More of a statment than a suggestion

I didn't know where else to post this, but I've noticed Hecate has a cabin and quite a few demigod children. From my research, I believed Hecate was a Maiden Goddess. So she couldn't have children. I may be wrong though, and please inform me if I am and state a source. Greek mythological research interests me greatly and I always like to have accurate information.

Hecate has children. There is even a Hecate cabin in the books, I believe. You might be thinking of Hestia, goddess of the hearth, or Hera, goddess or marriage.

Actually, Hecate is a maiden goddess, although she was mentioned to have children in the book.

I thought she was, so Rick Riordan had inaccurate information when he gave her children in the books...a forgivable mistake, it is after all a work of fiction and was never said to have historically accurate information concerning the gods. Well, I don't think he was inaccurate. I mean, he obviously wanted her to have children, but since it's his own book, he can twist the information to fit his own world. He was probably well aware of what he was doing, he just had something planned with having children of Hecate. I don't know. Thanks for asking, I understand your concern!
