Physical Appearance
Alec has sandy hair streaked with brown and strands of fair hair that fall lightly into his eyes. It appears several shades darker indoors than out under the sun. Alec usually has a cocky expression on that matches his slightly ruffled hair. His eyes are sage-green and framed with brown lashes, usually filled with an easygoing light. They tell a different, more serious story however, if one were to look deep into them. He has a moderately tanned complexion and is of medium build, standing 5’10 in height.
Alec seems to wear a cross-shaped pendant and a ring fixed onto it at an impossible angle, both of which he keeps on a chain around his neck. The chain is not very long, and the cross can be seen peeking out of whatever shirt he wears unless it has a stiff collar.
Alec has had a drastic change in personality, where his original self had long since been eroded away by harsh reality. He would have been described as outgoing and stimulating. Accepting of everyone, Alec treated them all as a friend and saw their positive characteristics as opposed to their negative aspects. He had a spontaneous temperament and was gregariously entertaining around people, especially at parties. He can be very sympathetic and concerned for other people's well-being, able to sense what is wrong with someone before they knew it themselves. Usually in the role of 'peacemaker', Alec used to be extremely benevolent and generous towards others—giving without any thought for reward.
However, after a serious incident concerning the labyrinth, as well as a relationship issue where a girl he genuinely liked practically used and dumped him, you could say he went a little to the psychotic side. His personality entirely flipped. Alec became cynical of everyone, believing that every being is essentially selfish, conniving, and had their own agenda. He himself therefore exhibited a more calculating attitude, toning down on his compassionate and spirited enthusiasm a great deal. After all, what was there to be thrilled about in a world full of liars? Going through the labyrinth especially, brought out a sardonic streak in him he never knew existed.
Alec had never manipulated for attention, but now he knows how to get it when he needs it for something. Regarding relationships, he doesn't take any to heart, and the company of others became more of a way to entertain himself. Truth to be told, it was actually him keeping his feelings to himself, buried under layers of distrust, that kindled his fatal flaw. Alec can never forget a grudge, and it is hard for him to let go of it, much less forgive a person. Provoking him certainly would not be the smartest thing to do. He is guaranteed to make an attempt to get back at whoever it was who offended him, and nobody wants to be surrounded with stone five feet thick and left there for a month with a ravenous, undead puppy. Especially not if his step-sister decides to intervene with her sick sense of humour.
Those who have observed a conversation with Alec before will find that he can very sharply perceive people’s incentives and interests. Through practice, he has learnt to lie and portray different emotions while hiding his own real intentions with surprising ease, and hence wastes no opportunity to use those abilities to get what he wants out of a situation. He is also negligent about who he offends, believing that in terms of mental and physical torture, there isn't much that can be worse than what he had already experienced. Alec's personal disposition and decisions can change rapidly according to the situation he foresees, which mean that he can as readily shake someone's hand as sever it entirely.
Alec can sometimes, strike that, all the time, be over-confident, and complacent. His family is very well-off, and he doesn’t give a damn on how much he spends. Though he does not spend as extravagantly as his sister, there’s always a credit card in his pocket waiting to be used.
Sympathy? Alec has nothing of the sort for anything currently. It died with the saner part of him. He may seem nice, but don’t mistake it for genuine fondness. Everything he shows on the outside may be absolutely different from what he is thinking. If there is something other than his looks that he’s proud of, it would be his ability to act. As he would say, “Life is all but an act. How you act determines how you survive in this dark world. So why not press what you can to your advantage?” True it may be, but that way of living has much complication, and yet he pulls it off with apparent ease.
For more serious matters, he helps only those who can or will give him something in return - even if they don't know it themselves. Alec has no qualms in following others, for he has never had the urge to lead or be responsible for the fate of someone else. If he has pledged himself to a cause, he will follow through on his part without question. He is however, able to make rational decisions and have others carry them out efficiently when needed, but those around him should never think that Alec's ultimate agenda will be for anyone but himself.
On the other hand, there is a chance, slight, but existing, that Alec's true personality has been subdued under his current facade. Can anything bring his old self back?
Dress Style
Mostly he wears his orange camp tee, usually with shorts or dark-coloured jeans, but he's perfectly fine with any other top. Unlike his sister, Alec has only around three pairs of shoes in his posession—which are trainers or boots in general. He does not hold flip-flops in high regard, finding them ridiculous in terms of footwear. After all, of all the things one can wear, why select a piece of plastic foam? When an article of clothing gets stained, etcetera, Alec doesn't bother trying to get the stain off. He simply buys another one. He doesn't like sloppiness or dirt in what he wears.

Abilities
◊ Necromancy Alec is able to manipulate the dead, death in various ways and feel the life-force of souls. He is also able to roam the underworld without fear, like all beings of the underworld.
Soul/Undead Manipulation He is able to control souls, summon them and communicate with them telepathically. He can also bring back the soulless dead, to some degree. Death Aura Sensitivity Ability to sense the life aura of others. Alec can tell if someone is dead, dying, or going to die. The link is weaker with beings that don't have souls. Pain/Fear Suppression Alec is able to reduce his sensitivity to pain or artificial fear, replacing it with a soothing numbness, though he uses it only sparingly. He has no idea if this power extends to others, and neither has he actually tried. Overuse of his fear suppression ability can lead to dangerous overconfidence. It has no effect on true fear he feels however. He has limited control over it as he is sometimes unable to un-numb the pain, and hence, panics as he is unable to feel anything for a period of time. Sometimes it even kicks in automatically like some self-defense mechanism. In fact, this is the only ability he is truly wary of.
◊ Limited Fear Manipulation He can manipulate the fears of people surrounding him to an extent, and he doesn’t know what control he has over it, or how it actually affects people around him since he can’t feel it himself.
Fear Inducement He, like all children of Hades, radiate fear and death at times.
◊ Geokinesis Alec has the power to manipulate the earth, any natural materials and minerals attained from earth, or anything underneath it. If its buried, its in his territory. It works better the closer he is to the ground, or underground. This power saps the most of his energy.
◊ Umbrakinesis Alec is able to manipulate darkness or shadows to suit his needs.
Shade Walking Alec is able to ‘melt’ into the shadows and be invisible to those unaware of his presence. While this is in effect, he can see perfectly in the dark. It works best at night or in places with an abundance of shadow. However, it is less effective on those who know his exact location.
◊ Shadow Travelling He can use shadows as a way of transportation, but the greater the distance, the faster he wears out. However, Alec is not particularly good at shadow travelling, due to his terrible sense of direction.
Talents
Accent Impersonating
He can imitate another's accent directly after he's heard it. It doesn't matter if he tries speaking English with a French accent or Japanese with an English one; if he's heard the original words properly, it flows out of his mouth with ease. With practice, he can apply it to other words and sound just like a native speaker of the language, even if he has got no idea what he's actually saying.
Acting
Nobody can deny that he's got a flair for acting - since they don't even realise he's doing it. He has a very convenient ability that has gotten him out of many tight situations. He is able to lie straight-faced in any environment, or even fool people who know him well into thinking that he is lying without making it obvious that he's trying and basically sending them into confusion attempting to figure out whether he is lying or not. He can portray any emotion realistically or mimic the gestures of another person. It is as if he can simply slip into the shoes of somebody else and play out their part flawlessly.
Linguistic Skills
Ancient Greek
Alec's brain is hard-wired for this language.
English
He can speak, write, read and understand most aspects of English in both British and American slang.
French
He picked up this language from his father and step-sister. He is able to speak, read and understand it with ease, though he may lack practice writing it.
Italian
Having lived in Italy for only a year, his knowledge of this language is not at the level of a native speaker and he certainly wouldn't be able to write advanced essays in it, but for the conversational level, he is able to speak it fluently.
French
He instinctively understands a few words and phrases in Latin, but is unable to converse or form full sentences with it.
.: flaws ||
Limitations
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
Like most demigods, he is diagnosed with ADHD. It affects him rather averagely in daily life however, around six out of a scale of ten. His personality has most likely suppressed his enthusiasm for life and hence he rarely gets excited or jumpy in normal situations. He maintains a great deal of self-control and is able to restrain his instinctive recklessness when the unexpected occurs. His remarkably fast thinking however, makes up for his stifled intuitive instincts in life-threatening situations.
