| Sadie | King "Oh gods... Go away before I decide to kill you." Sadie was well...drunk. She took a swig of whatever she was drinking before it slipped out of her hands and crashed to the floor. Sadie giggled, but soon broke into fits of laughter that turned into cries. People at the bar gave Sadie weird looks before returning to what they were doing. Getting up from the stool, Sadie dropped some money on the bar before leaving. Well, she didn't leave until she flipped everyone off.
Stumbling through the street in a band t-shirt, shorts, and brown boots, Sadie was a mess. In the inside she was. On the outside, she didn't seem like a mess. Her blonde hair was pulled into a ponytail with a few loose strands hanging out. Her blue/green/gray eyes were glassy and you could tell she was drunk. Sadie bumped into people, cussing them out in her accent.
"Am I better off dead? Am I better off a quiter? Ey, what's you looking at?" Sadie asked a man who had his eyebrows raised. Sadie stumbled into a brick wall, laughing.

| Alex stepped out of the restaurant that he was at with Ruth. For some reason, he felt that something was going to happen. Something... not that great. He looked down at his shoes, standing there awkwardly and waiting for Ruth to come out. He was off in his own world when he heard a familiar accent. A tone that he knew all too well. He could only pray that it was someone else. He could only hope.
But his prayers never worked, and looking up he spotted her. He spotted Sadie, drunk and ticked off. He wanted to step back into the restaurant, but then it was too crowded, and he couldn't. Alex stood there awkwardly, looking away and hoping that she didn't recognise him. He hoped that she would totally disregard him when she passed by, because she was heading in his direction. Then again, the gods never listen, and there would probably be an awkward reunion.
Alex took a few steps away, backing into someone. "I-I'm sorry." he said quietly as the man gave him a small smile and patted him on the back, obviously thinking that he was waiting for a girl to arrive. When he was in such a rush to leave. But hey, it was the thought that counted, right?

| Ruthie pushed open on the glass door, her cheeks slightly flushed from the inside of restaurant. She blinked her eyes in the harsh sunlight, her pupils quickly dilating and attempting to adjust from the dimmed lighting of the eatery to the bright, sunny world outside. She let the door close on its own, stumbling a bit, before grabbing onto Alex's arm. "Hi," she said quietly, gazing at his face with a small smile playing on her lips. Hearing an accent slightly like her own, but more modern, Ruthie turned her gaze from Alex's handsomely rugged face to the sound. It was a girl.. stumbling and drunk.
Ruthie's eyebrows furrowed as she squinted to see who it was. It looked like a girl... from camp. Ruth cocked her head to the side in confusion, wondering why the girl was drunk. She looked to Alex from the girl and then back to the girl again, desperately attempting to connect the dots. "Who's that?" Ruthie questioned, her big violet eyes illuminated with curiosity. "Say, isn't she from camp?" Almost possesively, but completely unconscious, Ruthie slid her hand down Alex's arm, intertwining their fingers. It was as if she were marking her territory.

| Sadie | Mimi | King Blue jeans, white shirt Walked into the room you know you made my eyes burn It was like, James Dean, for sure You're so fresh to death and sick as ca-cancer You were sorta punk rock, I grew up on hip hop But you fit me better than my favourite sweater, and I know That love is mean, and love hurts But I still remember that day we met in december, oh baby Sadie suddenly stopped when she heard a girl speak. Looking over at the girl, she saw her slip and arm around a boy. A boy that Sadie knew. It was Alex. Okay, so maybe an undrunk part of Sadie knew what was going on. Alex had replaced Sadie. And replaced her really fast. Somehow, Sadie didn't feel that drunk anymore.
Her dark blue eyes looked over Alex and the girl, feeling so hurt. Well it seemed to him that Sadie was just trash. Sadie crossed her arms and didn't seem drunk anymore. Sadie was used to being drunk and hiding it. Wasn't that hard for her really.
"Hi Alex and whatever your name is. Seems you work fast," Sadie said to Alex, even though she was looking at the girl. She seemed beautiful to Sadie. Well, why not? She was far more prettier than Sadie. Sadie looked back at Alex as her eye color changed from blue to green.

