Tori wasn't scared to go into the haunted house, expecting it to be, well, lame. She knew Cabin Five was running it, but even that didn't bother her. After all, how could teenagers in fake costumes be scary? Almost losing your mind or life in a battle, now that was scary. She thought about all of this as she got into the clearing which held the haunted house. The house would've probably been beautiful in it's time, but now looked faded and sad. Ignoring the caution tape plastered on broken windows, the demigod stepped inside.

The white of her Tom's Sweatshirt glowed even in the darkness of the house. Tori had seen this in other houses, and thought it was cool that they had light that made white colored things appear... well white. She took a look around, noticing the eerie noises and tattered look of the walls. Everything seemed old and creepy, not that she really minded. Tori kept her face emotionless as she pushed the door open to the first room.

This room must've been the kitchen, or something of that nature. There was a stove, a frige, and a counter - looking thing. She couldn't really be sure. Tori brushed her light brown hair out of her eyes and glanced around. There wasn't really much too see in this room, which she found disappointing. She crossed her arms, feeling oddly cold.

Creak...

Tori felt her muscles tense up, but then forced them to relax. It was either the house or someone behind her. Either way, she pretended not to notice.

After everything that had happened at camp. After everyone he knew who had died or been seriously injuried, James wasn't going to let this oppurtunity pass without making some kid pee themselves out of fear. His cabin, along with others, had been put In charge of the haunted house. He had been here a day and he was already having more fun than he should. He had dressed himself up in ripped and muddy old jeans and a torn white-shirt. Flattered all over his clothes was red paint that looks like blood, and his face was painted a sickly green with more smeares of red along his cheeks. His hair was also dishevelled and standing in multiple directions, although he couldn't care less about that.

The Ares cabin-leader didn't want to stick around too long in one room, moving from the cellar-style room and moving into what seemed like a kitchen. It was pretty plain, in conparison to the rest of the house but there were many places to hide. Hearing someone make their way into the room, James grinned wickedly and crammed his broad body Into the wide fridge which was complete hollow on the inside. He watched as the girl looked around, perhaps looking for the thing that was meant to jump out at her. It was then that James realized that it was Tori, which made this all much funnier. Man, he was going to enjoy this.

Just when he expected her to think that the room was clear, James barged through the door and stumbled towards Tori, his head cocked as if he was actually a zombie but he struggled not to laugh. "Brains. I want to eat your brains...if you had any." He probably stood out a mile, considering he still sounded very English despite putting on the voice.

Tori was just about to leave, thinking whatever that noise was had either come from the wind or something else. Maybe someone screaming in the basement area, or something dull like that. Rolling her eyes at the room, the demigod was turning on her heel to the door. At least, she was.

Then she heard the fridge door slam open. Tori hated to admit it, but she jumped back and let out a little yelp. The demigod then immediately knew who it was, starting with the English accent. Laughing at his comment, Tori rolled her dark brown eyes. "James, you're an ass." she stated, still laughing. Most people wouldn't find it funny, but this one did. She was easily amused by people dressed up in obvious costumes hiding in rooms to scare the life out of others. Heck, Tori would volunteer for a job like this.

Wiping small tears from laughter form her eyes, the demigod regained her crossed arm position. " 'if I had any?' " Tori asked, one eyebrow raised. "Says the boy in a zombie costume," she added, amused. The demigod loved bothering James about nothing, because it was in her nature; especially around him. She felt so much more at ease, and her sarcasm often came out.

A smile painted on her usually emotionless face, she took a seat on the 'kitchen' table. The red paint splattered on it didn't bother her. It was obviously paint, and Tori obviously didn't care about it. Swinging her legs due to ADHD, the demigod waited for a reply from her ares boyfriend.