Dyslexia
He is likewise diagnosed with the typical reading disability of demigods. It affects him around seven out of a scale of ten.
Posttraumatic Stress Disorder
Alec has had some rather unpleasant experiences in the Labyrinth. When triggered, he experiences wild flashbacks and sudden disorientation to the extent of a dissociative stupor. It will most likely not show nor affect others outwardly, but he may seem detached, suddenly refuse to engage in conversation, vehemently block out a particular concept or exhibit signs of extreme paranoia.
Sociopathy
Lets all face it. You can't deny that he's one disturbed kid. There's a difference between ruthless and the deliberately callous behaviour that he sometimes displays with interest. He may not be a pathological liar yet, but if he continues without help he may as well turn into one.
Terrible sense of direction
Despite his strengths being located on the ground, he's got the worst sense of direction imaginable. He sometimes even forgets left from right.
Fears
Acrophobia
He has extreme acrophobia, and will blanch at any mention of heights. Strangely, he is okay with travelling by plane, though it may not be a good idea as a son of Hades.
Claustrophobia
He avoids enclosed spaces if possible: probably a side effect of being trapped in the labyrinth.
Proditiophobia
He refuses to trust anyone as he does not want to experience another betrayal.
Fatal Flaw
Distrust
Alec himself stays loyal to whatever he supports, but he lacks to faith to trust others to do the same. He also expects nothing from others if he hasn't helped them before. His hamartia is most likely spawned from his experience with his previous girlfriend.

Weapons & Magic Items
Adamant
Alec uses Ametάtreptos, a hand and a half double-edged sword made of Stygian iron. It means adamant or resolute in English, and its Greek name Αμετάτρεπτος is carved on the flat of the dark metal. When he refers to it by name, which isn't often, he uses the English version, Adamant, as it is less of a mouthful. Its Stygian blade absorbs essence of living things to increase its power. One side of its smooth razor sharp blade is thinly edged with pure silver. The sword is three and a half feet at full length. Its sealed form is a simple cross pendant made of Stygian iron and sensibly plated with silver so as not to absorb his essence, hung on a chain around his neck. It appears in full form when he wills it to. Alec refuses to tell where he got his weapon from, however, though it is assumed that he found it somewhere in the underworld.
My Precious
He owns a ring that dangles across the sealed form of his sword. As a son of Hades, he can tell that it is made of platinum. The ring was a gift from his sister who had insisted he kept it as it would save his life someday. Of course, he was skeptical about it, but as it wasn't complexly designed, he kept it. It replaces the cross on the chain when Ametάtreptos is in use. Alec usually hides the chain from plain view, especially in the mortal world.
Custom Made Sports Car
Alec has this night blue custom made sports car with a concealed sunroof that acts as an alternate escape route. In the dark, with the headlights off, it is close to invisible. It is celestial bronze plated with fortified bulletproof windows, run flat tyres, and seats that explode or release fifty thousand volts depending on whether the car doors are forced open or if too much pressure is placed on the vehicle's structure.
For safety measure, it is also equipped with a light defense system of poison spike throwers, propelled incendiary bombs, acid emitters, and a few other tweaks - in case of supernatural pursuit. Jars of Greek fire are stashed in the back, of course, along with two spare license plates, all just for emergencies. But well all the same, its one car you shouldn't attempt to bomb or steal or touch in general. Actually, to keep yourself safely in one piece, stay five feet away from it at all times.
Summer: uh before you ask what the hell is wrong with Alec that he owns such a car, well.. he is kind of unstable. and Conrad having designed it is probably as good a reason as any. what you should be doing is thanking the gods that it can't fly.
Pets
The son of Hades currently has no pets.
Relationships
Natalie Hunter » step-sister
Alec is very close to Natalie. Despite the fact that they do bicker like siblings do all the time, deep down inside he really cares for her. Its an unspoken rule: You mess with Natalie, you mess with Alec. And nobody in their right mind would want to mess with Alec. Of course, he would rather make out with a guy than straight-out say he loves her or anything.
In some ways, he and Natalie are opposites. Alec shows a confident, cockily smug exterior, yet deep inside, he hides much vulnerability and pain of someone who has seen and experienced some things way before he should have. Natalie on the other hand, may seem to be bordering on innocent and delicate, but don’t let that fool you, for that façade neatly covers her real, sadistic agendas and ruthless personality.
.: bio ||
Into the Past
Alec was born in America, but Sara decided to move to back to her hometown in London after half a year to manage the company that she was going to inherit. The adults in his family, in charge of a large business, were focused on working and had no time for him - but to which he was used to anyway. They could simply hire more than enough helpers to watch over him, so there in the UK Alec stayed till he was halfway through elementary school.
However, it was then his powers started surfacing, and Sara, knowing the truth of his bloodline, made the choice to bring Alec back to America, nearer to the gods. It was an advantageous decision as could also supervise the renovation of one of the company’s headquarters there. In New York City, she met Jeremy Hunter, who lived in a similar situation as Sara, which was probably why they got along so well. Both fell in love and married, at the same time having a corporate synergy of their businesses. Jeremy was a French heir of a large company with a daughter a year and a half younger than Alec. After years of solitary childhood, he was delighted with the company. Soon, he forgot that he used to be an only child and treated Natalie like a blood sister. He also learnt the language of French from her.
At the age of nine, he was able to sense things going on in the ground, as well as deaths of people he was close to, physically or mentally. That was how he came to know of his grandparents’ passing away even before his mother got the phone call. At first, he was afraid and confused about it, as nobody would believe him, and when he was right, passed it off as a coincidence rather than believe he had supernatural abilities. But soon, Alec's fear turned into curiosity when he could close his eyes and see into, or more like, sense, the underworld. Soon, his abilities of Geokinesis emerged, and he found that he was able to move earth about, as well as retrieve things long buried underground.
When nothing else seemed to happen, things became almost normal for him, and he had begun to cope with his eccentric abilities. He was doing okay in school, and even got a girlfriend he genuinely cared about. Of course, as a typical demigod, his life took a turn for the worse.
When he was thirteen, he nearly got into a fight when he was walking home. Apparently, he was shade-walking unconsciously and had suddenly appeared out of the shadows. The guy he surprised was about four years older than him and had decided to attack him, probably because he thought Alec was attacking him. Of course, the son of Hades freaked and caused a pile of bricks beside him on the edge of a construction site to collapse on the person. Unfortunately, that guy was a member of some gang that chased him all the way to a dead end along a dingy, abandoned alleyway. He was unaware, as expected, that a section of the wall was marked with a Greek delta symbol, the mark of Daedalus: Δ
Upon touching the wall, is disappeared and he fell through into the labyrinth. The entrance sealed up behind him. He took five paces, then stopped as the ground began to vibrate violently. Good news, Alec had escaped the gang. The bad news was, he now had to escape from the labyrinth. He turned around but couldn’t get out again because the labyrinth had shifted. Taking the chance to find out more of his heritage as he had a gut feeling that all the answers were in there, he trudged on to explore the Labyrinth. It was the wrong decision apparently. He refuses to recount anything beyond this point. When asked about what happened afterward, Alec would simply say that he wandered about the labyrinth and somehow got lucky since he was able to sense the traps, then shut himself off completely.
Nobody could find out what exactly had happened to him in there, but when he finally emerged, it was a week later in the underworld. Alec trudged across the fields of Asphodel near the entrance of Tartarus, finding the way out. He was bruised and scraped all over, with probably a few broken bones, close to losing hope and hanging onto the last shreds of his sanity. Alec had the odd feeling he was somewhere he belonged, yet he was confused about all the souls floating about. It was probably the sight of infinite souls, all wandering about in vast emptiness, on and on and on which shoved him over the edge. He panicked, something he had forced himself not to do in the endless maze, hysterically pushing away the mass of souls to get out of wherever he was. He closed his eyes and desperately tried to keep his cool. He wanted to be out, out of the crowd that existed for the sake of existing, and back somewhere where things seemed to matter.
