Oliver watched the fleeting red car escape from his view, leaving him in a cloud of dust and confusion. Mr. Davis hadn't said another word another than 'goodbye', then giving him a new ruffled hairstyle. For claiming to be some type of protector, the boy wasn't quite following. Sure, he'd saved Oliver from starvation on the streets, but he hadn't left the boy much information on why he was at some abandoned looking camp.
Throwing his duffel bag of clothing over his shoulder, his brown eyes scanned the misty horizon, looking for any sign of movement. There was none. In fact, it seemed to have been transformed into some kind of battle field, with ancient looking cannons placed on top of buildings, some of them seeming close to crumbing down. A soft breeze tousled his hair, making it more uneven then before. Figuring he wasn't going to wait any longer, he descended down the hill.
A certain smell seemed to linger in the air, making Oliver crinkle his nose in disgust. Looking down at the ground, a strange mix of red and black seemed smeared across the ground, like something had died. Moving a bit slower, the demigod kept his guard up, not sure if he could trust this place. As he passed a big building, he could've sworn he saw eyes staring back at him through the broken glass.
He readjusted his leather jacket, trying to keep into the courtyard area, until he heard a rustle behind him. Not taking any chances, he swung his duffel bag from his shoulder into the noise, hearing a small yip from the target. Oops, that sounded human.
Oliver turned his head around, seeing a girl around his age on the ground. "Oops," he repeated, dropping his bag. "I - er -" he began, taking a quick scan of the area, before returning his gaze to the girl. " - sorry, but could you tell me where I am?"

Anna woke up on the floor in a sleeping bag. Anna went over to her pack and took out an energy bar. She quickly devoured it in a matter of seconds. Anna was hungry and was trying to save her food. She was actually considering stealing some food from someone else. Anna quickly got out of her sleeping bag and got dressed in her Paris shirt and her blue dip dye shorts. She quickly braided her hair into a French braid and put a blue bow at the end. Anna walked over to the window watching the no existence in the cabin courtyard. Then she saw a boy with a bag coming down the hill. Oh Gods, please don't tell me that's a new camper. Surely enough, he was. Anna saw that he saw her and ducked she went to the door.
Anna quickly ran outside in her socks. Just as she was just about to grab the boy's wrist he had smacked her with his duffel bag. She gave a little yip before she landed on the ground. "Ouch." She quickly muttered before grabbing the boy's wrist. "This Camp Half Blood." She said and dragged him back to Cabin 5. "You're a demigod. You're mind is hardwired for Ancient Greek, ADHD helps keep you alive in the battlefield, blah blah blah. I'll explain later. Now hurry before the zombies come!" She said. She quickly pushed him inside and after she got in closed the door and locked. She gasped for air. "You're new huh? I'm Anna, daughter of Athena goddess of wisdom and battle strategy. And are you claimed?" She asked him curiously.

Oliver was about to ask more questions before the girl, Anna, began dragging him into one of the buildings with heavy artillery on the top, bound up in barb wire. The door could've been in some type of bank, guarding it's most expensive things by the amount of locks on it. "Wait, zombies?" he repeated, his accent coming through thick. Demi somethings and ADHD, what? The girl's words were spoken quickly and seemed to go right through Oliver just as fast.
"Athe - what?" he repeated dumbly, raising an eyebrow at the girl. Claimed? More questions that he didn't have the answer to, lovely. Rubbing the back of his neck, the boy observed his surroundings, seeing beds pushed to the sides of the walls, leaving sleeping bags piled in a mess for the middle. If Oliver hadn't known any better, he'd say they were preparing for an apocalypse or something.
Tossing his bag over in an open corner, he crossed his arms and leaned against the heavily locked door."I don't know what you're talking about, Anna, but -" he held a finger up for dramatic effect. "I do know that I'm Oliver Lewis." He personally hoped she wasn't one of those girls who listened to his dad's music, or cared for it. clothing

