Wandering back into Camp life

Mark grinned brighter knowing the pun for Mr.D "well then I daresay i haven't missed much...Now just to try and remember my old routine with my cabinmates..." Mark scratched his head thoughtfully and looked at Iekka "What's your schedule usually like?"

"Hmm, I guess its like everyone else's. Of course with a few substitutions. You know, breakfast, swordsmanship practice in the Arena, some short archery..." Iekka hesitated. "There's pegasi lessons, free choice, and usually for free choice, I go to the fields, along with the rest of Demeter. Do you remember yours?

Mark nodded lightly "Yeah, in the morning is breakfast, metal working with Hephaestus cabin because I like to make my own weapons then arena and more arts and crafts then free time where i usually go and sit by the lake and thats about it"

Iekka brightened up. This kid better smile soon, she thought. "I think you're forgetting the evening! There's dinner you know! Where's your noggin!" Iekka tapped his head and started jogging down the hill. Some time while they were talking, the Hecate kids got free and went away.

Mark smiled and got up and jogged after her "Oh yeah, who can forget dinner is it about that time already?" Mark looked and saw the sun starting to dip down and he mentally hit himself upside the head of course it was about dinner time

"Walk to the pavilion? Or do you want to run?" Iekka had a mischievous smile on her face. She was in a running stance as well. "Race? Walk or run?" She started walking backwards, awaiting his reply.

Mark grinned widely, he hadn't raced in soo long "race!" Mark took off, letting his runners muscles tense and release as he ran faster and faster, he looked back and grinned waiting for her to catch up

Iekka took off, willing the grass under her to become easier to run in. Before long she was just next to him, almost to the pavilion. She could see he queues forming. Her own cabin was just getting to the table. Hermes, of course was still filled.

Mark nodded to her and ran next to her "Race again tomorrow? we could do it during arena training seeing both our cabins have it at the same time" Mark started to slow to a jog as they got closer to the pavillion .

"Sure!" Iekka said inbetween breaths. She reached the pavilion and fell in line with her siblings. She gave Mark a smile and wave before dinner had started.

Mark waved back and got into the long hermes line and he sighed lightly, feeling glad to be back at home where he really belonged. As Mark sat down his favorite food showed up and he grinned; it was a steak cooked rare with a big salad next to it with his mothers homemade dressing. Mark took his plate up nd cut a big juicy part of the steak into the brazier and some of the salad with most of the dressing on it and he smiled hoping his father remembered those times and Mark went back to his seat and started to dig in

Iekka sat with a few of her sister in the middle of their table and started talking about the food. Iekka's plate was filled a variety of greens with a big fat pork chop next to the salad. Green grapes on the edge of her plate practically blended in with the greens. Iekka stood along with her siblings and went over tot he flaming brazier and she threw in her grapes. She murmured in some thank yous and sat back down to eat.

After he was finished eating, and alot of people were trickling down to the campfire Mark got up and went down to the fire with some of his brothers and sisters and they sat down by the campfire and waited as all the other campers trickled in

On the way to the bonfire, Iekka said she was going to sit with a friend somewhere else tonight. She crept over to where Mark was sitting with his siblings. Some of her sisters casually walked behind her. At least she wasn't going to be an oddball. "Hey," she whispered when she sat down next to him.

"Hey" Mark said as he looked at Iekka "What was with the trying to creep up on me? You know being a son of Hermes has its perks against people trying to sneak up on me" He grinned and looked at the campfire, it's yellow flames seemed to turn gold because everyone was happy to be there and Mark looked at her "So, what kind of music do you like?"

"Kind really," Iekka said. "Mostly jazz instrumentals, but anything suits my taste." The fire blazed higher and higher into brighter colors. "So, how much do you remember from all of this?"

Mark smiled and shrugged " I remember all of this, all the times sitting around the campfire pulling jokes and having fun. I remember my girlfriend but I don't know where she is so I don't know but otherwise i remember alot of fun memories here"

Iekka looked around a bit before asking her next question. "So, where have you been, if you've "returned" and stuff?" Her sisters started snickering. Ugh, whatever it was, it was probably just some girly stuff. Otherwise, the bonfire was going pretty well.

Mark looked at her and shrugged "well I remember waking up in the middle of Yellowstone National Park then I made my way back from there just slowly getting my memory back as I trecked along..."

"Anything else? I mean, all of sudden, just Yellow Stone? Anything before that?" Iekka asked. One of her sister's passed her some bread and she nibbled on it slowly. The Apollo cabin was singing merrily with all their voices and instruments. The moon shone brightly as the fire blazed higher.

Mark shook his head "Nope only thing I remember before that was I was on a date with my girlfriend in the city then we came back to camp and went to our cabins and then blackness..." Mark sighed his head hurting slightly still his mind was trying to fully recover

"Oh, too bad. Do you know where she is? I mean, looks like she wasn't with you seeing as you were the only person on the hill." The bonfire ended after a while and the campers were told to head to bed. Iekka got up and started telling her sisters a few things.
