Just a blonde and water, dude [S A M]

Walking down the lake, with her bright red high-tops crushing against the pebbles, Hayden looked out at the water from beneath her sunglasses. She enjoyed the heat that this day provided, and had decided to make the most of it by ditching her usual jeans for a pair of ripped denim shorts, which showed a lot more leg than she was used and comfortable to. Seeing as she wasn’t a huge fan on the camp’s orange uniform either, the Demigod had decided to wear a plain white shirt, which may have been a little too tight on her but she didn’t give a crap. She hadn’t really expected to run along anyone anyways so what was the problem?

With her long blond hair cascading down her back and shoulders, Hayden stopped at the edge of the water, not stepping so close that her feet got wet. That wouldn’t be fun, seeing as these sneakers had cost her a lot of her money. It wasn’t as if Hayden had money; hell no. She was good at playing cards, was all. Damn, Chiron would most likely kill her if he found out how she got her money. Mr. D, however, would probably find it amusing.

Sighing lightly to herself, Hayden sat down on a patch of grass, bringing her feet under her butt and leaning on her right arm, her other hand pulling on the grass lightly. Keeping her eyes low, she didn’t notice anyone else approaching, and she was so absorbed in this land of…grass…that she probably wouldn’t be able to until they were close to her.

Looking at the little pieces of grass in her hands, the Demigod was startled when someone called out to her, making her jump like, a mile. Brushing her long wavy hair back from her face, Hayden’s eyes left the ground and looked over to the boy, blushing slightly as she realized that he was hot. Like, real hot. Like...Probably a nine-point-five on her hot-guy scale.

Yeah, Hayden had a hot-guy scale. And what, bro?

She looked over her shoulder quickly having to make sure that the boy was talking to her. Why would a guy be talking to her? She didn’t really consider herself attractive, even though people told her she was. Whether this was modesty or stupidity she was not sure.

Realizing that the boy had in fact been talking to her, she seemed so stupid to have been so absorbed in the grass. How long had he been standing there? What had he been doing? She wasn’t too sure. Did Hayden know the boy? She very much doubted so; she would certainly remember meeting a guy this hot.

Whoa, Hayden must be staring. Frowning and laughing lightly at herself, she shook her head, looking down at her lap for a minute before back at the boy, opening her mouth to speak. “Um…hey.” Unable to stop her curiosity getting the better of her, she smirked. “I’m sorry, but who are you? Do I know you?”

Wait. What? She knew him? But-but-but when did that happen? Surely Hayden would remember a boy that was a nine-point-five on her freaking scale. Taylor Lautner was only an eight, for Christ’s sake! But she didn’t remember him! There was something in the back of her mind telling her that he was lying, and that they hadn’t met but Hayden’s problem was that she trusted everyone straight away. So she just…shrugged it off, coming to the conclusion that they must have met before.

Staying seated, Hayden smiled at Gryffin and let her finger twirl around the grass. She nodded, telling herself to just pretend she remembered what he was talking about. “Uh…yeah…” She trailed, not really sounding too convincing. She continued quickly, so he might not be able to question her. “So…Gryffin…the plants…when was that again?” She asked, biting her lip as she tried to remember…

No…she couldn’t remember…

Patting the grass besides her as an open opportunity for him to sit down, Hayden wanted to see if she could actually remember Gryffin. Oh, and because his sexiness might rub off on me, she thought with a small laugh.

Raising her eyebrows, Hayden was pretty sure that he was talking crap. March the eigth? Right days after Justin Bieber's birthday, one day before she'd went to see Drake in concert. She specifically remembered heading into the city with two of her siblings, looking for a new pair of jeans for her to wear at the event. She did not meet any guy with plants on that day, let alone this guy.

"Uh...no...I think you're talking bull," Hayden laughed, her expression both settled in enjoyment and frustration. She wanted to know why Gryffin was saying that he knew her, but she was pretty sure that they had never met. Especially seeing as she had tried to make her think that he had helped her with the plants, rather going to see a sex-god in concert. "Nope, I was busy that day. So, seeing as I'm pretty sure we haven't met, who are you and how the hell do you know my name?" She asked, trying to sound pissed but coming across as amused accidentaly.

God dammit.

Continuing to frown in confusment for a moment, Hayden cound only watch as this boy peeled off his shirt to reveal.. to reveal...

...well...to reveal heaven. Hayden had always been a sucker for abs.

After a moment of just staring at his muscles, Hayden forced her eyelids to close, a deep blush forming at her cheeks. Damn, Griffin was so sexy. It made her forget her own name, and what they had just been talking about. Had that been his intention? If so, then it had worked.

Opening her eyes once more, Hayden struggled to keep her eyes on his face. "Um...I forgot what we had been talking about..." She told him sheepishly, biting her lip.

Had they talked about that? Hayden wasn't too sure but...you have to live in the moment, don't you? YOLO and all that. Running a hand through her wavy blonde hair, Hayden took Gryffin's hand to help pull herself to her feet, brushing grass off her bare legs.

"We had?" She mumbled with genuine confusion, feeling like she had just been hit on the head and lost her memory. She risked a glance at Gryffin's and quickly before gulping with a shurg, nodding for him to lead the way as she stood there, speechless.
