Living On Our Own (Kenzie){Later In Life}

"Who's a good baby? You are!" Christian said jumping Asher up and down. Christian was now living with Charity and they got married a couple years of ago. Then they had a kid. Christian had never felt happier ever since they got married. Then Asher started gurgling and making small baby noises. "Playtime's over bud. You have to eat your lunch." Christian said and walked to the kitchen. He took the bowl filled with baby food and brought it over to Asher. Asher looked from the food to Christian with a blank look. Asher took a small turn around and continued playing. "I give up." Christian said. He took the bowl of baby food to the counter and dropped it on the counter. He walked to the sink and started washing his hands because just moments ago he changed a number 2 diaper.

Charity was in the upstairs bathroom. Her black hair was pulled in a tight ponytail. Three pregnancy tests sat in the sink. All she could think was, I'm fricken pregnant again... Her pink tank top was tied at mid stomach. She had stone-washed shorts on with Cococat slippers. Her engagement and wedding rings were slid tightly onto her pale fingers. And, she'd become paler from the last pregnancy test. It was time to go tell Christian. They were having another baby. Asher was so cute. But, she didn't know if she could handle another child. Her feet trailed out of the bathroom, down the wooden stairs toward the living room. She could hear Asher giggling and that put a smiled on her face. "Chris?" She walked into the modern living room to find Christian playing with Asher. "I have something really important to tell you. Don't freak out." She smiled and picked up her baby boy. Asher made baby noises and tugged on her hair.

Christian finished washing his hands and walked over to Asher. He sat down on the floor next to Asher and started playing with him again. Asher was just so adorable. It was just that Christian was never able to get a full 9 hours of sleep before he started crying. Then Charity started coming down the stairs. He grinned and stood up. "I can't get him to eat his lunch." Christian said wiping his hands. He had a confused look on his face when she told him not to freak out. "Um... Why don't you want me to freak out?" He asked.

Charity bit her lip, looking at Christian. "Because..." She wanted to chicken out so bad. Asher giggled and cooed in her ear, poking her cheek. She looked down at Asher and smiled. "I'm pregnant." She looked Christian in the eyes. "Again." Charity walked over to the black couch and set Asher down on it. He immediatly curled up in a ball, clenching his toes and and yawning. Charity hugged Christian. "I didn't know till literally minutes ago."

Christian raised his eyebrows. Since she said because, so many thoughts were running through his head. Is she breaking up with me? Is she going on business trip? Is she putting Asher up for adoption? Are they moving back to Camp? There was so many thoughts that were circling around his head. Then when the words finally came out he grinned. "Why are you worried? This is good news!" He said and hugged Charity. "Hey, why don't we go out for a dinner. My treat. Asher do you want to go out to eat?" He asked looking at Asher. Asher smiled and then started giggling.

Charity smiled. "Well, I didn't know if you wanted another baby or not! How was I supposed to know?" She laughed and hugged him again, giving him a peck on the lips. She ran over to Asher and picked him up. Asher giggled and laughed. Charity spun him around, holding him high in the air. She looked over at Christian and whispered. "I love you, more than you would ever understand." She held Asher normal and kissed Christian.

"Well, why wouldn't I?" He asked Charity. He was so happy with Asher how would a another baby ruin his life? Christian actually wanted another kid. He loved playing with them and hugging them, but the thing he hated the most was changing the diapers. You can never tell what the kid went only if you could smell it or while you were changing it. But Christian would be able to survive with it. He kissed Charity and asked, "Where do you want to go out?"

Charity contemplated her answer, she couldn't decide between a small cafe around the corner or a well-known greek and american resturant about 15 minutes away. "Um, how about Cup-A-Few, around the corner. Just a small dinner. And Asher eats their food." Charity smiled and shrugged. She just wanted a small, intimate dinner. "How about the Asher? You want some chicken fingers?" Asher giggled and even snorted once, which made her laugh. She laughed, resting her head on her husband's chest, inhaling his scent.

"Yep that sounds good." He said. Christian was willing to eat anything because he was starving. He watched as Charity played with Asher. This was his life and he just loved it so much. He grinned when Asher snorted. Christian then started rubbing Charity's back. "Asher, we can't go bud until you put on some pants." Christian said. Asher looked down at his legs and smiled at Christian while clapping his hands. Right now Christian didn't want this moment to end.

Charity kissed Christian's cheek, and picked up Asher. "What pant's do you want to wear?" Asher giggled and cooed. Charity smiled at him then Christian. She took Asher upstairs, to his bedroom. She dressed him and walked back downstairs to Christian. Charity grabbed her leather jacket from its hook and her purse. She was so happy right now. She had the perfect life, well, other than having to work. She opened the door to their middle class house and stepped onto the porch.