Suddenly, Alec was at the side of the River Styx, strangely more tired than ever and on the verge of collapsing. He could see Cerberus standing guard at the dark gates, and souls streaming past. He knew where he was, now. After a bit of searching about, heading towards the wrong direction multiple times, and meetings with beings he absolutely did not want to meet, he staggered out of the entrance, in Los Angeles, with a new, deadly trinket around his neck. To his dismay, Alec realised with a jolt that three months had passed since he entered the labyrinth. Well, being the son of Jeremy and Sara did have its perks. His disappearance had already been broadcasted the second day he didn’t return home. All he had to do was make a call to the station and he was taking the next flight back to New York City.
Since he refused to tell where he had went, Alec was grounded by his father for the amount of time he had disappeared. His parents had thought that he was abducted, but he denied it, saying he got lost. Sara was skeptical and even wanted counseling sessions for him, but Jeremy had a lot of things to clear up in the office, and Alec claimed to have recovered from whatever, so the matter went uninvestigated. Things went on as usual, but those who had known him well before the incident would have found something wrong in him. Sure, he may look and act like the same old Alec, but there was something unnerving in his eyes which hinted of things he had experienced; things he himself hadn't wanted to go through; things that were best left unknown. His girlfriend of course, too wanted to know where he had been, but he refused to tell, begging her to stop prodding.
Of course, however, he hadn't entirely recovered from his experience. Being trapped in a dark magical maze without substantial knowledge of the demigod world had its repercussions. The nightmares he had started to get in the Labyrinth now became worse, like poison infiltrating his mind. Voices of all sorts echoed in his dreams, urging him to take their side. He had no idea what they wanted him to do, yet the stuff they spoke of somehow made sense to him. Alec usually woke with a blinding headache, unable to remember exactly what he had been dreaming of. He couldn't concentrate on anything during the day, and it took all his effort to look normal and shove the memories of his ordeal deep down inside him when he was with others so as to prevent the triggering of any recollections.
Then the darker side of Alec’s powers started surfacing; Necromancy. He had no control over it initially. His dreams were filled with bloody battles and fights by the querulous dead long past. Souls of all kinds would attempt to contact and persuade him to help them get revenge. He lost countless hours of sleep every night, and even in the bright day, peace wouldn't come. Some would materialise and plead and beg the whole night, arguing with each other and describing their forsaken situations, clinging onto him as he tried to shake them off. Others would force their memories into his head, striving desperately to convince him. But how was he to help them, when their enemies too, were long dead? Most didn't know they themselves weren't part of the living. Try as he might, Alec couldn't get them to see a shred of sense.
The stress building in him was enough to cause anyone to go mad. He couldn't even focus on his current lessons, much less catch up on what he had missed in the previous months. Alec had nobody to turn to, except for his sister who was coping with problems of her own - though she was always there for him, and he, she. His girlfriend didn't understand a thing. On a particularly bad day, one might look into his haunted eyes, catch that insane vibe and back away immediately, dubbing him as ‘crazy’. It was as if he had aged several years in a matter of weeks, and was no longer that carefree kid he once was.
His step-sister informed him that there was something about him now that darkened the atmosphere of any room, something that could be best described as fear. Then it was as if knowing about the effect made it stronger. Even people around him avoided him wherever he went, crowds in the mall, helpers at home, friends in the neighbourhood; as if they could sense something profoundly wrong with him. His girlfriend left him after a month of his exit from the Labyrinth, claiming in an outburst that she only dated him for status and money, basically. But now he was acting like all weird, and losing all his friends, she didn’t want to go out with him anymore. That was probably what stunned Alec more than anything. Whatever other may think, Alec was not at all a malicious or scheming person. Up till then, he felt people were only spiteful because they were provoked first. So the concept was just so alien to him that he couldn't comprehend how she could possibly have kept it up for months. The incident took a huge chunk out of his trust in people, and shifted the way he viewed their behaviour. It was then his personality took a drastic change; one could call it a turning point. He suddenly understood what it meant to have the powers he did. He knew with a dull certainty of his destiny that came with his powers; he could never be truly at home, or accepted in anywhere.
Perhaps understanding his place in the world allowed him to better cope with it. The turbulent hurricane of stress he had bottled up inside him calmed to an intense river of bitterness and dull acceptance. Alec let all his frustration flow out - altering his mindset, shaping his actions. No more did he want to attend to the whims of the souls in his head, nor did he feel that he had the effort to care about anyone around him. He changed from his outgoing and cheerful personality to someone with a scarily quiet confidence. At the same time, letting go of all the confusing emotions inside him had opened a clear path of dominance over his powers. With his new-found drive, he was finally able to control, contact as well as summon spirits from the underworld at will. The restless spirits would intimidate him no longer. It was his turn to force information from them to satisfy his curiosity: the gods, greek history, half-bloods, monsters, whatever he wished to know about anything. And he wasn't particularly gentle about it either. Alec then decided to tell his step-sister about their heritage. Her response was to smirk smugly, and say they were certainly demigods, before snapping her fingers and setting fire to the piano.
He did have various monster encounters after figuring out his identity, but they were nothing compared to what he had faced in the Labyrinth and he dealt with them with little problem. Slowly, after more experimentation, he felt less bitter towards his powers and lineage, though he could still draw upon his cold, one-minded determination that proved remarkably efficient when it came to getting things done. His fear of the unknown had all but disappeared and he felt that he could cope with anything that came along his way. Even if he was disturbed by the uncomfortable isolation from others, Alec relished the abilities that kept him apart from everyone else. He knew that now he could use them to accomplish things that were previously impossible. Not that he particularly enjoyed his fate however, but if he could only accept it, he felt that he might as well make the best of it.
Nonetheless, a month or two after his drastic personality shift, he realised that his and Natalie's powers were drawing unwanted attention from both the attendants at home and monsters in the outside world. It wasn't easy hiding the aftermaths of fending off mythological creatures that wanted a piece of him. His step-sister suggested going overseas to get away from the watchful eyes of neighbours and adults around them and to perhaps throw the monsters off their scent. Alec wholly convinced their parents of the advantages in sending them to an overseas academy in Italy. His success led the siblings to a new field of freedom to play around with their unique abilities. Knowing both English and French and being in an academy for international students, it wasn't hard for them to communicate in the new country while picking up the native language there. Strangely, they still encountered monster attacks from time to time, though less frequently than back in America.
Around a year later at the start of their summer break however, Sara revealed what she knew about his past. Alec reacted exactly how he would have reacted if he hadn't known it already, revealing nothing of what he had been through. It only rekindled his discontent of his fate; how could she tell him only now? His parents hadn't even noticed the aftereffects of his experience. He and his sister were shipped off to camp within that week. Alec was claimed the morning he set foot in the borders, creating a dark ambiance in camp that lasted throughout the day.

Misc
● He has an absurd curiosity as to how others solve their problems. ● He likes people in general, or at least watching their reactions to unexpected events. ● His natural speech has a slight British accent but he curses with both American and British slang. ● He actually takes that eccentric car of his out for a spin when he feels like it. ● He and his sister share a similar trait. They have a habit of throwing clothes away before they're due. For Alec, its less of keeping with fashion trends, and more of his distaste in tarnished or worn clothing. ● He is often mistaken as a Christian due to his sword in it's pendant form, which resembles a crucifix. However, Alec has long given up on faith.

Physical Appearance
Conrad has dark hair and intense grey-blue eyes. No, not intense like deep, dreamy pools of spring water—intense like stares-unnervingly-straight-though-your-soul. It is as difficult to hold his gaze as it is to look away. He has chiseled, serious features and light skin.
People would describe Conrad as regally handsome, if they can first get over the uncomfortable feeling of being analysed like a piece of lab equipment. Generally impassive, it is almost impossible to decipher his thoughts and emotions behind that mask of polite charm. But, if you manage to get him to smile, a smile that isn't one of those infuriatingly smug smirks, it'll surprisingly lighten your heart. He stands about 5’10 in height.
