Livia decided to throw a party for the summer solstice. It was the longest day of the year, right? Might as well take advantage of the slow waning sun while it was still there, although, as Liv later decided, she might have set up the party a little bit earlier, considering she wasn't even done setting up by the time people arrived. Come to think of it, Liv had never set up a party before, nor had she been to one like this. One which was totally unsupervised and unapproved by adults. When Liv was younger, she hadn't the audacity or interest to take up a project like this by herself, plus she was much too unknown to be able to host a party without people asking who she was. It's not like she was known now, but at least Livia was a little more shameless.

The lackluster decorations were proof of Liv's inability to plan; she had come up with this idea weeks before but only gathered supplies earlier that day. A table was placed halfway up the hill too the sand dunes, it was stuck deep enough so that it wouldn't blow away, but it wasn't exactly straight (Liv either was a terrible architect or too lazy to push the table farther in, most likely the latter). At least the chips and salsa, which Liv had snagged from around the camp, mostly the Hermes Cabin and the Big House, weren't falling off. There was also an ice filled cooler of soda cans, mostly name brand cola and some cherry coke (Liv took what she had). Livia sat on the sands with a cherry coke in her hand (it really was rather disgusting), waiting for people (if any were coming) to arrive.

Daisy loved parties. She loved going to them and hosting them. It was just fun to her, being able to talk to people and meet new people. She was excited to go to the summer solstice party. She had gone to the store the day before to buy some food for the party considering being Daisy, she wanted to be nice. She didn't care if she got in trouble. So what? What would Chiron do? He couldn't get everyone at the party in trouble. Well he could, but Daisy didn't want to think about bad thoughts.

Daisy was carrying tons of food in her hands. She had brought chips, cookies, oreos, and some different types of candy. She just couldn't help herself. She loved food and a party had to have lots of it. She smiled as she walked toward the beach. She had dressed a bit better then usual for the occasion in a dress and a pair of flats. She had woven flowers in her hair again with different flowers from her garden.

Daisy started to see the party as she walked closer to the beach. There weren't that many people there yet, but that didn't matter. They'd some later. She knew that. Almost everyone was fashionably late except Daisy. She saw a table with chips and salsa there and dropped off the food. She picked up a cherry coke and popped it open. Daisy looked around, watching as more people arrived. She saw a girl that was about the same age as her and walked up to her. She looked familiar, but she was sure she had never seen her before. "Hi. I'm Daisy, daughter of Demeter." She said, before sticking her hand out.

Sebastian didn’t care for parties in the slightest. He thought they were full of unruly people and just an excuse to stay up all night. Well, he stayed up all night anyways. Fey was sort of nocturnal, which wasn’t something you usually associated with morpheus kids, but he was different. For starters, Fey didn’t have a single friend, not one, and he didn’t want one either. So why he was going to the summer solstice party was beyond him. If Sebastian didn’t know any better, he’d’ve thought he was losing his mind, off his rocker, completely and utterly bonkers. But then again, as a child he did enjoy socialising, and so the child in him possibly escape earlier today and was commanding his legs to walk to the beach. There were already two girls there, both blonde and both incredibly shadowed in the fading light. At least these people wouldn’t know who he was, and Sebastian didn’t really have that good of a face to memorise either, so he doubt anybody would. He had dressed in the same clothes he wore a few days ago; a rumpled grey cotton t-shirt, black leather jacket, and jeans with grey converse.

Once he saw one of the girls carrying more snacks, he stopped dead in his tracks, getting some sand in his shoes. “Shit,” Fey said, half to himself and half to the the others. “were we supposed to bring crap?” Shaking his head, he kept walking. It wasn’t his fault whoever threw the party didn’t give out memos. He walked over to the snack bar and looked at the assortment of food there was to eat. It felt like Fey hadn’t eaten in days, which was probably correct because he forgot a lot, but none of the food here looked like he had to have it, so he let it be and just grabbed a drink from the cooler, not even looked at what he put in his hands. Sebastian would have preferred some kind of alcohol, but he didn’t think these campers would supply him with any. He would have brought a flask with him, but it was far too risky. Fey sprawled out on the sand away from Daisy and the other girl whose name he didn’t know and probably never would.

Faye McJean

Faye wasn't in a partying mood when she was assigned the task of reporting about recent events as camp. Recent events was a vague description of anything, that could cover anything from death to cabin ten's rumor mill. None the less, she wanted the writing experience and figured it would be a good way to branch out. Primarily it kept her mind off of bad experiences that she had a tendency to remember, which was perfectly fine by her. The less she woke up in the middle of the night drenched in a cold sweat, the better. The demigod shuffled around her room, making sure she brought the extra battery for her camera and more pens than she could ever use. Her clothing was simple, compromised of an ombre tank top, jeans, and vans. She had already applied unscented bug spray in case of pesky insects. After throwing her hair up in a loose ponytail, the journalist deemed herself ready enough to head out.