"Yes zombies. Children of Hades have been helping Kronos and have brought zombies to Camp Half Blood!" She said. Anna rolled her eyes. "Athena; goddess of wisdom and battle strategy. I told you this five minutes ago." Anna quickly went to her little space and grabbed her bag. She quickly walked back to the place where the kid was. "How could you not know this stuff? But fine, I suppose I shall start explaining because I don't know Chiron is...." She said quickly scanning the room to see if Chiron was there. "Oh wow you know you're name. At least I hope you would know your own name." She said sarcastically. "Well, let me start off with what you are. You're a demigod. Half person half god. Gods and goddesses are known to fall in love with mortals. And they have kids which are us." She said gesturing to show him all the campers in the cabin. "And the only place for us demigods to stay safe is here, at Camp Half Blood. If we go out in the outside world, that would be practically be commiting suicide. We attract monsters. And don't use technology too much. That almost puts up a sign that says Free lunch! Come and get it!." She said. Anna took a water bottle out of her pack and took a sip from it. "You want one?" She asked showing him an energy bar. "Anyway, your mind is hardwired for Ancient Greek. So if you have dyslexia, you can only read Ancient Greek. And if you have ADHD, it keeps you alive in battle. It keeps you aware of things. Oh what else is there?" She said racking her brain trying to remember what else she had to tell him. "Oh I remember! I guess you don't know your god parent so that means you're unclaimed. Soon your father or mother will send you a message. That's what claims mean. And since you don't know much about Greek mythology, I could teach if you'd like unless you'd like to pick a weapon out to help you survive in the zombie apocalypse." She said with a bright smile. Wither one Anna would've liked because she had never helped someone pick out a weapon. And she had also never taught anyone about Greek mythology. Oh joy, how much this was going to be!

Oliver frowned at the girl's response, like she knew everything. Crossing his arms, he listened to her rant/explanation, not knowing what she was talking about. Chiron? Zombies? What was this place? He understood the Greek part, but he knew little information about the people of Greece or what they worshiped; but Anna must've. In fact she was slightly annoying, and Oliver wondered if she knew that. Deciding that he was either going to really like this girl, or really hate her, or maybe both, he simply raised an eyebrow at her.
"So this place is supposed to be safe?" he asked, remembering the fact that it was a zombie apocalypse. Oliver didn't bother pointing that out, because he figured the girl would just reply with something like ' I told you that five minutes ago' , and he personally didn't want to hear that. He understood now why his dad didn't remember his mother, but that was still no excuse for him sleeping with so many women. The demigod figured that his mom was probably some sly, thieving person, or some goddess like that. "I don't need a history lesson," he replied irritably.
Just as he said that, the few campers near him gasped. Looking confused, Oliver searched the area around him, expecting a zombie or something to creep through the door. He lastly looked up, to see a dove flying around in the building, crashing into blocked windows and beds. The majestic bird landed it's flight in Oliver's hand, where it vanished, leaving a small, thumbnail-sized mark of a dove etched into his skin.
Trying to rub the ink off, it was of no avail. The mark was permanent. Oliver frowned, vigorously scratching at the skin between his left thumb and forefinger. "So, who did the dove belong to?" he asked, stopping as his scratching began to draw blood. Oliver hoped his mother was actually cool, because so far, the dove wasn't looking so cool. clothing

