Quinn walks into the messhall, in search for something to eat. He had just gotten done, with a nice run and he was starving. He makes his way over to the table, full of food, and surveys it. He picks up a plate, and moves down the line. He selects a small salad, a cheese burger, an apple, and some carrots for his meal. He moves to the end of the table, and adds condiments to his burger.

Quinn then turns, and looks around. He walks over to the Hera table, and sets his tray down. He then sits down, and looks around. He really didn't like sitting here, why could Morpheus have his own table? He sighs and looks at his food, he then picks up his glass, and says "Milk"the glass then fills with the white liquid. He smiles, and picks up his cheeseburger and takes a bite.

Jen walked into the Mess Hall, with a few other girls who just happened to become her friends. She felt bad not knowing all their names, but somehow they knew her. Something told her it was because of her movie star parents. Hm. It was lunch time, and Jen was personally hungry. She never did eat a lot, and wasn't skinny. Jen didn't see herself as skinny either. "Is the food usually good here?" she asked her group of friends. "Oh, yeah, usually." one of them replied. Nodding, Jen got into the line for food.

She had her hair in a side ponytail, and it was getting in her face. Ignoring her hair, she got a plate. Jen grabbed a salad, a sandwich, and one of the goblet things. Her friends walked over to thier tables, sne she frowned. "Can't I sit by you guys?" Jen asked. They shook their heads. "No, you're a legacy, so you sit with the Hera Table." another explained. Jen sighed, and walked over to Cabin 2's table.

There her almost no open spots, except for one by this boy, who wasn't that bad looking, believe me, Jen checked. Clearing her throat she asked him, "Can I sit by you?" Hopefully, he was one of the nicer kids at camp. She could tell it was filled with good and bad people.

Quinn sits, there ignoring everything around him, as he eats. That run, had really worn him out, and certianly made him hungry. He finishes his cheeseburger, and wipes his mouth. He then moves on to eating, his carrots. Pausing, to take a drink here and there.

Finishing his carrots, Quinn picks up his apple, and takes a large bite from it. While he's eating his apple, he hears a voice, that sounds like its talking to him. He looks up to see a girl, standing there. "Sure, you can sit by me"he says to her. He then moves his try closer to him to make more room. He sets his apple core down, and looks at the girl for a bit.

"Hey, I'm Quinn, and you are?"he asks her. She was really pretty, and hopefully nice. If there was one thing Quinn hated the most about girls it would have to be, when they we're just brats and mean. He smiles lightly, and picks up his milk and takes a sip.

Jen smiled at him, a smile that most people didn't get. For some reason, meeting new people here made her day, quite a lot actually. She quickly sat down, filling her fork up with the vegetables from her salad. "Nice to meet you Quinn." Jen said, after eating that forkful of food. He seemed to be friendly, a trait most of her so-called "Friends" didn't. Of course there was nice ones, like Brett. Then there were others, like Jamie, Trisha, and Haley. They just liked her because she was rich. Er, no, her father was rich.

Almost forgetting the second thing that Quinn asked, she looked at him, with her blue eyes. "I'm Jen... ifer." she said, adding the last part of her name lastly."I go by Jen though." Jen said with another smile. She filled up her fork once more, and then ate another few bites of her salad. The green on her plate was disappearing, and she wanted to find more about Quinn.

Jen set down her fork, and turned to him once more. "So, Quinn, who is your godly parent?" she asked with a smile. Waiting for his reply, she took a bit e of her sandwich. She almost gagged, not knowing there was so much cheese in the sandwich. Good thing she wasn't lactose intolerant. Jen just didn't like cheese.

Quinn smiles at Jen. So far, she seemed really nice and he hoped that would stay. He looks down at his plate, and pick up a carrot and takes a bite out of it. He looks up, still munching on his carrot. When he's done with his first, he moves on to his second.

He smiles and nods, as he listens to her talk. Hopefully, she would be a friend. Quinn enjoyed making friends, and Jen seems like shes the type of person he wants as a friend. Pretty, soon Quinn finishes his carrots. He then moves on to his chips.

Quinn swallows the food in his mouth, and takes a sip from his milk. "Morphues, the god of dreams."he says in reply to Jen's question. He smiles lightly, and takes another sip of the milk, finishing it off. He then eats a few more chips. "Who's your godly parent?"he asks her.

Jen listened to him, and finished off her salad. Now she moved on to her ham and cheese sandwich. She looked at Quinn, and listened to him. God of Dreams, cool. "So do you day dream a lot?" Jen asked, with a wide smile. She was only joking, but she did also think her statement could be true.

Jen took another two bites of her food, and drank some of her water. "I'm a legacy of Aphrodite and Mainae." she replied with a nod, after a few moments. "My dad was a son of Aphrodite, and my mom was a daughter of Mainae." Jen added. She felt the need to explain that, since most people asked afterwards anyways.

