Stricter Rules

Hey everyone,

Recently we received a significant reported abuse against us from a parent(s) due to inappropriate content within the roleplays. This included sexual and/or pornographic content. Due to this, Zan and I have agreed that we have to step up our moderation.

This means that any sexual/pornographic content in any post is now prohibited and strict consequences will be administered if anyone fails to follow these new rules. We want everyone to be safe and comfortable with posting, including everyone's parents. Also, please be sure to let your parents know that you are joined in this Forum; we want them to be informed as well. If they don't feel comfortable with you being on this site, then you should respect their opinion.

The minimum of displays of affection will be merely a kiss on the lips, at the most. I'm sorry to disappoint any of you that would like to go further, but that will now be prohibited. If anything goes further than that, it's your red light to stop. If not, however unfortunate it may be, you and whoever you're roleplaying with will be punished.

Thanks everyone, and I hope you all understand our intentions. We don't want this Forum to be shut down due to inappropriateness.

First one; I've heard that some members have... eh... 'RP sex' over PM. Is that also banned? (I dun care, but I know Dean does xD)

Sorry Moo. The preggo charries have to go. As in Zan will pretend Will never happened. And that he's just her nephew. Maddie can still retain her virginity and Piper can pretend none of this ever happened.

What The Crape....

Can't you have something on the topic that has somthing the warns this topic may have kisses. not plain out open sex, but a kiss on the lips like a normal teenager. Since in all honsety does a teen just kiss their girlfriend, fencie, or wife even on the cheek and leave it at that. I mean really?. like go ..

Maybe we should have ratings on the the topics or somthing and keep things on a very strict PG13 roleplay. And maybe if your parnets are no appoving of the rating then you do PG/K+/E ratings.

Anyways, guys, appreciate that you can kiss AT ALL. This is a site for all ages (that can type/read), and we have to respect that. I, for one, don't care about this and the complaints won't do. If you HAVE to make-out during a RP, do it over PM or not here, just not publicly. And, I know boys have hormones, so even if it says "PG13", they most likely WILL look through it.

And please, let's stop saying "Only a kiss on the cheek?!?!" I mean, at least you have that! It could be as far as a handshake, let alone touching in any way! So, if the admins do something like this, they have reasons. So please, learn to appreciate what you have, or else you'll be wishing you had it when it's taken away.

Guys, we didn't make this up - we're trying to abide by what a parent had strictly said to us. We don't want to risk anything. However, I think it's fair enough to change kiss on the cheek to kissing on the lips, as that occurred in the books. So I'm going to change that right now.

And, as for what you said, we aren't ClubPenguin - we are trying to be better. Anyways CP is totally different than an online RP forum, right? Their mods are never looking around, where as we, CHB, have mods and admins everywhere. Plus, CP has like a million users, so of course there will be the crazy-pervy people there.

This is the admins' decissions. And personally, I'm all for it. I will admit, I have had a pregnant chatacter. And how do you think she got pregnant? However, hearing about this from parents means that it's time to make rules stricter. You don't have to be happy with the new rules, but you do have to follow them. Arguing and pushing the boundaries with this doesn't help the cause, it only makes you look immature, which I know you aren't. We can't just ignore complaints from parents. And do you want to know why? Because we're just kids. Some of us are older, but that's the extent of it. We are kids and adults have authority over us. So, if we didn't do anything about this and the site got shut down would that be any better? I think that this is for the best...We're trying to make this an appropriate site for every age, and if that means stricter rules for these kind of things, then that's what it means. I'm sorry everyone, but that's the way it has to be.

I agree I also made a decision to attempt the pregnancy thing and now parents have started complaining It tells me that this isn't O.K. I'm definitely going to make a cutback on some of my RP content and follow these rules as best as I can. Simple as that,

I must say something...


All the talk about banning PM sex... uh, you kinda have no control over that, no one does.

Regular members cant stop it, and they are called Private Messages for a reason, no one but those 2 people can see them, Admins cant see them anywhere, not even in the admin panel, because its invasion of privacy.

I should announce I have always seen this as a PG-13 forum, and had treated it as such, never actually being graphic or detailed in anything romantic or per say, sexual, instead being vague as possible.

If parents are complaining, thats bad, but we dont have to treat it like an apocalypse, IMHO, Parents are our protectors, teachers, guardians, etc, but they dont have total control over us, its not like every parent is complaining.

Just, really, I respect your decisions a lot Dan, but try not to make it sound so bad next time, your wording made it seem like you were describing a battle where we lost a million soldiers, and not just some parent complaints -.-

Lol sorry about that, Gaz. I have a tendency to sometimes blow things a bit out of proportion. However, I think that these decisions are justifiable and are fit for what we should do now. PMs are private, so you may do what you like, but keep in mind that if something goes further in public, then appropriate consequences will occur.

As for pregnancy, perhaps that could happen, except that you would have to refrain from anything that's too sexual or graphic. I do admit that things were a bit overboard, and the suggestions placed by us upon the parent were maybe a bit too drastic. I will talk with Zan and think this through.

--I think this is a good choice. I'd rather have CHB without the content, I really don't take part in any content, than not have it at all. If those were our two choices, what would you guys choose?
