feed the fire, break your vision

James really didn’t have much sense anymore. There was so much stress being enforced on him, even though he never let it show. He was cabin-leader to his cabin – though he had brought June in because he needed the help, and he didn’t think he would do a good job left on his own, he had all these events to help plan, the chariot race and not to mention that he was still pretty traumatised after shooting someone months ago. He did a good job at playing it cool, unless you really spent time with him; if you stayed with James right now for more than an hour, you would soon realize that he was more grumpy and snappy than he may usually be. He had no clue why he was going on this date.

Tori? He hadn’t spoken to Tori for quite a few weeks. The last time had to be when they ‘made up’ after he had been caught making-out with the hot, yet evil, blonde girl in the arts and crafts department. James had been so busy since that he had barely found the time. He had spent a message through one of his brothers to cabin two, so he hoped that she got it; he would be standing at the entrance of camp for ages otherwise. He didn’t like being stood up and it would probably infuriate him further, so they had better have got the message. Otherwise there would be a hell of a lot of punches that would be dished out to the kid that hadn’t managed to do his brother a favour.

Shuffling on his feet by the entrance, James looked down at his watch. 17:56. He ran a hand through his spiked hair, his forehead twisting into a frown as he looked down at the screen of his Blackberry. His thumb moved over the crack in the corner of the screen from where he had dropped it from his desk above his bed and he deliberated how long he would be alone.

Tori hadn't had a very interesting fall. She had been busy being bother by James, but for the last long while, that had faded into a dull annoyance. The thought of him making out with another girl disturbed her, but she had turned to indifference, not really caring or forgiving him. Her days consisted solely of sleeping, training, and eating occasionally. Tori hadn't been very hungry in recent weeks, and just didn't bother. She would skip lunch most days, and breakfast for that matter.

When she had an Ares kid come to Cabin Two asking for her, Tori considered not going. What had she done recently to Cabin Five? Nothing to bad, hopefully. She listened to the messenger, surprised by the news. James couldn't ask her properly? Not taking into consideration how busy he could possibly be, the demigod showed the kid the door. Yet, here she was, preparing for this impromptu date. She had forgotten, admittedly, and was rushing. Yanking her hair, she quickly straightened it and pulled it back in a half - ponytail, not really putting much effort into her appearance. She was dressed in a striped sweatshirt, a skirt [yes, regrettably] and leggings.

Tori tried to look calm when she headed over to to the entrance of the camp. The sun was setting, being that winter was coming rapidly, making it feel later than usual. The demigod raised an eyebrow, seeing James with his phone in his hands. Not making any comment, she continued to walk up the hill until coming to meet up with him. "Hey," Tori said airily, her voice lacking emotion.