"What?" She said in response to his frown. "Maybe we could figure out who your god parent is. Do you like water? Does thunder usually rumble when you get mad?" She asked thing of the well known gods and goddesses. Anna kept on thinking of who his god parent could be. "Yes this place is supposed to be safe and I know the zombies, but it usually does. But the Hades kids who are demigods summoned the zombies here so yeah currently it's not safe." She said.
Anna just kept on thinking about Kronos and the zombies. Why did Kronos really have to do that? Plus why couldn't the Hades kids summon zombies at Kronos' camp? And where was Chiron? Soon an Ares kid came over. "New kid?" "Yeah. Do you know where Chiron is?" She asked him. He shook his head. Anna sighed. Then when everyone gasped Anna looked around and then looked at Oliver. There was a dove flying around. That meant......
When the dove went to his hand and turned into a little mark, Anna smiled. "The dove belongs to Aphrodite goddess of love and beauty." Then she remembered him name. Oliver Lewis. Where had she heard that name before? The Aphrodite cabin! That explained almost everything. "Your dad is a singer, right? Well, that attracted her to him. They met and had you. That's who your god parent is. I would show you where your cabin is but.... you already know why I can't already." She said pointing tot he window.

Oliver glanced up at Anna and gave her a look, he didn't know what kind of look, but it was a look, like shut up. He didn't want to make enemies at camp already, especially when they could easily kill him if they wanted to, or felt the need to. "Sam Lewis," the demigod snapped, his eyes looking at his shoes. Oliver didn't know if the girl was being honest about not knowing his name, maybe she was, but most people knew the singer who was slowly working his way back up the charts.
His brown eyes wide, Oliver almost gagged as he batted her hand from his hair. "What?"Please be joking, he thought. "You're joking right? Haha, good joke, haha," the demigod laughed weakly, his eyes pleading for it to be a joke. This was a nightmare. Belonging to a cabin of fangirls, who would go ape at the fact that he was the son of a singer. Personally, the demigod hoped the zombies would rip all of the posters of his father to shreds, and the CD's too. Anything with his father could be burned for all he cared; it wasn't like he had anything to lose, marrying another rich girl.
Sliding his wrist out of Anna's grasp, which was rather tough, he stared at the weapon rack. Leather hilts and celestial bronze blades shone from the light of a small light bulb. Oliver was so tempted to reach out and touch each and every one of the beautiful weapons, but he refrained. "Mhm, right," he smiled, finding a particular liking to one of the daggers. It's hilt was a blueish black, with spirals of white thread weaving in and out of it, the blade was at least a foot long, with the white color continuing to spiral through it. Holding it in his hand, Oliver grinned, as it sat comfortably in between his fingers. "Brilliant," he breathed, his trademark smile working it's way onto his face. The smile that meant he was either planning something, or wasn't to be trusted. clothing

"Then that rules out 2 of the gods, Zeus and Poseidon." She said and sighed. Anna took out another energy bar from her bag. She opened it and continued eating it. She was so hungry, she was willing to eat anything other then more energy bars. She was so mad that that was the only food she packed. She should've quickly ran to the Mess Hall and quickly fill her bag with food and then came here. When Oliver complained about his mom, she shrugged. What was he going to do about it? It's not like he could just march up to Olympus and complain and demand for another mom. "I don't really care if your dad is whatever his name is. I was just trying to find out an explanation why your mom is Aphrodite. They have posters and CDs of you dad in the Aphrodite cabin." She said and ruffled his hair. "Good luck. They never shut up about him." She said and continued chewing on her dumb energy bar. When Oliver mentioned the weapons, Anna quickly stood up and grabbed him by the wrist again to drag him to the back of the Ares cabin.
At the back of the Ares cabin were shelves and shelves of weapons. "There's all sorts of weapons. There's daggers, knives, bows and arrows, and swords. Those are the basic weapons. I suggest a dagger or a sword considering you have to lodge them in their heads. Otherwise, if you don't you're a goner. But it's your choice what weapon you want." She said and smiled at him. Anna liked her bow and arrows, but if she had to lodge something in their heads it would be way easier just to use her throwing knives. She just had to aim and throw. It was as easy as that. Anna had remembered the first time she arrived at camp. She was 9 or 10. But the beginning was the hardest part considering her dad just ditched her there and drove off. After that, she just walked to the entrance of camp and started new here. Except there wasn't an apocalypse going on when she arrived. But Anna did miss her brother Louis. He was the cutest. He was small and cute and loved Anna. She had remembered taking care of him. She read to him and fed him his baby milk. His little giggle when she played with him. Anna just loved little kids. "So where do you come from?" She asked leaning on a weapon shelf.