Sneaking a glance at Quinn, she smiled before turning back to her sandwich. Jen took a few more bites, and soon it was gone. Taking her goblet in her hand, she shifted in her chair to better face Quinn. Jen hoped to get a good conversation going, and maybe making another friend.

Quinn grins, as he finishes his food. He then stands up, and gathers all of his trash. "Be right back"he says to Jen. He then walks over to the trash, and throws his trash away. Finished with that, he walks back over and sits down. He smiles, and rests his elbows on the table, and his face on his palms. He then looks at her, like he's egar to listen, and very intent. Honestly, it looked really goofy, but hey thats Quinn's specilty.

Hearing Jen's question, Quinn can't help letting out a small laugh. "Sometimes, but not a whole lot. I tend to dream more at night time"he tells her with a slight grin on his face. Quinn's face goes straight, as he listens to her talk. "That's really cool!"he says to her, and he wasn't just saying that, to make her feel good or anything. Quinn honestly, thought it was cool, he liked how there is children of minor gods, and then legacys here. It made the camp seem different.

Quinn looks over at Jen, and smiles. He was really enjoying their conversation. "So Jen, tell me about yourself"he says to her. He then brushes some of his fair out of his face.

Jen smiled, and followed him to throw away her own plate and dishes. When she got back to cabin 2's table, she had down and brushed some hair out of her face. Her side ponytail was coming undone, so she just took out the ponytail. Her light brown hair filled the back of her head again. Jen lightly swept the hair out, and look at Quinn again.

She smiled when he said that being a legacy was cool. Maybe it was, she hadn't been here long enough to know. "I guess it is..." Jen said, shrugging a little bit. Then she heard him ask another question. "Tell me about yourself...", he had said. Okay, maybe not a question, but still. Jen bit her lip, not really knowing where to start. "Well, I lived in California with my dad and mom. Since both of them were actors, it was best to keep them close to Hollywood." she said, pausing a little bit. "My mom disappeared a while back, I didn't ever find out what happened to her." Jen said, a puzzled look crossing her face.

"Anyways, fast forward a while and my dad tells me who he is, and my mom was. Then he sent me off to camp. The end." Jen said with a soft smile. "So, your turn." she said, meaning it was his turn to give a brief history.

Quinn leans forward slightly, as he listens. See thats the thing about Quinn, he's a very good listener. He tends to lean in a bit closely, when he listens however, but oh well who cares?

Quinn smiles lightly, and leans back someone, once he realizes how close he is. He blushes slightly, but keeps listening. Every once and a while, he nods or something like that. "Wow, that's cool. Sorry about your mom though"he says to Jen.

He smiles lightly, and thinks. What is there to tell her? Not alot, thats for sure. "Let's see, my life was pretty average, I lived in New York City, with my mom, my four brothers and my sister. At school I played sports, and I had some friends. That's pretty much it"he says. Quinn grins, and looks at Jen. He liked this alot, he was making a new friend!

Jen noticed how he leaned into the conversation, so to speak. She somehow felt a little better that he paid attention. Most people who heard her "story" stopped listening after "Since my parents are both actors..." Jen smiled at him, shortly after finishing. "Oh, thanks." she said, hearing him say sorry about her mom.

Jen's smile widened when she saw a red blush cross his face, realizing how close their heads were. She let out a tiny laugh, which sounded like a hundred bells going off. Then, like he did to her, she leaned in as he told his mini-life-story.

Jen nodded as he was done, and leaned back into a normal position. "Four brothers huh? I don't think I would've survived in your shoes!" she said, half laughing. "Were they all sons of Morpheus too?" Jen asked, suddenly thinking about that. If so, wow Morpheus must've really liked Quinn's mother.

Quinn sits there grinning like an idiot. He looks over at Jen, and studies her for a few seconds before looking away. He didn't want to look like a creep, but in that short time, he noticed just how pretty Jen is. Actually shes really pretty.

He laughs slightly, and picks up a glass, and whispers, "Water", the glass then fills with water. He holds it up, to his mouth and takes a long drink. He was still exhausted from running.

Quinn smiles, and laughs hearing what Jen says. "It was easy, It was way harder for Maeve, my little sister"he says to her. Hearing her ask if his brothers are sons of Morpheus too, he laughs. "Not that I know of, but I doubt it. I know who the younger ones dad is, but not the older ones. Its possible, but I doubt it, maybe another god".

Jen smiled at him, then directed her blue eyed gaze to the ground. She felt eyes on her, and looked up, meeting Quinn's eyes. She felt a tingling in her heart, and she gave him another smile. His eyes were very nice, in Jen opinion. They sucked you in, but in a good, comforting way.

