beyond normal limits (brennan / pm to join)

To say Isaac had pushed himself beyond normal limits was a severe understatement. Today especially. He had woken up at four a.m. with that feeling. You know, the one you get when you know something is going to go terribly wrong? Yup, that's the one. He had that kind of feeling. His reaction? Slip on tennis shoes and start running. Isaac ran around the camp for an hour at four o'clock in the morning in tennis shoes and the basketball shorts he had slept in before sprinting back to the basketball court. After another exhausting half hour, he jogged back to his cabin and picked up his towel and a change of clothes before heading to the showers. Breakfast re-energized him, naturally, which meant he had to drain it all again. Isaac spent five hours in the arena, training hard until the lunch bell rang. A bag of chips and a sandwich made up his meal which he gave time to actually settle before continuing his strict, no-energy-allowed regimen. Three times climbing the wall and only a mild burn signaled how many times he had actually visited it. Isaac had caught onto the pattern after so much time spent there and it was no longer as grueling and exhausting as it had once been. He would have to find something new pretty soon. And so, after another run around the camp boundaries, he ended up here. Here being the lake, that is.

Physically, he was worn down. It was a fairly hot day today so that helped some. A few laps or so would do him good. Isaac would be able to cool down and still expend whatever amount of energy he still had left. And his black t-shirt was now drenched in sweat. He pulled off his shirt and cast it to the side before diving in off the rock jutting out over the lake. Emerging from the water, he took a big gasp of air and shook his head to get the hair out of his eyes. It wasn't really long or anything, just long enough to be a nuisance at times.

Three laps around the whole lake and Issac had pushed himself far beyond his limits. To say he was exhausted would be like saying the Khione cabin was just a little cool. It took the last of his strength to pull himself out of the water and onto the banks. After a moment's rest, Isaac lifted himself off the ground and walked back towards his shirt, water bottle, and the extra bag of chips he had gotten at lunch. He needed a little bit of energy to make it back to his cabin, right? Soaked to the bone in water and sweat, he focused on just getting to his stuff and taking a short rest.

Unfortunately for poor Isaac, he was so wrapped up in his thoughts about the water and chips calling him he didn't see the girl laying in the tall grass until it was too late. Isaac tripped over her and went sprawling on the ground. "Damn it!" he cursed picking himself up. "People just leave their stuff every-" he turned around mid-rant and stopped when he realized it wasn't something he had tripped over. It was someone. "Oh my gods! I am so sorry, I didn't see you!" he apologized as his ears began to turn red like they always did when he was embarrassed.

Bless poor Isaac! Seeing her put a hand on her ribs made him feel terrible. Never before had he consciously hurt someone unless it was part of his training. Even then he immediately ran to the infirmary and got nectar and ambrosia for them. To see he had caused other people pain killed him. "A-are you sure? M-maybe I s-should take you to the infirmary... or I-i have s-some ambrosia with me if that w-would help?" he asked her without making eye contact as he shuffled his feet. Despite his physical exhaustion, he felt it was his duty to make sure she was alright before going back to the cabin. What had started out with just the tips of his ears reddening grew to a completely reddened face when he glanced up at her quickly before looking down at his feet once again. To say she was pretty was a severe understatement. The tall, slender girl had pretty light blonde hair and piercing blue eyes; if he had a type she'd be it. However, he didn't have a type. Isaac didn't even consider girls a possibility in his future. Not now and not ever