Christian watched as they went upstairs. Then he went to go get his jacket and his wallet. He put his wallet in his back pocket and put on his jacket. He grabbed Asher's blanket and grabbed a pair of shoes for Charity. Christian knew that Asher could never live without his blanket. He went outside and gave Asher his blanket. Asher smiled and grabbed his blanket then yawned again. "You getting tired?" He asked Asher. He put the pair of shoes for Charity on the porch. "You forgot to put on shoes." He said pointing to Charity's slippers.

Her face turned red. "Oh, right..." Charity slipped on her converse, and threw her cococat slippers into the house. They landed at the bottom of the stairs. She smiled, thinking that, If this is how good my life's going to be, I hope live long... Charity kissed Asher's forehead and walked to their Jeep. It was her car, and Christian had his. She loved her Jeep but, not as much as her family. She was so glad this was her life. She had a family that loved her, for once.

Christian grinned when Charity said oh right. Christian took Asher from Charity and strapped him in his car seat. Then when he and Charity were in the car and buckled he started driving to the restaurant. "I'm so glad were having another kid. It'll keep Asher entertained if we ever go on a road trip. What are we going to name the baby?" Christian asked. When Charity and Christian were having Asher after awhile, Christian got tired of calling Asher 'it'.

Charity played with the tied part of her shirt. She hadn't thought about baby names. "Well,.." She started, "if it's a girl, I was thinking Snow or Skylar. If it's a boy, well..." Charity looked over at Christian. "Henry or Zack. What d'you think?" She shrugged and leaned her head against the seat, but was still looking at Christian. He was so cute. Charity smiled and said, "I'm not sure about them yet..."

Christian nodded. "I think they're all nice names. Okay so if it's a girl her name can be Skylar Snow Rogers. And if it's a boy his name can be Zack Henry Rogers. How is that?" He asked Charity taking a quick glance at her. He continued driving and then soon they were at the restaurant. Christian parked the car and went to the car door where Asher was. He unbuckled Asher and opened the car door for Charity.

Charity nodded, and stepped out of the Jeep. She could smell the small Cafe food from here. She really needed a salad and some coffee. Plus, she had gymnastics training at five am. Charity smiled, opening the cafe door, with its bells, for Christian and Asher. He was carrying Asher so, he couldn't open the door. She walked in after them, greeting Dolores, the cafe owner. Dolores smiled wide and sat them at a booth by the window. Asher loved watching the cars go by.

Christian went into the cafe with Asher and Charity. It could smell the food already. He knew he couldn't eat anything greasy because he had to work out early tomorrow. Christian put the booster seat for Asher and sat him on top of it. Asher quickly looked at the window with his fingers on it watching the cars go by. Christian grinned. Asher and Charity always brought joy to him. Then Dolores came over with the menus, told them the specials and said she was going to come back to get their drinks and their order. "What are you going to get?" He asked Charity looking at the menus.

Charity made a disgusted face at somethings on the menu, like liver and onions. She already knew what she was having though. "Um, I've having a salad, with catarina dressing and some carrots and pickles on the side." She smiled and closed her menu. Charity let Asher grip her finger with his tiny hand. She smiled and kept on poking his stomach, making him giggle. She cover her eyes, playing peek-a-boo with her baby boy.

"I think I'll have the same." He said. Christian had picked that because that was probably the only thing on the menu that healthy. He closed his menu and put it to the side. He watched as Charity played with Asher. The Dolores came over. "Hey guys. How's the cute and adorable Asher?" She said rubbing his cheek with her thumb. "How are you guys?" She asked. "Were fine. We just found out that were having a baby." Chrstian said. "Well, congratulations. Now what would like to drink?' She asked. "Water is fine for me. What about you Charity?" He asked her.

Charity smiled at Dolores. "Can I get a rootbeer, and a chocolate milk for Asher, please?" She played with her black, silky hair. Her eyes wandered through the cafe. She couldn't help but, notice her childhood friend, Jesse Hymene. Charity quickly looked away. She hated Jesse. He ditched her for the more popular kids. He also tried to tell her friends she was a lesbian and was crushing on all of them. That's what set her off. Charity looked at Asher and smiled, poking his stomach again, making him giggle.

"Sure thang. I'll come back to take your orders." Dolores said. She left going to go get the drinks. Christian looked around the cafe to see if he noticed anyone like Charity. Christian didn't notice anyone which he was happy with because he didn't want to notice someone he didn't like. Or a good friend because then they were going to ask him what happened, then he would have to lie to them and Christian didn't want to that. "Did you notice anyone?" He asked Charity.

For some reason I keep imagining Dolores as a country person. xD
