Inside Cabin Eleven

Clover raised an eyebrow at the creak, and noticed what Maxx had tried to do. She took a discreet step back, and then grinned again.
"Well, I know that could get you out of all kinds of situations, since any hair colour can look nice, if it's looked after right." She replied to what he'd said.

"Well, I guess it could. Talking to some Ares girl, accidentally tell her about her weight or something then; 'Your hair colour is nice... Is that natural?' Also, your hair looks nice Clover." I tease, watching her take a step back. Damn.

"Thanks. It's natural. Well, not the ribbon, obviously, but... You know what I mean." Clover replied, reaching up and touching the ribbon for effect when she mentioned it.

"It kinda adds Mary Poppins to it." I say, being followed by a chuckle - Though, it was hard to tell when everything I said sounded like I was joking -. "Have you got a bunk yet?" I ask, then say "Cause, you know, my beds always open." Oh. Did that just come out of my mouth? Guess we can see where it leads...

Clover gave him a very deadpan look, with a small measure of anger in it as well.
"That was very tasteless." She said, going from a high pitch to a lower pitch through the sentence. She considered slapping Maxx, but decided not to, as he was an admitted flirt, and therefore probably just playing around.

I smile at her, looking down at my feet like a school-boy in trouble. There goes my chance with her. As that thought came through my mind, I look up. "I think I've better leave..." I say, starting to leave the cabin.

"It's okay, you were probably just playing around. I was just saying it was tasteless." Clover explained, shrugging slightly, and finally lowering her hand from her ribbon.

"Yeah, well, I think I'd better leave anyways." I say, stopping at the door to look her over once more. "See you later... Or?" I ask, hoping she doesn't take it the wrong way. Oh gods I hope she doesn't take it the wrong way.

"See you." Clover smiled, waving.

I blink, like a deer stuck in headlights then grunted a goodbye, followed by a speedy retreat from the cabin. "Idiot..." I mutter well I'm walking away.

Clover raised an eyebrow, but didn't say anything. She stepped back into the room and looked around, suddenly realising Kenya had vanished, and wondering where she'd gone.

I rush back into the Hermes cabin after 15 minutes, a spear in my hand. "I just saw a real life werewolf. Like, it was half-human half-wolf. So, like a sphinx. But more human." I say, a grin on my face like I was extremely pleased with myself. "Also, Aphrodite has a anti-Hermes kid lock. I knocked on their door and it made me fall back down their porch thing!" I add, the grin still on myself. "And, did you know we have a mute girl at camp? I know right?" I seemed to have too much to say for one paragraph...

Clover blinked when Maxx came in, she didn't understand a word of what he said though.
"Alright, try that again. With gaps." She joked, grinning.

I grin, moving closer to her. "A werewolf. Something about a cursed daughter of Pan. She was with a deaf girl. And, I went to Aphrodites Cabin, knocked and they gave me a bruise. Cause I knocked! The nerve of them, making their door swing out like that. Then, well I was dazed they put makeup on me and took pictures!" I yell, whipping some eyeshadow away. I looked up at Clover, my eyes flickering up and down her. She had a nice body...

"Oh. Do Hermes kids have a reputation for flirting like you, or something?" Clover asked, tilting her head to one side. She's not very observant, is she? She hasn't noticed Maxx's eyes flickering up and down her.

"No, there's just me. We DO have a reputation for pranks. Maybe the cabin leader. To think about it, not many people know about me." I explain, my eyes settling on her face, like I was scanning every dimple, scar, or mark. She was actually really beautiful.

"Who is the cabin leader?" Clover asked, curious. She glanced around the cabin, half expecting to see some kid on a throne with a crown that said 'CABIN LEADER' in capitals.

"Some guy named Carson... He's pretty mean..." I paused to think of an insult for him... "He's a cheater. Yeah. He always cheats on his girlfriends." I explain, taking a few steps til I was close to Clover. I looked at her from up close, blinking hard once.

Clover turned back, and jumped slightly when she noticed how close they were. She took a step back, which was a measure smaller than the distance Maxx had crossed to get that close.
"It took you a while to remember his 'cheater' status." She smiled, guessing that Maxx had made that up for whatever reason.

I smiled back, it wavering for a second when she took a step back. "I was trying to think about what I knew about him." I explained, saying about twice in a row. This signals that I'm nervous, if you could catch that. "There's a mute girl at camp. She wouldn't talk to me." I say, the smile on my mouth still. "Seems whenever I'm talking to you I smile." I say, my smile growing slightly bigger.

Clover just caught his slip up. She tilted her head with a curious expression on her face.
"Are you okay? You said 'about' twice." She asked, then explained why she was asking. She hadn't reacted to the smiling thing yet, as she was quite curious as to what made him repeat himself.

"Uhm... I... I..." I stammer, my gaze moving behind her head. Damnit, now you screwed up. Way to go genus. Maybe she'll like someone who is honest. "I'm just... Nervous I guess..." I say, looking back at Clover. My smile was gone now, and it was replaced by a sad expression.

Clover's expression became even more puzzled.
"What are you nervous about? Is the cabin leader in here somhere or something?" Clover asked, glancing around the room a second time.

I shrug, my cheeks gaining the lightest shade of pink. "I don't know. I just am... It's odd." I reply, shifting on my feet. I scratched my forehead, looking back at Clover. I shifted my gaze to my feet, looking back up at her. "Wanna get a tour or something?" I ask gingerly.
