute.

Logan winced as Azalea yelled at him. He didn't know what to say. He whispered, I never said you couldn't take care of yourself." The truth was, Logan worried about her. Now, wherever she went, Logan was worried that that was going to be the last time he ever saw her. The thought of it pained Logan.
Logan looked away. He said, rather forcefully, "No, no, no. You don't have to stay here, if you don't want to. Don't let me make you do anything you don't want." Logan was feeling so conflicted right now. He was so upset that he could feel his hands shaking. A blast caused him to look up, he had caused a nearby tree to catch on fire. With a sheepish smile, he extinguished it. This wasn't helping his case.

"It just seemed implied I guess." Azalea responded. She always felt like that was implied, but she didn't say anything about it. She pulled her hand away from his and started running it through her hair a bit nervously. She watched as he set a nearby tree on fire. She sighed. "Logan, if you're not okay with the idea tell me. It's what couples do. We work things out." She said. She still want okay with the idea of the staying here at camp, but she would only do it for Logan. She couldn't remember the memories she had with him. But Azalea remembered that she loved him, and she still did.

Logan stuttered, "I-uh-I mean, I don't want to force you to be somewhere you don't want to be, though." He tried to clear his mind, counting to ten in his mind, like he had taught himself to do. He didn't want anything else to meet one of his fireballs. He looked down and he noticed that his hands were clamped tightly together. He said, "If you're sure you're okay with it, I would sleep better at night knowing you were were only a few steps away. I also know that I wouldn't feel comfortable living outside Camp right now, even if I had someone else to live with."

Azalea nodded her head as she listened to him. "Alright, well looks like I'm staying." She replied. She looked over at the view of camp, noticing it was somewhere near lunchtime. She turned to face him and noticed his hands we clamped together. She quickly slipped her hand into his to act like everything was okay. "I guess it's time that we go back down." She muttered looking down. They were pretty high up and she wasn't sure if she knew how to get down. She wasn't even sure if she wanted to go to the Mess Hall. She wasn't sure if she was ready to meet all the faces she used to know that we're now blank to her. She had to face them again eventually, so it made as we'll be now.

Logan looked over at camp. There would be so many people in the mess hall. They would all be crowding around her, wanting to know where she went, all in her face. Maybe it was not the best to go back during lunch. He said, "Are you sure? If you go back now, everyone will demand to know where you've been...people you don't even remember."
Logan would have felt better if they went back, maybe to the Aphrodite Cabin, when the mess hall wasn't so busy, when everyone was scattered all across camp. He wanted her to choose, though. He said, "It's completely up to you, though. Whatever you want to do is fine by me." Logan smiled shyly at her. It would be a while before their relationship would be completely mended, especially after their little fight, but Logan felt like they were starting to get somewhere.

Azalea looked back over to the view if camp and saw almost all the campers making their way to the Mess Hall. "Actually no, I'm not sure if-if I'm r-ready." She stuttered. She wasn't sure if she wanted to see al those faces again of all the people she used to know. She would've preferred to stay where she was right now, in the forest. She would've like to actually be on the ground. It would take awhile for her to have to get used to climbing trees again. She wasn't sure if she would be able to return to that habit otherwise everything else was fine. She was sure she could return to her old activities before Kronos' Camp, but she'd have to see. "Can we stay here if you don't mind?" Azalea asked a bit sheepishly.

Logan had no problem with staying in the forest for a little bit longer. In fact, he hadn't been to the mess hall for lunch in almost a week. Part of that was because he had been searching for her in the woods, opting to eat in the forest, but it was also due to the fact that he wasn't much of a social person.
Logan said, "Well, no fear. I have food in my backpack. But, um, it's down on the ground. Besides, we should probably go down there to eat anyway." Logan climbed down the tree, feeling around for each foothold. He hated climbing down the trees, it always made him nervous. He would've jumped down, but he didn't want Azalea following his example. He would hate if she got hurt jumping out of the tree. He waited at the bottom of the tree trunk, watching her to make sure she didn't fall.

Azalea smiled when Logan said he had food. She hadn't eaten in a while and she starved. She watched as he went down. He made it look so easy. She could already see herself falling down the tree and breaking something. She had already broken a leg she remembered from what Logan had told her. She sighed before making her way down the tree. She was taking at least triple the amount of time it took him. When she was close to the bottom, she just jumped. It was too nerve wracking for her. She turned towards him. "Looks like you're better than me at this book boy." She said with a smile. She sat down, feeling a bit better that they were actually on the ground. "Hey Logan, I have to tell you something. But don't freak out, okay?" She said her voice a bit shaky again.

