| Alfred Paterson| Alfie's summer was going just like he had planned. He had attended a variety of parties, slept in on many occasions, and even snuck out of camp a handful of times. Summer was going excellently, anyways. On this particular morning he had woken up unusually early - 8:19, to be exact - to the sound of camper's laughing. Alfie was tempted to go back to sleep, but the noise continued, so he got dressed. His summer wardrobe was similar to that of his normal attire: jeans, tee shirts and sneakers. Today he chose a blue shirt from his hometown and worn jeans. After throwing on clothes he headed out to grab breakfast.
Camp was far more cluttered when summer rolled around. The population nearly doubles in size as everyone comes down for the hottest months. It makes camp more fun, but it also makes lines longer. You can't just walk into the Mess Hall in the summer, you had to wait in line. Alfie didn't like lines. So like any other impatient person, he sought out a familiar face farther up the line to talk to. He scanned the crowd, unhappy at first. He couldn't see anyone he was friendly with. But then he noticed Sutton standing about fifteen people ahead of him.
"Sutton!" Alfie called with a grin, excusing himself as he shoved in front of people. The demigod hadn't actually talked to the girl since their date; nothing had come of it and that was okay with Alfie. He decided he liked her more as a friend anyways - beautiful or not. Sutton did not like waking up. She had plans to sleep in late today. She was enjoying her dreams of her and her little brother back in Italy when she felt a cold glass of water poured on her face. Immediately, she woke up with her hair damp. "Cosa diavolo era? What the hell was that for?" She asked angrily. 'We're training after breakfast. Get up." One of her rude cabin mates responded before turning on her heel and walking away. Sutton muttered a few words about her cabin mate before getting up and getting dressed. She threw on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt before walking out the door.
The walk from cabin two to the Mess Hall was a bit of a walk, but she didn't mind. She was just trying to walk as quick as she could so she wouldn't be the last in line again. By the time she got there, there was already a line. She sighed before standing in her place in line. While she waited in line, Sutton talked to the demigods she hadn't seen in awhile. She had a lot more friends when the summer demigods came to camp. Every few minutes, she'd look at the line to notice it was starting to get longer and longer. The line seemed to trail out of the Mess Hall. She silently thanked the girl for waking her up early.
Sutton was a few places away from it being her turn. She heard someone call out her name and turned around to see who it was. She instantly grinned. "Hey Alfie." She said before making room in line for him. "I've been okay. How about you?" She replied before moving up in line.

| Alfred Paterson| On an average day Alfie met about one person and reaffirmed friendships he had already created. He enjoyed being social, but not at eight thirty in the morning. The whole walk over had involved dragging his feet and grumbling about how early it was. No, Alfie was not a morning person. He preferred waking up around lunchtime and going for an afternoon swim, despite necessary 'training'. In all honesty, the demigod couldn't remember the last time he actually ate camp breakfast.
His grumpy thoughts shifted gears as soon as he saw Sutton in the breakfast line. It wasn't that he wanted to move up - he did, but that was irrelevant material - it was that he wanted to talk to her. Alfie hadn't spoken to her since their date for a few reasons. He hadn't seen her and he didn't really know what to say. The date hadn't gone badly, but the teenager didn't want to date this girl. She was great, but he liked her more in a friendly sense.
Alfie caught a few angry glares as he pushed past people in the line, but he ignored them. "Just okay?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at her. "I'm great, yeah, my rollercoaster's only going up right now," the demigod responded with a light chuckle. He glanced upwards, as if he possessed x-ray vision and was able to see what was for breakfast. "Do you know what they're serving this morning? I'm starving."the story's all off | |

Sutton could hear people grumble as Alfie made his way towards her. She glared back at them, a few of them immediately stopping as they noticed she was a demi-titan. She shrugged. "Yeah, nothing new." She responded. Summer didn't change anything for her unlike the summer campers. She stayed there for the whole year doing the same things over an dover again. The only difference was it was warmer and they daytime was longer. Which also meant she practiced longer. "What have you been doing?" She asked a bit curiously.
A minute or two later they moved up a few more places in line. "Um... I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure its waffles or something like that." She said. It didn't matter what it was, she either ate it or waited until lunch. She was way too hungry to skip a meal. As they got closer to the front, she grabbed one of the trays and handed one to him. Even though it was summer and there were more campers, that didn't change the camp food. It always seemed to be the same thing everyday. Sutton could've named the whole menu for the week without pausing. It never changed. The only thing they changed was the portion size. She was upset about it, but there wasn't much she could do about it.
"Do you have any other summer plans?" She asked as it was their turn. She couldn't help but smile brightly before putting some waffles onto her plate. She added some fruit on the side and grabbed a steaming cup of coffee. "Hey Alfie, can I sit at your table? My table's a bit full." She said, asking politely. She didn't like when the summer campers came because that meant more people in the Hera cabin. It was full enough with the people that stayed during the whole year. The table at breakfast, lunch, and dinner was always noisy. That's why she ate off campus sometimes so she wouldn't be stuck next to an annoying, noisy camper.
ooc- oh my gods did you see the new movie miles teller is starring in?