Alex took in a deep breath, and he cursed mentally. Mostly against the gods. It couldn't get any worse, so why not? He stood there awkwardly. "She's well... uh... she's my ex." he told Ruthie quietly before Sadie walked over. Alex squeezed her hand nervously, not knowing what to do.
He shifted his left foot awkwardly, not knowing what to do. He knew that she had a high alcohol tolerance, and well, Sadie was just forcing the alcohol in her system. It hurt him. He still thought of her as a friend, his feelings had been severed when he broke up with her, but he couldn't stand and see her like this. Not drunk and going back into her alcoholic ways. He still cared. "Uh, hi Sadie." he said awkwardly, his whole body tense. He could feel the tension in the air, and well, he didn't enjoy it at all.
He hated it. He wanted to just walk away because he couldn't stand seeing her like this. Mostly because it was his fault and he was just a big softie. He held Ruthie's hand tightly, hoping that Ruthie didn't get jealous. She wasn't really the type, but how would he know? He was a guy.

With a slightly a hurt expression, she opened her mouth to reply with a hello, but stopped herself, realizing that this girl--Sadie-- wasn't going to say nice things to her if she replied. Like a good little girl, Ruthie closed her mouth and stood there, latched onto Alex's arm, just smiling like a trophy wife. That's all she'd ever known to do, anyways. Was to be seen, but not heard. Ruthie looked up at Alex's face, watching the mixed emotions splatter on his face. "Wow.. you can actually feel the awkward," she said, giving Alex's side a quick pinch. She reached into his left pocket and retrieved his car keys with a smile, "I'll pull up the car," she grinned, striding away, her four inch heels clicking against the sidewalk.
Though she was distraught, Ruthie still walked with a passion because she knew she was being judged. She knew that the girl, Sadie, was completely and utterly judging her. Ruthie lifted up the keys into the air, pressing the unlock button, hearing a familiar beeping. The Cadillac's lights flashed in the slight darkness of the dying evening. Ruthie's violet colored gaze flickered back and forth, watching the people around her making sure they weren't the grand theft auto kind of people. She pulled opened the door to the SUV, climbing in and shutting it, instantly hitting the lock button. Ruthie inserted the keys and gave it a swift turn, the radio turning on and blasting her ears out. "Holy f-" she started, but stopped, reminding herself that ladies didn't swear. "Udge.." she finished, exhaling.
In a matter of minutes, she had reparked the SUV on the street, pulled over by the place where Alex and Sadie stood. Ruthie turned in the keys in the ignition, the engine dying softly. Flipping down the mirror in front of her, she calmly reapplied her lipstick, her gaze flickering over towards the two exes. She narrowed her eyes slightly, trying hard to restrain herself from flinging her well oiled dagger at the girl's head. Ruthie wasn't usually the kind of girl who got jealous easily, but she couldn't help herself with Alex. He was just.. gorgeous. Not the kind of guy she'd ever gone out with before. Normally, she was very confident with herself and the way she presented herself but, she was anxious. Mostly because Alex had gone out with this... girl in the past and had clearly loved her before, so why not again? Plus, Ruthie and Alex weren't even dating. He could easily choose Sadie over her again.
Well, if that happened... Alex shouldn't forget that Ruthie was sitting in the driver's seat of his Cadillac with the keys.
hi, outfit here. :D

Then again, that was Sadie. Sadie watched the girl go get the car. Sadie was glad she was gone so she could talk to Alex by himself. Shrugging her shoulders, Sadie gave Alex a semi-glare.
"Well, thanks for replacing me that fast. Guess I just meant crap to you," Sadie said in a steely tone, lightning crackling in the sky even though it was day out. The girl had pulled up the car fast and Sadie's eyes flickered over to the car. Nice. If Sadie was in the driver's seat, that car would be at the bottom of the Long Island Sound by now. Or blown to bits. Or just someone combusted. In front of Alex's cabin at camp.
"You seem to have found a better girl. Just hope you don't do the same to her," Sadie told Alex coldly, her eyes flicking over to him once more.