A first impression of Conrad would be serious. Another would be reticent. A third would be indifferent. He projects a sort of confidence and enigma one can't help but wonder about. Conrad is remarkably astute in his thoughts and attitude. He is also rather unconventional, and would rather make a better, improved set of rules than follow traditional methods just for the sake of tradition. Conrad is not only composed but insightful when completing a task and does not stress easily.
With the ability to both think abstractly and realistically, Conrad is both an idealist and a cynic. It can be a bit of a paradox as while he believes that with enough intelligence, effort and planning, anything is possible, yet at the same time also believes that people are too lazy, short-sighted and self-serving to actually achieve the said results. Conrad himself however, has unusually strong self-discipline, willpower, and the rare ability to formulate astoundingly complex, refined plans that actually work.
As a gifted son of Athena, Conrad is smart. Not just book-smart, but intelligently, ingeniously-smart. Able to predict and calculate every outcome based on facts and evidence, he always chooses the best option available to him, though it may not always be the right choice. It doesn't mean that he factors out things like human behaviour, because the one thing Conrad is all too aware of is that nothing and no plan is a hundred percent foolproof. The only way is to be prepared for any outcome and never jump to conclusions. He simply cares more about how others affect his projects than how his projects may affect others.
It may not seem like it, but Conrad is rather tired of having nothing oppose him, and welcomes any challenge. He does not argue without reason, or pick on someone because he is cleverer than them. In fact, he ignores all, even incorrect, statements by others unless they directly address his own points of view. Conrad cares little about white lies and small talk, has less understanding of social norms such as flirtation, and will go so far as to see many social conventions as downright stupid. He only engages in deep conversation if someone or a topic interests him enough to share his views. He can also be brutally honest at times: if you ever manage to ask for Conrad's opinion, you will get a concentrated, non-watered down and candid version of the truth. It can both help and harm your ego so it's best to consider carefully before asking him anything.
Conrad is actually quite interesting to be with after you get through his aloof, acerbic demeanour—inside, his personality is like an intriguing puzzle to be solved. He has an engaging way of recounting stories, a captivating wit, and a unique view of the world. The only problem is that when others know of his powers, they treat him differently. Some people are afraid of him, and avoid him at all costs. Some dislike him because he's smarter than them. Conrad doesn't act smart, he is smart and it's not a boast. Merely look at him and you’ll notice that he has this unbeatable intelligence in his eyes. Just a few words to him and he’ll be able to change your opinion of him to whatever he wants it to be. And he uses his gift to its fullest extent—heck why not?
On the other hand, even if Conrad had overcome both his ADHD and Dyslexia, few schools would accept him as he has a record of terribly sardonic behaviour. Coupled with a caustic attitude, he has caused five staff resignations, two student withdrawals, traumatised several into counselling and other mishaps counting. Reason is because Conrad feels himself to be surrounded by idiots. He finds the mannerisms of most people a waste of time and has little tolerance for the incompetent. Generally, it takes him five minutes and a sentence to be sure of the type of person he's dealing with. It is not in his nature to assume, though it is in his character to judge a person. His first few impressions of a person are however, unusually accurate. Of course, there are exceptions.
onrad is not used to expressing appreciation for the contributions of others. Neither does he expect it from anyone as he feels that the successful result should be compliment enough. He sees no need for glory nor for helping others. In a way, he is both selfish and prudent at the same time. In a leadership role, Conrad would likely be the natural leader who gets things done without the use of force, but doesn't cater to the emotional aspects of his team. However, he is perfectly content to stay in the background and letting someone else take the reins—so long they do a good job. If they waste his time with inefficiency, however, Conrad will take measures.
But there’s a catch in the seemingly calm exterior. As much as he pretends, Conrad does not trust anybody, anyone at all. From the monsters in Tartarus, the Camp instructors/directors, to the gods in Olympus. He believes that the only person he can rely on is himself as there is always the chance that someone could let you down, or mess things up. Conrad is pretty right on some parts, but sometimes he overdoes it. It has resulted in a complication in him opening up to others. He may be able to portray fake emotions perfectly, too perfectly to be real, in fact, yet he finds it awkward expressing his real feelings, especially those of intimate or sentimental friendship.
Probably because the demigod is so accustomed to having or making his surroundings suit him, he has problems allowing himself to accommodate others. He can be stubborn and taut at times, though his methods are usually correct. Conrad is able to make friends, but the question is whether he makes a friend because he genuinely wants to, or because he thinks they are useful to him. Most who regard him as a friend generally do not receive the sentiment back in return, even if they don't know it. This results in his acquaintances overwhelming his real friends in a ratio of 100:1. Conrad is actually lonely at times, though he doesn't really realise it. Besides, he is used to it anyway.
Likewise, Conrad may be a prodigy, but he isn’t really into the physical side of things. The up side is that he is a very fast learner with a very good memory. The down side is that some things can’t be brought perfectly from theory to life, and instead needs practice and experience—the two things Conrad mostly doesn’t bother to obtain. He can identify exactly what goes wrong in a swordfight, but he certainly isn't the best swordsman in camp. He is okay at dodgeball, only because the demigod version doesn’t require much balance. But needless to say, he absolutely cannot dance.
Dress Style
Conrad is usually seen in the orange camp t-shirt, or in the most sensible attire for the given situation. Nothing too dreary or worn, though, and certainly nothing overly bright. He also unexpectedly has a thing for shoes with laces.

Abilities
◊ Enhanced Mental Capacity Conrad is gifted with extended knowledge and usage of the mind. He is able to think in ways that others can never imagine or understand. He can also remember forgotten events, replicate knowledge, and become almost completely competent and aware of the situations he is in. Hence contributing to his other abilities, for without this particular one, he wouldn’t have them. ◊ Psychokinesis Conrad has the ability of telekinesis, and is able to manipulate objects with his mind. The weight of objects doesn’t matter to this power. Instead, the less substance an object has, the more of his concentration it would require. For example, air takes more concentration to manipulate as compared to a rock. If his focus wavers, his ability is likewise affected. To manipulate inside an object, he would need physical contact with it. So don't worry, he can't wrench your heart out at arm's length. ◊ Telepathy He has the power to mentally receive and transmit information. Getting information however, is absolutely reliant on how much willpower a mind has. Determined people with a strong and focused mind would be able to resist him. Weaker and fickle ones however, will have more difficulty fending him off. His ability works better on mortals than anything immortal, and his is usually privy to a lot of excess thoughts, which makes this one of the more undesirable abilities Conrad has.
Electroreception He is able to locate objects or sense the presence of others around him. His range is limited though, but it inches slowly into a larger radius with practice. Mental Projection/Download Conrad is able to project thoughts into a person’s mind, as well as obtain information the same way. This power is however, also restricted to whether the person allows him into their mind. He can only gain access to a person’s thoughts and memories when given permission. And permission though, can be accidentally given when they communicate with him telepathically. Thought Manipulation He too is able to control the thoughts and through it, actions of people. It works only on mortals and animals, for minds are exceedingly hard to maneuver. Conrad is however, able to induce a belief or suggestion into a person’s mind to cause them to act or think a certain way without them even knowing it.
Talents
Learning
Whether he puts in the effort or not, he can absorb information incredibly efficiently. No, he does not have a photographic memory, but he has devised various methods to proficiently retain information.
Strategy
At defining goals, planning outcomes and co-ordinating strategy, he is the one to approach. Just remember to prepare your consultation fee.
Challenging Systems
Conrad can very accurately identify problems in an issue, structure or system and very methodically dismantle it. Useful if you want to bring down entire organisations. Not so helpful if you simply want to share an idea.
Linguistic Skills
Ancient Greek
His brain is hard-wired for it.
English
He can speak, write, read and understand English at an extremely advanced level.
Other
Over the course of his life, Conrad has taught himself to read, write and converse in several of what he feels are the more useful languages: Arabic, French, German, Korean, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Mandarin, Russian and Spanish. His German is a little rusty, but the others he can pretty much pass for native. Everything else, he just doesn't bother.
.: flaws ||
Limitations
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
He's gotten it under control somehow. Don't ask me how, you should know better than to doubt this kid.
Frankness
He doesn't sugarcoat anything unless he has a reason to, which leads to him inadvertently hurting the feelings of others.
