Well..hello...{OPEN}

Kate laughed as she ran to catch up with Jacklyn. She grabbed part of his leash and pulled it with all her strength. They managed to get Xion to stop. "Where do you think he wants to go so badly?" Kate asking, panting slightly as they struggled to keep Xion still.

"Oh my gods! What an adorable puppy!"

Alexandra fumbled with her camera. She was so excited that it took her a few seconds to turn it on. Finally she got it ready and snapped a picture of the Labrador puppy with the two girls trying to keep it still. A huge smile present on her face, Alex turned to study the picture. She beamed--she captured the cuteness of the puppy on camera. That obviously made her so giddy inside. Then she remembered the two girls struggling to keep the puppy still. She looked up at them, her smile growing wider.

"Er, hi!" Alex said, half-waving at them with one hand as the other held her camera. "Sorry, I just couldn't help myself. That puppy is just. So. Cute. Can I pretty pretty please pet him?" Alex clapped her hands together, her gaze shifting between the two girls. "Please?"

"I don't know. Maybe he's just super hungry?" Jacklyn was out of breath and a bit shaken up. "Anyway, Kate, let's just go get lunch."

Kate frowned. "Aren't you going to let that nice girl over there pat Xion?" she panted. Maybe Jacklyn just hadn't heard her. That would be a logical explanation. Jacklyn didn't seem to be the kind of person who would ignore someone on purpose for no apparent reason. And the girl had been very polite when asking.

"Oh, yeah. Go ahead, you can pet him." Jacklyn said, her breathing starting to settle. She looked at the nice girl with the camera. Finally, with her breathing okay, she walked over to the girl. "Nice to meet you, I'm Jacklyn." She held out her hand.

"Thanks!" Alex crouched on one knee, rolling her camera to the side so that the puppy won't get to reach it. "Aren't you the cutest little thing?" she asked the puppy as she scratched it below its ear.

Alex looked up at Jacklyn, smiling at her. "I'm Alex," she introduced herself as she shook her hand. Alex turned her attention back to the puppy. "Xion, right? I overheard you girls talking about him. He's... he's a lab, isn't he? I'm not too good with the breeds, but I'm pretty sure he's a lab," she paused, remembering that she heard the girls say something about lunch. She got up to her feet quickly, giving the puppy a last pat. "Oops, sorry, you must be starving! I'm coming with you, if you don't mind. I'm pretty hungry myself," Alex said sheepishly, her stomach grumbling to emphasize her point.

"My name's Kate." Kate said. "I'm a daughter of Khione." she added. She was discovering that every time she talked to someomne they usually added their Godly parent in with their name. It did seem like the right thig to do. "And yeah, we were going to get lunch." she said. As the group of three plus one dog started walking to lunch Kate realised she didn't know this girl's Godly parent. "So who's your Godly parent?" she asked curiously.

"Pleased to meet you," Alex told Kate as she started to walk alongside them. She paused for a few moments, hesitating. She wondered how these girls would react. She hoped it was not in the OMG-you're-a-child-of-the-king of gods-style. That was why she usually didn't say her godly parent when she introduced herself, so as not to get that kind of reaction. It was slightly pointless actually, since people just asked her anyway.

"I'm a daughter of Zeus," she said softly, running a hand down her messy hair. She realized that she didn't know who Jacklyn's godly parent was so she turned to her. "How about you?"

"Genuine daughter of Posieden." Jacklyn smiled and made sure Xion didn't run off again. Jacklyn getting quite hungry right now. Her stomach grumbled and screamed. She really needed that hamburger now.

"Doesn't that mean you two are cousins?" Kate asked as they kept walking. She didn't m ind that they were children of Big Three Gods and she wasn't. It sounded like too much trouble to be the child of a Major God anyway. Less monsters attacked you if you were a minor demigod.

Alex shrugged. She hadn't really thought about that. "I guess so," she said, looking up in deep thoughts. Then she laughed as a sudden thought occurred to her. "If that was the case then all of the children of Athena, Apollo, Ares and who-knows-how-many-other-gods are my nieces and nephews," she said, laughing. "Now isn't that nice to hear?"

Kate grinned. "Technically they're only your half nieces and nephews." she reminded Alex. Now she was really glad she wasn't the child of a major God. You could be the niece of someone younger than you. What a disturbing thought. Kate shuddered mentally.

"Well then were one big family." Jacklyn smiled. Xion was starting to get eager again. Jacklyn tugged on his leash and turned to Alex. "So whats it like being a daughter of Zeus. You clearly have lots of power."

"One humongous happy family," Alex corrected Jacklyn, still chuckling a bit. Her smile faded as Jacklyn asked that question. "Well, as surprising as it sounds, I'm not... 'skilled' in being a daughter of Zeus, demigod-wise. All my siblings are way better than me at that stuff. Maybe it's because I don't practice, I don't know."

Alex shifted her gaze to Xion. Gods, what an adorable puppy. She could just walk up to it and squeeze it to death. But she stopped herself, knowing that she could literally squeeze and electrocute it to death, if she didn't keep her excitement in check. Alex sighed to herself. It sucked having a power that you can only mildly control. "What about you two?" she turned to Jacklyn and Kate with a smile on her face.

"Well, me being a daughter of Posieden, I can control ammounts of water. I haven't mastered it yet but, I'm getting there." She shrugged and smiled. Jacklyn ran I hand through her hair, remembering when her aunt tried to drown her. She shuddered. She had never told her mother about that. Jacklyn shook it off and looked at Kate, waiting for her to answer Alex.

"Well." Kate began. "I have a few powers. None of them are really strong though. Firstly I can take moisture out of the air and turn it into ice or snow. Ice is easier because all I have to do is freeze the water. I can form ice weapons which are only a tiny bit weaker than celestial bronze. Obviously I can manipulate ice and snow easily." Here Kate paused for a breath. "I can stand up to absolutely freezing temperatures. So I reckon I could stand in a blizzard and not die from cold exposure." Kate thought for a moment. "I think that's about it." she said finally.

Alex laughed. Their powers were pretty cool. All she could do was generate electricity and have it go out of control as she passed out. That didn't sound good so Alex opted not to mention that. I guess that makes us somewhat like newbies in demigod powers," she said. "Right now I just wish I have a power I can actually control. That's why I don't use it a lot, since it's pretty much dangerous to everyone around me."