After Quinn looked away, Jen did as well. She looked over to the line of food, still being served to campers. One boy walked past their table. He had green eyes and blonde surfer boy-type hair. Jen looked at him for a moment, and he winked at her. Her face turned a bright pink, and she gave a weak almost fake smile in return. Jen didn't even know that boy! People could be such flirts at times.

She listened to Quinn talk again, not daring to look at which table that boy had come from. Jen personally hoped that her new friend didn't see that. She didn't want Quinn thinking they had something going on, when they did not!! "Oh, I see, how old is she?" Jen asked, trying to get a conversation going again.

Quinn looks around slowly, not sure why. He catches the guy winking at Jen, but it doesn't really bother him. It really had no reason why it should bother him, so it didn't. He turns back around to face Jen, once more.

He smiles lightly, and sits there. "Thirteen."he says to her in respones to her question. Quinn's thoughts then begin to wonder towards his siblings. He really missed them, he hoped he would be able to see them soon. He also wondered if they we're mad because he left. Hopefully, they weren't.

Jen nodded slowly, feeling as if his single-worded answer just cut the conversation short by about a mile. "Is it nice, having siblings?" she asked , looking at him again. Jen brushed a strand of hair out of her face, hiding it behind her ear.

Her gaze fell to the floor again, as she looked at her shoes. Quinn seemed to be deep in thought, and she wouldn't interrupt him. Or would she? Yes, she would. "You think a lot, don't you Quinn?" Jen blurted out, not meaning to be mean in any way.

Quinn blinks, snapping out of his thought. Oh lordy, he just killed the whole conversation. He smiles lightly, and looks at Jen. "Sorry 'bout that. I have a tendency to do that."he tells her. Quinn takes his glass of water, and splashes some of it on her face. That felt alot better.

He then leans foward on his elbows, a few inches or so. Hearing what she says, he stops to think a bit. He smiles lightly, and soon the smile grows wider as he starts to laugh. "I do, don't I?"he says still laughing. Hearing her ask about siblings he calms down, but he's still grinning like an idiot. "I love having siblings, but sometimes its hard having alot. But I would hate not having siblings".he says, before he realizes what he said at the end of that. He frowns and looks at Jen,"Sorry about what I said there, at the end".

Jen couldn't help but letting out a laugh as he did, because the laughing seemed to be contagious. Hearing his reply, she nodded, then stopped. The last bit made her frown somewhat, but his recovery on those words made her feel better. "Oh, it's fine." Jen said with a slow nod.

She crossed her ankles and looked at the marble flooring for a moment, thinking about what her father had told her a while back. He was thinking about adopting when she left for camp. Jen liked the idea of siblings and all, but it seemed like her dad was replacing her with a new little kid. That didn't seem right either. "I might get a sibling, my dad is thinking about adopting..." Jen said softly. She wasn't sure how to respond to that herself, but maybe they could get a conversation going again.

Quinn sits there, still listening politely. However, the boy was starting to feel bored. It's not that he was bored because of Jen, he was enjoying talking with her. He was just bored, with being at the mess hall. He had finished his dinner, and he wanted to move on to another place.

He looks at Jen, and listens. Hearing, her say she might be getting a sibling, he smiles. "Wow that's cool! Congrats!"he says softly. He then smiles, and looks around a bit. He turns back to Jen, and opens his mouth to talk. "Jen, would you like to acompany me somewhere, other than here?"he asks her. Quinn then sits patently waiting for her reply.

Jen considered his offer. She wasn't doing anything now, or later, or even tomorrow. Jen looked at the ground, or marble flooring in this case. "Okay, let's go the beach or something." she offered with a smile. Jen was happy to have at least three real friends now. Quinn, Brett, and Sutton. Three friends in a week? Jen was making friends fast.

Jen looked up at him and smiled softly. "Unless you wanna do something else." she said shrugging. Jen didn't really care, but the beach did sound nice right now.

He then looks over at Jen, his somewhat tall stature, caused him to have to look down at her. "How about I meet you there? I should change, I'm not really dressed to go to a beach"he says to her.

Jen's smile spread a little wider. She was sitting down, and noted that he was at least a head taller than her. Jen stood up as well, smiling. He wasn't that much taller than her. "Okay, cool, I;ll meet you there." she replied, grinning.

Jen walked onto the beach, obviously arriving first, out of the two. She had come in her pink bikini, seashell sandals, and with a pair of designer sunglasses on her head. Jen had her hair up in a ponytail, and put pink pre-wrap around her head, like a head band. Setting her hands on her hips, she waited for Quinn.

Jen sat down, just looking out at the water. Smiling, she glanced at the sun, and back at the water. It seemed to be very uneventful at the beach, which Jen didn't understand. Wasn't this place, popular? Or something?