Intolerance
Conrad has little patience for the inefficient, incompetent and lazy. It has affected his relationships with people as he tends to seem condescending, rude and demanding when he's really just annoyed. Thank the gods he doesn't talk much to many people or we'd have psychological counsellors all over the country working overtime.
Lack of emotion
It's not that he doesn't feel, it's that he has trouble expressing his emotions. Naturally impassive, Conrad shows few outward displays of emotion be it anger, affection, excitement, grief or sentiment. The only thing that seems to leak through at times is his smug satisfaction and if you're lucky to spot it, concern.
Fears
Gephyrophobia
He has a mild fear of bridges as he does not trust structures not directly designed by himself, especially something like a bridge that's probably miles above a rushing river and craggy rocks. Of course, with his ability of telekinesis he's one of the least likely to fall to his death, but nothing is a hundred percent unavoidable.
Pistanthrophobia
If he were being honest with himself, he fears trusting people. But Conrad subconsciously believes he has no such fear, and instead thinks it's his choice, and a rational one at that, to not put his faith in anyone but himself. He does not fear betrayal, but rather his plans falling apart.
Fatal Flaw
Hubris
Conrad is very aware of his fatal flaw—but that doesn't make it any easier to handle when his personality basically revolves around having confidence in his abilities and absolutely none in anyone else's. Therefore, he chooses the acceptance approach as heck, it's true anyway.

Poison wasn't something he could cure. What was he to do? Draw all her blood out? Conrad considered it for the barest of moments because discarding that particularly morbid thought. He wasn't a surgeon and would probably cause more damage than he could heal.
But the shock was yet to come. Her eyes fixed unwaveringly on his and the truth came out.
"I know what you are." Her voice held no accusation but it struck through his soul.
Conrad froze. Dozens of explanations ran through his mind. Could she see through the mist? Was it possible? After all, getting stabbed like that... No. It wouldn't explain how she knew that he was a demigod. He forced the thoughts out and focused on her again as she continued.
"I know... because my sister is one too. Please, find her. Help her. Because, because I can't." There were no tears, but her eyes told. She gestured at the claw marks on his shoulder, and then the ruins of the room. "I'm so sorry."

.: traits ||
Physical Appearance
Crystal has waist-long pale blonde hair with no off-coloured streaks. Instead, it seems to darken indoors and flash white in the sunlight. Her eyes are a pretty, hypnotizing grey. Her skin is considered tanned in comparison to her siblings, but she is quite a bit fairer than the other campers. This is likely due to her lineage, yet complete love for sports. Probably 5'7 in height. Crystal paints her nails sometimes, but never in solid colours.
Crystal is as cold inside as she is on the outside. At first glance, she exhibits an intimidating sort of charisma that people can't help but get drawn to. Many are not too definite or accurate of their first impression of her, and typically change their feelings towards her after a conversation or two. One thing is certain though—Crystal is very sure of herself.
Inwardly, she doubts her instincts or gut feelings and tends to cover it up by changing tact and temperament in the blink of an eye. Because of this, Crystal can be seen as rather bipolar. Once she is angered however, behold. And prepare the thawing chamber. Crystal is known to give such sharp glares that she has literally frozen campers on the spot on multiple occasions. She has yet to achieve complete control over her powers, so random icicles or mounds of snow and blizzards do appear on occasion. But no worries, she has only ever buried a few cabins. Twice.
However bipolar she may seem, one can always rely on Crystal to keep a calm head when it really does matter. In alarming or dangerous situations, she can be counted on to make fast, decisive and sensible choices. She has the ability to remain resolute in her decisions even in conflict and under doubt. Crystal has an unwavering and admirably purposeful attitude when dealing with situations under her control. If she is involved and it is not under her control, don't worry—it will be soon. This urge to lead is a built-in aspect of her character and one must admit, she is a natural at it. Crystal, like few others, was born with the gift of charisma and confidence, and projects authority in a way that automatically entices people to follow her. The only issue is that she can be terribly caustic in her speech and insensitive towards others—most of the time being valued but not particularly liked.
Crystal can also be described as having a ruthless level of rationality. She is strictly no-nonsense and down-to-earth. Questions like 'Oh, you're reading a book?' and small talk that serves for no particular purpose nor conversation starter will definitely be ignored. She appreciates candid opinions, and would rather someone tell her straight if they want something, than beat around the mulberry, strawberry, blueberry bush. Braggers with no talent to back their words up will not make a good impression. Hypocrites are well advised to stay away from Crystal. One snap of her fingers can glue a person's lips together in frost for days. Which means, no eating, no drinking and, yeah, definitely no talking.
Once she has made a decision, she will follow it through. Getting cold feet at the last moment is a big no-no. In battle, she is the type to attack first, talk later. Crystal has no mercy on her opponents and can sometimes go overboard with the lack of sympathy to those not on her team. She works better in teams or duos than by herself as her impulsive nature gets in the way. Crystal is extremely dynamic and competitive when engaging in sports or combat activities—especially in capture the flag, where she is considered one of the strongest team players.
Overall, Crystal is a very capricious character, prone to sudden mood swings. She can be a good friend in fair weather and a better friend during a storm. Both emotionally and physically strong, many opportunities await her in the demigod world. However, Crystal has to work on her attitude and temperament towards those who need tolerance, as she has a habit of calling out others with a chilling degree of insensitivity. Otherwise she'll find it hard to find to keep many of her team members—and friends.
Dress Style
Crystal dresses like a regular teenager. Nothing too fancy, and nothing too geeky. Usually, when going about her schedule, she's seen in camp t-shirt. But at night, going out or during leisure periods, Crystal dons a lightweight top and shorts. Jackets aregenerally only worn to match the rest of her attire as she doesn't actually need them to keep warm. She always wears Caelestis in the form of a sleek, crystal-clear bracelet. Crystal is surprisingly lazy about footwear, and more often than not runs around camp doing errands barefoot.
Dwelling on the past Flattery Hypocrites Indecisiveness Inefficiency Incompetency Irresponsibility Lack of control Whining Wimps
.: flairs ||
Abilities
◊ Cryokinesis Crystal can create, shape and manipulate all forms of natural ice and snow for various effects and combinations. Examples include hail, ice pellets, snow grains, icicles and frost.
Ice Generation She can generate ice from any part of her body so long there is water in the surroundings. Her endurance for this ability increases with practice, and if she goes without practice, it will drop back down. Shattering Crystal can reduce the temperature of objects or otherwise to the point that it shatters. She can also imbue some of her energy into it, resulting in the object staying cold for a short period of time. Limited Thermal Manipulation She is able to manipulate the temperature of her surroundings as well as her body, only decreasingly though. This power she is most familiar with. Cold Immunity She has immunity to extreme cold—including illnesses/injuries such as hypothermia and frostbite.
Talents
Singing
Crystal has a lovely singing voice, but she isn't aware and probably will never be as she has always shown more interest in sports than music.
Swordsmanship
She is a quick learner in terms of sword-fighting and remarkably talented with the blade. It also helps that she pushes herself relentlessly in this field, seeking improvement and never accepting defeat.
Sports
From soccer to dodgeball, Crystal has shown aptitude for all kinds of dynamic sports. Her impressive playing can rival many girls and most guys, in fact. Having a natural athletic ability contributes a great deal to this talent. Tennis, however, is ultimately her favourite sport.
Linguistic Skills
Ancient Greek
Crystal's brain is hard-wired for this language.
English
She can speak, write, read and understand most aspects of American English.
.: flaws ||
Limitations
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
Like most demigods, she is diagnosed with ADHD.
Dyslexia
Crystal also has Dyslexia, however, she is very determined to overcome this barrier and is currently improving by leaps and bounds.
Insensitivity
Overly task-driven, Crystal is insensitive and impatient towards those who do not grasp things as quickly as she does.
Aggressiveness
She tends to deal with problems in a belligerent manner, especially things that challenge her intellect or skills.
Self-doubt
Crystal rarely experiences self-doubt, but when she does, it is usually a very stressful thing. It results in her feeling shaken, unconsciously lonely and forcefully detached from others. It can cause her to lapse into —unexpectedly— depression.