Logan located his backpack and walked back to Azalea, sitting down on the grass across from her. He took out his food, splitting his sandwich in half and handing her one half. He opened the chips up and put the bag on the ground between them. He handed her his water canteen. He would survive without water.
Logan skin went pale when she told him she needed to tell him something. He asked her, "What is it, Tree Girl?" He was afraid of what she might tell him. Was it going to be something bad? She sounded nervous about something.

Azalea watched nervously as he took the food out of his backpack. She suddenly wasn't so hungry anymore. She saw him turn pale. Oh gods oh gods oh gods, She thought to herself. She took a shaky breath. "I was thinking about going back to Kronos' Camp." She practically whispered. She was about as pale as he was. She quickly put her finger to his lips to shush him. Azalea knew he was going to stay something. "Just let me explain. Please." She practically begged him. She knew he was going to be upset about it, but if he left (which he probably was) she wouldn't have to explain herself.

It took every single muscle in Logan's body not to get up and leave. Or murder her. He was hurt, really hurt. He guessed that it probably showed in his eyes and he could hear his pain in his voice as he breathed, "What?"
Logan physically couldn't look at her. He looked down at his sandwich, busying himself with eating it. He couldn't believe that after everything he tried to do for her since he found her, she was just going to leave him again. How could you, he thought as he avoided eye contact with her.

Azalea watched his expression. She could tell he was hurt. She sighed. "L-Logan they're just going to come back for me. And if they don't find me they could even take you." She said reaching for his hand. "And I could spy on them. Logan I could even get my memories back." She paused. "Do you know what if feels like to be clueless? To not know what happened for the last sixteen years of your life? To kiss someone you feel like you barely know?" She whispered the last part to him. Azalea knew he was going to end up leaving and she'd be left alone. Everyone would hate her now. Logan could even tell them what happened to her and where she was. If he did leave, she'd have to practically run. She could feel her eyes starting to feel up with tears.

Logan could no longer control himself. He hissed at her, "And what? Leave me here? Alone?" Logan felt his legs unbending as he stood up. He couldn't control them. It was as if he were on autopilot. He said, "Forget it," as he walked away from her, away from camp.
Logan's sword was out. He slammed it into a random tree trunk, the blade of the sword cutting through half of the trunk. He was physically shaking and he couldn't stop himself. How could she? What possessed her to do this to me? He felt the tears fall down his face, but he didn't care. He wasn't conscious of anything that was happening.

Azalea watched as he walked away. She didn't do anything to stop him. There was no changing his mind now. None of the tears that had welled up in her eyes didn't seem to come. She took a shaky breath before standing up. She had to find Logan. Who knew where he was now? He could've killed himself by now. She just prayed to the gods that he hadn't. He had walked away from camp so he wasn't going to start a riot to kill her. She started looking around the forest, calling out his name repeatedly. It had practically been an hour later when she found him. He was still alive. Thank the gods, She thought to herself. She walked up to him grabbing his hand. "Logan..." Then it came. The memory of the night she was taken. They had covered her mouth and started dragging her into the woods. She couldn't handle it. Azalea started running from everything, the memory didn't stop there though. She tripped, and hit her head on a rock. Making her go unconscious or even possibly dead.

Logan watched her fall. Despite everything he was feeling, he moved to help her. She wasn't responding to him calling her. Oh no, he thought, I killed her. Logan stood up and ran a hand through his hair. He turned around and the first thing he saw was the monster. He couldn't even register what it was before it knocked him to the ground.
Logan wouldn't have been able to stop it anyway. His short was still stuck in the tree several feet away. He felt himself drifting into unconsciousness.

No matter what the memory continued even if she didn't want to see it. It stopped when it got to the part where her memories were erased. Azalea woke up with a start. She looked around to see a monster attacking Logan. Even though she was mad at him, she had to help him. It was a dracanae, a monster that helped Kronos. Holy Hephasteus, how'd they even find him?, She thought. The dracanae was turned away from her. Azalea took her dagger out of her pocket and came up behind it and started stabbing it repeatedly. "Leave him alone!" Evebtually it turned to gold dust and all she could see was Logan's body on the ground. She knelt down next to body. Was he dead? He couldn't be, he still seemed to be breathing. But what was she supposed to do? She had never been in one of these situations before. There were bound to be more dracanae coming. "Logan?" She said, shaking his body back and forth. He had to wake up soon. She wished she hadn't fallen out of that tree a year ago, something she couldn't even remember. Logan could've been safe back at camp reading. And she? She wasn't sure what would've happened if she hadn't fallen out of the tree.