Anna smirked at his shut up look. "Oh I'm sorry for not knowing your dad's name." She said sarcastically. Then a question pondered her. She tilted her head and asked, "Do you really like your father? Because most campers here hate their mortal family. I certainly do." She said. She really did hate her father and her step-mother. Her step-brother was probably the best part of her father got married was having Louis. Anna tried to keep a serious face on when Oliver thought it was joke, but she couldn't. She busted out laughing. "A joke? Haha. Yeah right. They have almost every good looking superstar in that cabin. Movies, CDs, posters, pictures everything there is. And if you take it down they'll probably stick on 5 more posters of him. so I suggest that you not take down the posters or change your last name." She said and smiled at him. This was fun getting to help the newcomers, only if it wasn't in the zombie apocalypse. Anna also wondered what it was like to have a famous father or mother. To have all that money. She barely had 5 dollars, but at least she wasn't poor poor. If she had money she'd buy books and books. Lots of them, have a whole library of books. Anna wanted that, to have whole book of books about anything and everything. Have a map of the whole world and study each place. Oh how much fun it would be to have a lot of money.
Anna watched as he picked out a weapon. It was fun to watch and observe. When he had finally chosen one she smiled. "Nice pick, but do you know to use it?" She asked him.

Oliver gave a small shrug at her question. "Yeah, I do, but most people don't get why," he replied, trying to be open, but his word choice seemed closed. "He just doesn't have time for me, so why should I have a care for him?" the demigod asked rhetorically. Looking at his reflection in the inch wide blade, he flashed back to the last time he had spoken to his father.
The room was still as he entered, the singer leaning back in his expensive recliner. "Hey champ," his father offered, only to get a blank look in reply from his son. "What did you want?" Oliver asked, standing in the doorway to the vast living area. The room hardly ever held more than three people, with his father's career slowly sinking. "Oh, I wanted you too meet someone special." The demigod's head perked up at the suggestive word. Special. Frowning slightly, Oliver asked, "Who?" A pure laugh escaped Samuel Lewis' lips as he sat up in his chair. "You'll have a mother soon, a real one, and siblings!" he exclaimed, patting his son on the back. Oliver backed away, his eyes wide. "What?" The joy seemed to drain from the man's face as he watched his son's reaction. "I'm sending you to see them tomorrow, her name's Leighton, and the twins are Opal and Abigail, at least try to be nice."
Blinking, the boy laughed weakly. "Right, change my name," Oliver replied, his smile fading. Sliding the weapon through his belt loop, the demigod shook his head. "How many kids do you know that can fight with ancient weapons, that just got here?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. clothing

Anna nodded and listened while Oliver talked. She wished she had a caring father. Or mother, either one she wanted. A mom to tell her about growing up and dating and all that stuff. But since she didn't she just read about it in books from the Camp Library. She had no one to help her with anything, someone to talk to. "Well, I wish I was you. I'd love to have a father that cared about me instead of my dad." She said and looked down. All those memories they were supposed to have together if she was normal, went down the drain. No happy memories of them together, but she rather of her Camp family. The problem was she didn't really have a friend at Camp. The only thing she really did was read. Read, read, read. Books were practically her friends. They couldn't harm her or hurt her in anyway. But possibly Oliver could become her friend? She doubted that on how much rambling she did about everything. Anna took out her writer's book and just started writing how much she missed her father, how much she wanted the father she had dreamed of. The perfect dad.
When Oliver's smile faded she asked, "What's wrong? You don't like it?" When Oliver asked Anna that question, she turned pale. "Er.... um.. not many. And the problem is I don't know how to teach you to use it. But you could borrow a book from me about how do you use all sorts of weapons." She said. "Unless you don't want to read it."