Fears
Kakorrhaphiophobia
Accustomed to victory for most of her life, Crystal fears losing repeatedly to others at things she knows she's better at.
Astrophobia
She has a fear of space, or rather, vacuum. The idea of nothing existing in a vast nothingness is so weird and unnerving that she would rather not think about it.
Fatal Flaw
Over Confidence
As talented as she is, Crystal can sometimes be over-confident in her abilities. This may lead to her underestimating opposition and making mistakes. Furthermore, when she blunders, her first instinct is not to reflect, but to criticise herself harshly, which can lead to adverse effects on her psyche if it happens on a regular basis.

Weapons & Magic Items
Iόs
An dagger made entirely from ice from part of the sacred caves of Khione. The letters ι ό ς are carved into the edge of the hilt. The tip of Iόs (pronounced ee-osh), meaning virus, is laced with deadly poison that varies in concentration. Crystal refrains from using it unless as a last resort, for it usually brings instant death if one is unlucky enough to be on the receiving side. Iόs does not melt, but its poison wears off after each use and it turns into a regular dagger. It will slowly replenish itself over the course of time, usually a few days to weeks. The longer it sits dormant, the stronger the poison gets. The only way to dilute it is to dip the dagger in water—which would transfer the poison into the water instead—but Crystal usually forgets.
Caelestis
She also has a bracelet that can take the form of a long, slender sword. It resembles a sleek, flowing, thin chain and is clear as glass—crafted magically out of ice. The blade is thin and the colour of timberwolf. Given as a gift, Crystal has had no say in naming it. Caelestis is latin and directly translates to Celeste, which means 'of the sky' or 'heavenly'. Crystal however, calls it Ciel, if she doesn't dub it in latin, instead, as she prefers simply Sky to Heaven. Caelestis freezes the opponent's weapon if it comes into contact with the sword for too long. This is her main weapon.
If the bracelet is worn by anyone other than a child of Khione, the ice will attach itself onto the person's wrist and slowly start to spread, gradually enveloping and suffocating them—if they don't freeze to death first. The curse can only be removed with appropriate Cryokinesis. It can however, be lent to others in it's sword form—the only side effect being a slight, burning cold.
Pets
Crystal owns a cross breed of a fox and a wolf. She has named it Rior, Rio for short. They share a close bond.
Relationships
Seth Eliton Bond » close friend
Crystal is good friends with Seth despite their constant bickerings and her initial dislike for him. It has evolved into a sort of love-hate relationship as she has since grown to respect him not only for his silver tongue, but also for his easy-going and scintillating personality. They are often mistaken for a couple to those who do not know their relationship well, but Crystal is all too quick to correct them—and Seth would do the same. As close as they are, they know each other too well to even consider dating. In fact, they might warn others against the danger of going out with the other—jokingly, of course.
.: bio ||
Into the Past
Crystal had quite a normal childhood and pre-teen years (except for the troublesome demigod stuff that is). Her father married when she was two years old, to her step-mother, Grace Lewiston. Her step-mother treated Crystal okay, but it was obvious that she favoured her son more than her step-daughter. Crystal was perfectly all right with that at the start as she didn't talk to her step-mother much anyway. Her father liked both his children equally, but was closer to Crystal.
Warren is a year older than Crystal and the son of her step-mother. They're like best friends and close companions. As her sibling, Warren dotes on her a lot. The two do all sorts of activities together and he is always there for her when she needs, vice versa.
When she turned eleven, Crystal discovered her powers. The realisation came during a family vacation to the Ice Hotel in Sweden. Strictly speaking, it was actually an accident—Crystal would've died if it wasn't for her powers. She fell into a half-frozen lake, and when retrieved, suffered serious hypothermia and assumed frostbite. She was put in the ICU for five days where she surprisingly recovered. Her family and friends thought she wouldn't make it.
After Crystal made a full recovery—considered a true miracle by the doctors—, she began to notice changes. She was comfortable without jackets and was suddenly able to withstand immensely cold temperatures during winter. She developed an irritation with warm, stuffy rooms. At home, if she was in a bad mood, the room temperature would drop dangerously, or be refreshingly cool if she was delighted, even in the summer. Crystal realised she could move mounds of snow on the sidewalk and had fun sliding ice off the roof. She found that could make ice from the water in the air, and started to create figures. They were crude, badly-shaped blobs of ice at first, but her skills improved with practice. Soon, she could craft tiny keychains with the precision of an artist. Warren found out about her powers after an accidental encounter, but kept them a secret at her request.
As her powers became more obvious, her step-mother noticed it and became very suspicious. At that point in time, her relationship with Crystal was also rather rocky. Grace had always been indifferent towards her step-daughter, and tolerated Crystal's presence only because of her husband. But as Jeremy's overseas trips became more and more frequent, the difference in how Grace treated both siblings consequently became more and more prominent. She disliked the weirdness that had taken Crystal and tried to find out more.
Grace's constant prying became the root of Crystal's problems, and as a teenager, she developed a highly sarcastic attitude when dealing with her step-mother, who Crystal found was not only unreasonable but inefficient as well. One day, Grace walked in on Crystal manipulating ice, and that was it. She freaked out, saying that Crystal was an oddity and should not be in the family. Crystal snapped and responded that she was the one who had to marry in. This started an openly antagonistic relationship that was hidden only when Jeremy was around. Grace finally tried to send her away by telling Jeremy of Crystal's powers. But Warren was on her side. He insisted that it was Grace's imagination. As Crystal did not show her powers or otherwise exhibited anything unusual, her father did not believe his wife. The ill-feelings continued. Warren mostly stayed out of it, in his room studying for his exams.
Crystal's life then took a turn for the worse when her father, coming back from a business trip, disappeared. In fact, the entire flight he was on, crew and passengers, all disappeared as the plane flew over the pacific. Although there were investigations, nothing of the flight was to be found till this day. Her step-mother took it badly. Grace started getting more and more argumentative, even threatening to send Crystal to the orphanage. Finally, she pushed Crystal to the edge and the daughter of Khione, flaring up immediately, let loose an accidental blizzard outside. It destroyed half the buildings in the area, part of their house and nearly killed Warren, who was trying to stop the fight.
When Crystal escaped the debris, she looked at her home in dismay. The front porch was entirely buried in snow. Half the living room had been knocked in and furniture could be seen from the outside—all covered in ice splinters. The blizzard —in autumn— was considered a phenomenal occurrence, supposed to have been brought about by rapid climate change. But Crystal knew that however thoroughly the meteorologists or scientists tried to analyse, they would never know the truth.
She panicked, running away from home and into the familiar forest nearby. Crystal had spent her childhood roaming the woods, so she hid there for 3 days before a satyr found her. He recognized her as a demigod and explained to her about the other world. She was highly sceptical at first, but after bringing her to camp half-blood, Crystal was finally convinced. Chiron did the more detailed accounting, even manipulating the mist so Grace was convinced of the accidental blizzard. Crystal vowed never to return home while her step-mother still lived there, so she sent a letter to Warren. In the letter, she apologised and explained the situation after she accepted the offer to stay in camp. Crystal still meets up with her step-brother occasionally, where they would each keep each other up to date on their respective lives. But however many times Warren said he had forgiven her, and it was not her fault that she could not control her powers, Crystal still inwardly blamed the accident on herself.

Physical Appearance
Natalie has an sweet but regal appearance, with striking grey-blue eyes and brown hair that glows faintly with natural bronze highlights. Sharp but charming features give her the acute look of a French. Natalie has a petite figure and is about 5’4 in height, weighing a mere 42kg. Brought up with a high-class background, her posture can be perfect when she wants to.
She cares a lot about her appearance in public and can routinely be seen wearing not just the latest trends, but those of designer-make. Unexpectedly, she has little habit of putting on make-up. At times in the moonlight, with her perfect locks and apparently guileless eyes, Natalie could mirror a doll in appearance. Pretty? Creepy more like.
Natalie does have a rather spiteful nature, though one wouldn’t expect it from her sweet exterior. Beneath the gentle facade is a bored, irate heiress with a tendency for violence. Natalie can be pretty nice to be with, when she's nice to be with. Otherwise, she's an absolute pain.