| A look of regret passed across Alex's face and he glanced over at Ruthie, who appeared occupied with herself in the mirror. Alex bit his lip, trying to conceal a smile; Ruthie was always looking in a mirror. He wasn't going to lie, the girl was completely vain. But at least she was semi down to Earth. Personally, he also thought she looked pretty hot driving his car, though he wasn't going to admit that right now. It wasn't the time or the place, plus it would've been completely inappropriate. "I- I didn't replace you, Sadie," he hissed, his voice strained with frustration. "We broke up," he said with a sigh, recoiling backwards slowly. Alex ran his hands through his hair, taking a step backwards and exhaling deeply. He put his hands over the back of his head and looked up towards the sky, hoping the answer to his problems would come flying down out of nowhere. Odds are, that wasn't going to happen.
Alex really had to learn that all of his problems weren't going to be solved that easily. Especially not this one. "Well," he began, trying to state his previous thesis. "We didn't break up, we just drifted apart..." he tried to explain, motioning with his hands. This wasn't easy, trying to explain to Sadie that he no longer had feelings for her. Not easy at all. It had been months since they had gone out and really, all there was before was a simple physical attraction. Though he wanted to tell Sadie that it was just a physical attraction that messed with his head and tricked him into thinking he had feelings for her, he wasn't going to do that. He needed to start listening to his head.. not his pants.
"Look, Sadie," he started, seeming at a loss for words yet again. "I-I'm sorry." He stated simply, blinking his tired and worn out eyes. By that moment, honestly his eyes had drained of all emotion except empathy and apologetic-ness. An apology would work, right? It was going to have to work because he wasn't able to think of anything else.

Weaning forward in her seat, Ruthie was trying to inconspicuously listen to their conversation. At first, Alex had said something in a low voice that she was unable to hear and so her red lips formed into a slight pout as she sat back in her seat, her feet resting lightly against the pedals. A soft breeze blew in through the window, ruffling Ruthie's hair slightly. She frowned and tucked the stray pieces behind her ear. Just then, Alex said something totally audible to her and she let out a breath. Alright, so she wasn't going to have to drive his Cadillac into any body of water tonight. That was good news, considering she loved his car a lot. Just to prove her endless love, Ruthie ran a finely manicured hand along the leather seat of the driver's spot. It was lovely, really.
Again, Ruthie leaned forward, attempting to catch the tail end of Alex's reply, but only heard something along the lines of an apology. Ruthie eyebrows furrowed in confusion. He better have been talking about apologising for hurting her feelings and not that he left her and wanted her back. From what Ruthie had learned from Alex, they'd just drifted apart over time. Not that he'd left her for another girl. So really, Sadie could blame it on time and lack of attention. Though, that would still give her reason to hate Ruthie.. not to mention Ruthie's looks. She was probably jealous of those, too. Sadie was kind of plain, now that Ruthie examined her from a distance. She was the type of girl that Ruthie would love to give a makeover. Maybe if they ever became friends, that could happen?
Probably not. Ruthie frowned, leaning back once more. She reached out, turning the keys halfway, the stereo coming on. Fiddling with the radio, Ruthie settled on an oldies station. Though she pretended to listen to pop and rap with her sisters, Ruthie was still a bit stuck in her mindset of the 20's. So she listened to music from the 20's and early 30's in her spare time? So what? She was allowed to do what she want. Humming along softly to an old tune, she glanced outside the window watching Alex look completely disheveled.
ooc; sorry that was poopy. i wrote the post before this one, too. heh.

A part of her knew that Alex was right. What they had was almost like a one night stand. It had just been all physically, nothing mental or emotional. But, another part of Sadie wanted to crack a bottle over Alex's head and kick him in his man parts and run. The sane part of Sadie was in control at the moment. Alex should be thanking the gods.
Sadie looked up at Alex, her eyes changing from green to gray. She didn't know what to say. But Sadie knew she had to say something. She couldn't walk away without saying, "It's okay," or just something so Alex wouldn't have to live with guilt of knowing he hurt Sadie a bit.
"I know. We both drifted apart. I-I shouldn't have done what I just did. I'm just... I honestly don't know," Sadie mumbled to Alex, finally realizing what she had fully just done. Wow, Sadie felt like the b word. Sadie stepped forward and awkwardly patted Alex on the shoulder.
"I'm sorry too. Just acting like a Zeus kid," Sadie mumbled, losing her accent fir a moment.
