| Bella sat behind the counter of the empty camp store, her blonde hair pulled back in a messy ponytail. Her pair of glasses sat on the bridge of her nose, threatening to fall to the ground and break. In her hand was a copy of the book, Les Misérables translated into Ancient Greek.
Bella missed Devin. After he left camp, she was devastated. She actually became depressed and hardly left her cabin most of the time. It took months for her to feel whole again. Now, she was mildly upset. She had come to work at the store to get her mind off things.
Bella kept a necklace with her at all times. It had a silver "D" on it. Seemed a bit excessive, but she didn't care. She wanted Devin back.
Bella leaned back in her chair and kicked her feet up on the counter, enjoying the book she was reading. | |

Tori walked into the camp store, the bell on the door ringing to signify her entrance. She was in need of another camp shirt, considering she had no idea where her other one went. Tori just wore her everyday clothing now, and she kind of stood out. She didn't want to do that anymore than she needed to. Tori brushed her long dark brown hair out of her face and she went over to the shirt section. There wasn't a great variety of shirts, but there were about a million sizes. Tori grabbed a small adult size, hoping it would fit. She guessed it would, but she hadn't gone shopping in a while.
Tori walked over to the counter, where a girl was reading a book. She looked familiar, but she couldn't figure out who she was. Then, the demigod noted the necklace on her neck. It had a "D" on it. Devin. It was Bella!
She didn't know if she should be happy, or nervous. Tori quickly put the necklace that Devin gave her inside her sweatshirt. She always carried around the necklace that Devin gave her the night she "died". Tori really did miss him. There. Now, maybe Bella wouldn't know who she was. Problem solved. "Um, can I get this, please?" she asked. Tori grabbed some drachmas out of her pocket, ready to pay.

| Bella heard the door's bell jingle. She unsuccessfully tried to put her necklace under her shirt. She tried to hide it. She wasn't one of those people who wore those shirts with the person they loved on it. She couldn't tell who the girl was while she was walking through the store. Then, when she stopped for a t-shirt, she saw her face. Bella quickly inhaled and almost fell back on her chair. Bella fumbled around and tried to look calm, and eventually succeeded. She went back to her book, pretending nothing was wrong, when in fact, something was very wrong.
Bella glanced up at the girl, and pretended she didn't know who she was for a moment. Then she decided that was stupid. "Good choice with the shirt. The one you picked is really comfortable," she commented, like the clerk she acted like she was. Bella fumbled a bit more for change from the cash register. Drachmas, drachmas.
She snapped out of it. Bella was acting stupid, and if she wanted to confront this girl, now was the time. When no one was around, as not to cause any inevitable drama. She stood up, removed her glasses, and pointed at her with them. "You're supposed to be dead," she said. | |

Tori blinked at Bella. At first, nothing came to mind to say. She just hoped that Bella would've kept her act going on , but no."Well, that depends which way you look at the situation..." Tori said with a nod. She had trouble keeping eye contact with the daughter of Athena, so she looked at the counter. She was really regretting coming here. Tori didn't want to live a lie, when that was impossible for her. She just never told people about it.
Tori finally looked at Bella. "Yes, I know." she said slowly. Tori's eyes slowly fell to the counter again. She could see the other demigod's refection in the wood,so it seemed pointless to look at her face. "I didn't mean to lie. I just didn't tell everyone the truth..." Tori said.
She sighed and pulled out her necklace. "I did it for him, you know why Bella." Tori said, looking into her eyes. "I didn't want him to get hurt, or in any trouble because I was being a coward." she said. "Wouldn't you have done the same thing?" Tori asked, her eyes pleading for forgiveness. That was all she really wanted, or needed. She hoped that she hadn't said to much, and confused the daughter of Athena. Tori guessed that wouldn't be the case.