She may put up a show of obeying her superiors, but the only person who can actually control her is her brother. Natalie doesn’t do anything without considering the advantages, unless its for her entertainment. Everything aside, she makes most of her decisions on the spot according to her mood. Her directness is valued at times, but sometimes it makes situations awkward for others—not that she actually cares. But she can also be sly with words, often saying things with hidden meanings.
Natalie cares a great deal about her figure, though she really doesn't have to. She cannot imagine how American people eat everywhere at all times of the day. Natalie finds the mere thought of eating on the road while waiting for someone absolutely distasteful. Being brought up French, she has been impressed upon on the importance of eating at the table, and no doubt with proper dining etiquette.
Natalie also has a quick temper and can flare up easily. Her tantrums are destructive and dangerous. She can easily set fire to an entire field without a thought of others’ safety. For her, her own personal needs come first. One can pretty much call her an obnoxious brat who never seems to be satisfied. Natalie thinks that she’s above others due to her financial status and upbringing. She doesn't easily feel sympathy for others, if she thinks of them at all. Being brought up in a rich family has caused her to segregate the needs of others and herself and therefore Natalie has an obvious air of self-centeredness. Yet don’t underestimate her for a bratty airhead with no substance or brains to fill a teacup. That may be what she looks like, but behind the vain exterior is an artful and cunning cat lying in wait for the right opportunity to pounce.
Natalie cares not about how she spends her money—buying things without so much as thinking about the price. Her purchases are can also be exceedingly extravagant. Therefore, what Natalie wanted, what Natalie got. She will stop at nothing to get what she desires. Usually, she just wants entertainment, something to waste her time. Having everything she wished for gets rather boring sometimes, and she deals with boredom in a very different way. Just take this advice, do not ever get mixed up with her games and her opinion of fun. Its pretty much like how a cat toys with its food before killing it, but with fire involved.
Pray you never get to experience the serious side of Natalie. She is a revenge sort of person, and if she decides to get revenge, really, there’s almost no stopping her. Her methods can range from spiking your breakfast drink to ‘accidentally’ dropping a black widow on your bunk. If you owe her something, Natalie is the kind of person who would make you pay her back with something worth more to you than her. A tooth for an eye. Natalie doesn’t really need anything you can offer; she just wants what matters more to you. Give till it hurts, and then a little more. Yes, this sweet girl takes pleasure in your discomfort.
Regarding responsibility, if Natalie promises something, she will carry it out. As part of a team, she goes with the flow, unless it makes her uncomfortable, which she would then protest immediately. Natalie isn't lazy, as one might expect, only used to having things done for her. She understands that rules are there for a reason and believes that one should work for reward—though if you were born lucky, well, good for you. Mostly though, Natalie does what she has to for her own benefit, and leaves everything else alone.
Dress Style
Natalie wears the camp t-shirt and shorts for activities, but once outside the usual camp regime, her attire varies like that of Aphrodite. The daughter of Hecate can be seen donning not just the latest trends, but that of designer-make. She never settles for anything less than perfect, and all her clothing is of high quality. Natalie has a selection of accessories as well and is never seen wearing the same set of garments twice. Curiously, she doesn't have as many pieces of apparel in her possession as one would expect. But the mystery is easily solved just by asking. Natalie throws or gives away things she loses interest in, and simply buys new ones.
Likes
Fire, 火, Feu, Brisingr, Ignis, φωτιά. Lemon-grass Glass beads New things Watching others squirm White Cats—strangely the only animals she would not set on fire for entertainment
Dislikes

Abilities
◊ Magic Ah well, magic in general y’know. It requires no explanation. But here are her specialities.
◊ Elemental Manipulation Natalie is an Elementalist, able to use magic to manipulate the natural elements around her to a certain extent. This is one of the stronger sides of her magic manipulation.
Anemokinesis She is able to control the air around her just by imagining its path. However, this is the element she finds the hardest to control. She seems to have no affinity at all with this. Pyrokinesis Natalie is able to create sparks with magic to start a fire. Her command over the flames itself is improving, though mood swings can drastically affect her control. She finds that rage helps her control it better, and it's easy to come by, as she can find a lot of things to get annoyed at. In a lot of ways, Natalie is like fire: straight-forward, unmerciful and temperamental. Fire, likes to toy with you. Undoubtedly, it is her favourite element. Geokinesis She feels the most at home with earth, for its sturdy, blunt and strong. Natalie can shape or move the earth however she wants. Her range however, doesn't reach very far without practice. Hydrokinesis Natalie can summon, convert and control water in its basic forms. She still has to get the knack of its manipulation, as she is not very patient.
◊ Necromancy Natalie has the power to utilize magic involving the dead or life-force of souls.
Summoning She can summon forth ghosts of the dead. But convince them though she tries, she is currently unable to authoritatively command them to her will, which makes the power only energy-draining and therefore essentially useless. Undead Manipulation Natalie can, however, control undead beings without a soul.
Illusion Casting With concentration, Natalie is able to reach into another being’s mind with magic and cause them to experience illusions. It is not really tangible, but her victims are able to feel, hear, see and smell anything she wants them too. Or at least, they think they do. In reality, there's nothing there. Illusions can last up to a maximum of seven seconds, before Natalie having to construct them again. It is a very complicated and taxing job to create and maintain illusions since Natalie herself has to imagine every single detail on order to inflict an illusion. She prefers to stick to one sense and work from there, like causing someone to feel unusually elated, ticklish, or unimaginable pain. When she is using this ability though, it renders her almost unable to do anything else that requires much thinking. Some may call it manipulation of the Mist as they both work through a person, but Natalie knows it's both more and less than that. She can reach into the deepest crevices of a person's mind and plant false sensations there, but she cannot automatically morph an object's appearance. Other Being a daughter or Hecate, Natalie also has a wide knowledge of herbs and poisonous plants. She wastes no opportunity to use them in various ways. She has mild command over dracanae, who are servants of Hecate.
Talents
Throwing Cards
Spending her childhood mostly at home in boredom with many domestic helpers, Natalie has spent many an afternoon tossing cards one by one down balconies and stairways and across rooms, watching a poor servant pick them up for her. After a consistent amount of accumulated throwing practice, she has unexpectedly found herself quite good at it. With an agile hand, the daughter of Hecate can accurately hit anything across an area with the hard edge of a playing card, and has even chipped parts of the paint off the wall at one point.
Performing Arts
Natalie has had the opportunity to dabble in music and seems to be quite talented in this art form. She has had lessons on these instruments to at least a moderate degree of competence—the violin, piano, flute, harmonica and strangely, the harp. Among these, she is exceptional with the piano.
Piano
Though one may not expect it, Natalie is an accomplished pianist, having already reached the maximum ABRSM grade for that particular instrument at the age of eleven. She enjoys playing the piano much more than the other instruments that she has studied.
Writing Music
Having learnt several instruments to an advanced stage when she was younger, Natalie has had quite a bit of exposure to this activity—and surprisingly, she has found that she is really good at it.
Linguistic Skills
Ancient Greek
Natalie's brain is hard-wired for this language.
English
She can speak, write, read and understand most aspects of American English. Whatever's not affected by Dyslexia, that is.
French
Born in France, it is her arterial language.
Italian
Having lived in Italy for only a year, her knowledge of this language is not at the level of a native speaker and she certainly wouldn't be able to write advanced essays in it, but for the conversational level, she is able to speak it fluently.
Latin
Like all Greek demigods, she instinctively understands a few words and phrases in Latin, but is unable to converse or form full sentences with it.
.: flaws ||
Limitations
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
Like most demigods, she is diagnosed with ADHD.
Dyslexia
She is likewise diagnosed with the typical reading disability of demigods. It affects her around eight out of a scale of ten.
Psychic Ineffectiveness
Some of her psychic abilities like Illusion Casting may be ineffective on those who are able to shut her out of their mind. It also lessens the effect if her victim realises and has the willpower to ignore the illusions.
Sensitivity to Alcohol
Any form of alcohol that enters her bloodstream forms a direct blockage to her powers until it wears off.