Her notepad was in one hand, a pen behind her ear, and her camera around her neck as she jogged over to the beach. Each step she took earned her a camera to the chest, but she ignored it as she continued making footprints in the sand. She arrived to see an uneven table with chips and salsa, a few demigods in the sand, and a cooler with a variety of sodas. Faye scribbled a few things down about the landscape before grabbing a cherry coke and walking over to Livia. She recognized cabin four's cabin leader and smiled kindly. "Hey guys, do you mind if I ask you a few questions?" the demigod asked, glancing between the two of them. She saw another, older teenager out of the corner of her eye, but he appeared antisocial and frightening, so she wouldn't question him at all. "I'm Faye, by the way, cabin six," she added, addressing Daisy. Faye had her pen and paper ready, questions buzzing around in her mind for the article.

Kayla Debacker

Kayla casually walked towards the area where the party was, trying her best to look like she was there to enjoy herself, which she was, but she was extremley nervous. The girl wasn't very experienced in talking to others at this place, or really trying to make friends with kids her age. Sure there was Tiberius, but Kayla was sure he hated her or something because she felt like she annoyed him. The only reason they knew each other was because he saved her life when she was almost killed by a hellhound at the New Years Party. Not exactly the most normal meeting. Then there was this party, it was all kids her age or close to it. She was always used to the super fancy parties that daddy had. One of the first world problems of being a rich girl . Anyways, Kayla trekked through the sand, happy she was wearing shorts under dress, and that it wasn't long enough to touch the sand. She rubbed the white gold bracelet on her left wrist, which was of course covered in frost. The daughter of Khione looked around for somebody to socalize with, maybe attempt to make friends with. So she walked around, sometimes messing with her long white hair that fell down just below her shoulders, she had straightened it for today, thinking it went with the dress, bracelet, and her necklace (knife). Just about the only thing that they didn't go with the rest was her converse. But who cares? They were her favorite shoes. Kayla was lost in this thought when her foot hit a rock or something.

A small yelp escaped her mouth a she fell, somehow managing to twist around, and landed with a hard thump on top of something. It felt like she had landed in somebody's lap. She turned her head a little to see the person. A skinny boy with dark hair and a gray cotton shirt and a leather Jacket. The girl squeaked slightly and quickly pulled herself from his lap. Sitting next to him and turning her face away shyly so he couldn't see her blush. "Oh. My. Gods! I am so so so sooooooooooooooo sorry! I didn't see where I was going, or you, and I'm really really sorry." She says franctically as the girl tries to apologize. She didn't want this boy to think she was some lazy moron. Besides! He is really cute. Nice going Kayla, you find a cute guy here and its by falling in his lap and looking a fool. He'll hate you. How do you expect to even make friends acting like that? she demands to herself silently. But she refuses to let herself look weak or stupid. So ever so slowly, and shyly, the girl turns herself to face the boy again. Figuring showing him the respect of looking him in the eye would be a kind thing to do. Her light blue eyes searched his face for some sign he wasn't mad. "I honestly did not mean that.she said quickly.

Livia took a sip of her almost empty soda, watching the first partygoer, a girl, advance towards the table carrying different types of food. Liv smiled and waved her can warmly. Livia was glad that the girl had come to seek her out, she didn't know if anyone could come and she was glad for the company. Not many people Liv knew were here. Actually come to think of it, there were barely any people here at all, and none of them Liv knew by name. The girl introduced herself and Liv gripped her hand. "Liv, Athena." Livia scooted over slightly to provide room in the sand for Daisy. "Your name is fitting for a daughter of Demeter." Liv said after a brief pause, because she had nothing else to say.

Another boy showed up, and after giving Liv and Daisy a funny look, he muttered something under his breath and walked away. Liv heard him, but she didn't care to respond, instead letting the moping demigod sit off by himself. The next partygoer Liv actually cared about, considering it was one of her closest friends and cabinmate, Faye. She was looking very chic, or whatever the word for well dressed was. Livia knew that look and it meant nothing close to partying. Frowning slightly as Faye spoke, Liv looked at her sister. "Do you even want me to make friends or what?" It was slightly annoyed, but Liv wasn't upset.

Daisy sat next to the girl in the sand. It was a bit uncomfortable, but Daisy didn't care. Her attention was more focused on the girl next to her. She looked familiar, but she was almost sure she had never seen her before. Maybe she had a brother? What was his name again? Quinn? Quell? She thought it was Quell, she wasn't really that good with names. But they did look the same, "Thanks. I don't think I've ever met a Liv before." She responded with a bright smile. Daisy looked around for a moment. There weren't that many people there, but she didn't care. At least she'd make a few more friends. She took another sip from her can before building up the courage to ask the girl if she had a brother. "Do you have a brother name Quell? You guys just look so similar." She said, taking another sip from her almost empty can.

Daisy saw a few more people arrive. She didn't seem to know them either. She saw an antisocial boy arrive and sat by himself. He seemed a bit unhappy. She wanted to do ask him what was wrong, but she didn't want to just leave Liv behind. And she'd rather talk to someone who would actually talk to her. She saw another girl arrive, she recognized her as cabin six's former cabin leader. When the they started to talk to each other, she felt a bit awkward until finally one of them talked to her. "Daisy, cabin four." She responded before giving her a smile. She was going to ask why she was going to ask them questions, but decided not to. She didn't want an explanation that would take an hour to explain. "Oh um yeah sure. I don't mind." She said, giving a quick smile.