Weak Magic
Natalie’s abilities are limited if she does not reinforce her spells with the appropriate words in Ancient Greek. For example, in order for her to maintain a flame going unnaturally, she has to think, say, or otherwise assert in any form the word καύμα, which is burn in Greek.
Fears
Dentophobia
Ever since her first visit, Natalie has had a slight fear of dentists and strives to avoid the yearly check-ups. Luckily, this fear has made Natalie take perfect care of her teeth and therefore she ends up not needing the dentist anyway.
Parturiphobia
Natalie has an odd aversion to pregnancy and pain, unable to imagine how a body could change so much in such a short time, and fearing the damage childbirth can bring to any person.
Fatal Flaw
Revenge
In a nutshell, one can say that Natalie is 'an eye for an eye' type of person. Except that she doesn't just want something of equal value to whatever she's lost. She wants something that is of even more value to the other person, and she will stop at nothing until she reaches her goal. Dig two graves? Sure. But she'll be certain to dig yours so deep that it reaches the very pits of Tartarus. Nobody knows exactly the severity of her flaw, but rest assured, or not, that Natalie will get her revenge even if its the last thing she'll ever do.

Weapons & Magic Items
Cards
Natalie keeps a deck of playing cards handy wherever she goes. Having attained an unusual skill of tossing playing cards accurately, she has imbued each card in the deck with a different ability. Some explode, some burst into flames, some expand into a net, some form a barrier. Thing is, Natalie has never cared much about organizing them and has gotten the shielding and exploding cards mixed up.
Celestial Bronze Blades
She keeps three knives of celestial bronze for close-up fighting. They are stowed in her boots, and at her waist respectively whenever possible. Natalie, of course, does not accept anything other than exceptional and therefore has had the knives' grip specially modified to fit her own hands.
Pets
The daughter of Hecate currently has no pets.
Relationships
Alexander Hunter » step-brother
Natalie is very close to her brother, and he may very well be the only person who can control her. They will be there for each other even when things get hard and although they do argue a lot and certainly much more violently than typical siblings, deep down they share an unusually strong bond of siblinghood.
In some ways though, she and Alec are opposites. Natalie may seem to be bordering on innocent and delicate, but don’t let that fool you, for that façade neatly covers her real, sadistic agendas and ruthless personality. Alec on the other hand, shows a confident, cockily smug exterior, yet deep inside, he hides much vulnerability and pain of someone who has seen and experienced some things way before he should have.
.: bio ||
Into the Past
Natalie was born in France. Her father was a wealthy heir of a company, and loved her a great deal. He doted on her and gave her anything. Needless to say, she got everything she wanted. Her first pet ever, a white baby tabby, Chanel. Triple decker bed. Swimming pool. Everything except a sibling.. yet. Either way, her wish got granted in the end when her father married Sara Fox. She had an older brother then, Alec, at the age of six.
A year or two later, Natalie figured out her magical abilities. She was able to manipulate objects around her to her will, transform plants into cement, or change the colour of a wall. It was mostly weak and not very helpful magic in terms of evading attacks and such. She was warned by her brother to keep a low profile on them, but their parents didn’t find out anyway, being too busy at work. Their helpers around the house soon got too afraid of the siblings to speak a word against them so they just let them be.
It was probably because when Natalie turned nine, she witnessed an event that changed her. That day, taking a walk in the garden, she heard excited voices behind the high wall of shrubbery that separated their mansion from the semi-detached beside it. She paid it no heed until a familiar panicked yowl cut through the evening air. Natalie unmistakably recongnised it to be Chanel’s. Immediately, she climbed the wall, using her magic to help her. Peering over it, she saw some boys about three years older than her. One was her neighbour who lived in that house; the other two were his friends. Beside them was an open fire they most likely built themselves for fun. And they were poking the poor cat with a burning stick.
Stunned and unable to look away, she watched helplessly as the teenagers bullied and abused the kitten. Natalie sat there for ten minutes, shocked tears running down her cheeks, as she watched the taunting and jeering go on below. She hated that feeling of haplessness, so badly wanting to scoop up her beloved cat into her arms but knowing if she went down, she might get badly injured or worse, burned before they recongnised her or before anyone could come and help. And her parents had forbidden her from having close contact with anybody lower in 'financial status' to them, especially their neighbours. After they boys were called back into the house for dinner, Natalie climbed over and tentatively approached the tiny figure that was moving feebly.
Chanel couldn't manage so much as a squeak. There was blood smeared on the sidewalk and on its paws. Parts of its fur were charred beyond recognition, one eye was swollen shut and the other... The daughter of Hecate didn’t even want to think about it. The memory would forever be burned into the back of her mind. Its tail was still on fire, paws scraped and bloody. Natalie blamed herself for not leaving the collar on Chanel. And even more so, blamed herself for not going down to help her. Now, she could only watch as its attempts to get back onto its paws grew weaker and weaker. She couldn’t even stroke it, for every touch caused it pain. There was no denying it, Chanel was dying and there was nothing she could do. Healing was not one of the powers she was blessed with. And the alternative... Natalie knew it was the best course of action, but however she might, she couldn't. She had to hide and run back after the boys came back from their meal.
However, later on as she hid under the blankets in her room, she realised that the fire on Chanel had suddenly extinguished as she neared. Or more specifically, when she wanted it to stop. Over the next few days, Natalie withdrew within herself. She did not sink into depression, but no one knew what was going on with her either. Natalie ignored everything and talked only when she was asked a question. She did not go back to bury Chanel, and had no idea what happened to the cat. However, Natalie never did forget the three kids. Their malevolent faces were burned, metaphorically, into her mind. A fortnight later, she saw them again by the sidewalk with another unfortunate victim, this time, a puppy. A wave of cold hatred washed over Natalie. She blatantly walked over to them, realising what she was about to do just a split second before she did. It was as if her magic had been set on automatic and calibrated to her emotions. As the three boys turned to look at the small, petite figure a few yards from them, an inferno of flames swirled around them. They were buffeted by the heat and their clothes and hair caught fire at once. Natalie watched as they panicked, yelped in pain and ineffectually attempted to swat the flames away. Of course, it was no use, so they fled, suddenly terribly afraid of the once harmless girl next-door, and wailing with already with severe burns.
Natalie had looked at the puppy with an unfathomable gaze. It looked back at her with equal curiosity, scratched and mildly bleeding from numerous cuts. Its leg stuck out at an awkward angle. The daughter of Hecate blinked at it, staring it for a moment, before walking back to the mansion. Leaving the helpless puppy squirming soundlessly on the path, reduced to a writhing ball of flames. Natalie hadn’t really cared about the boy’s latest victim—Chanel had been through worse, after all, and the puppy wouldn't survive very well in the wild with a broken leg. Humans were cruel, she realised—it was a built-in trait of humanity. They were all born to be evil and destructive and vile. Hurting for their own pleasure, obliterating for their own comfort, killing for their own convenience. For all the compassion and kindness in the world, those who cared about others typically got off the worse end emotionally. Caring gives others an opening to exploit. Therefore, the only way to deal with life is to cease caring. Only then, nothing would have a hold over you.
Natalie related the incident to nobody but her brother. It had unlocked another side of her. It was as if you took all the optimism and trust in the good of people out of Natalie, and now all that's left is a burning resentment towards everything and everyone in the world. Her parents were to busy to notice the change in her, and the domestic helpers who did were too scared to say anything. Those who did were dealt with by Alec, and sent away the very night. A few years and another country later [refer to Alexander Hunter's biography], her parents revealed what they knew of her heritage. She and her brother were sent to camp half-blood via arrangement with Chiron. Natalie was claimed two days after her brother.

Misc
• Natalie and her brother have curiously opposite traits. She is right handed, while he is left. She is impulsive and quick tempered, sometimes losing patience when she gets frustrated, mostly causing destruction of things around her in a tantrum. Alec, on the other hand, is patient, calculating, and calm—but he is in actuality, more unstable than his sister. • Natalie gets predictable after a while, unlike her brother, but it does nothing to lessen her viciousness. • Describing her would be simple: sadistic. Really, there is no other word for it.
