Well..hello...{OPEN}

Jacklyn|Posieden|Garner

Jacklyn picked up the tennis ball and threw it again. Xion(pronounced Zi-on), her black lab puppy, bounded towards it. She was standing infront of the Posieden cabin, waiting for Xion to come back. Jacklyn looked at all the campers laughing and having fun. She wasn't when Xion had gotten back with the tennis ball because she was daydreaming but, he now nudged her leg. She knelt down and picked him up. "Hey buddy! Who's cute? Who's cute? You are!" Jacklyn managed to get the ball out of his mouth and sat down and a bench with him on her lap. His tail was wagging a million miles per minute and he was bouncing around. Jacklyn realized there was a shadow projected onto her body. She looked up and found a pair of eyes looking down at her.

"Can I help you?"

Kate had skipped into the Cabin Courtyard. There were usually loads of people here, she had found. Today was no different. There were lots and lots of people around. That meant that she could definitely make a new friend. Kate had only been here a few days so she didn't know many people. Everyone seemed to be talking so she didn't want to disturb them. That's when Kate spotted a girl sitting on a bench. She had the most adorable little labrador in her lap. Maybe Kate could pat it? Only one way to find out. Kate walked up to the girl and realised that the puppy was even cuter close up. She snapped back to reality when she realised the girl had asked her a question. "Oh, right, sorry." she said cheerfully. "I was just wondering if I could pat your puppy. He's adorable!"

"Yeah, go ahead! His name is Xion. He's 4 months old." Jacklyn smiled and made room on the bench for the girl. "So, whats your name?" She took the tennis ball off the bench and started to toss it up in the air. The girl seemed really nice and sweet. A new friend for Jacklyn. Considering Jacklyn didn't have any, it would be her first. "I'm a bit weird. Scratch that. I'm weird." She thought.

Kate sat down happily and reached out her hand. She let Xion sniff it before proceeding to scratch him behind the ears. He seemed to like that, although most dogs did. Kate had never had a dog of her own, but she'd always wanted one. "My name's Kate" she said, to answer the girl's question. "What's yours?" Kate hadn't seen this girl around the Khione cabin, so she she probably wasn't a Khione kid.

"Jacklyn Garner. Daughter of Posieden." She held her hand out for a shake. Xion's tail was wagging super fast. "Hmm, Xion likes Kate. Good." Jacklyn smiled. "So who's your god parent." She said, looking around at the Omega of cabins.

"My Godly parent is Khione." Kate said. Usually people thought that Khione kids had to be cold because their mother was the Godess of snow. Granted, some were cold and distant, but definitely not all of them. Kate was trying to make as many friends as she could to try and prove that stereotype wrong. She shook Jacklyn's hand with her hand that she wasn't using to scratch Xion. "Are there many children of Poseidon?" she asked curiously. There might be, because Poseidon's one of the Big Three. But there also could only be a few. Maybe they were too powerful to be safe or something.

"Theres around 40 that I know of...I haven't met many people." Jacklyn ran her hand through her red, black and brown hair. She started to twist the spacer in her ear. It was quite uncomfortable. Jacklyn needed a new pair. She pulled some string out of her ripped jeans and twirled it up in a ball. She tended to fiddle with things when she spoke with people.

Outfit

Kate nodded thoughtfully. "I think there's over 40 in the Khione Cabin." she said. Honestly, Kate didn't actually know. She hadn't taken the time to count everyone as of yet. She switched hand to pat Xion with. She didn't want to disappoint him by stopping, but her hand was getting sore. The easiest solution was to simply change hands.

"So, where you from? I'm from Sacramento, California." Jacklyn pulled a bag of gummy worms, her favorite candy, out of her pocket. "Want some?" She opened the zip-lock bag and took a red and blue worm out, sticking it in her mouth.

"Oooh. Yes please." Kate said, accepting a gummy worm. She chewed it happily. Kate loved gummy worms, but she hadn't had them in ages. "I'm from New York." she said once she had finished her gummy worm. Kate liked New York; it was a nice place. Well, she thought so anyway. :Is it nice in Sacramento?" she asked. Kate had never been there before.

"Yeah. It's always warm and sunny. Lots of tanning and swimming. I use to live in Perdido Beach, California with my aunt before that. Some nucleur problem and my mom brought me back to Sacramento." I shrugged. "All in all, it's nice. Theres alot of shopping malls and kiosks. If you ever go, never take a cab. The drivers are rude, disgusting and filthy."

"Ummm okay."Kate said. She didn't like cabs anyway. Most of them smelt like ciggarettes or something and it was disgusting. "I probably won't go there anyway." she admitted. "I love this place, why would I want to leave?"

"I don't know. This is like my favorite place in the world. Some many people and fun activities. The only thing that is a downside is the monsters." Jacklyn took another gummy worm and handed it to Kate. She took one for herself and bit its head off. Xion was practically jumping up and down. His tongue was sticking out to one side and his tail was slapping the bench. I laughed and picked my bottle of coke off the ground, taking a sip.

Kate finished her second gummy worm and nodded in agreement to Jacklyn's statement. "Well, the monsters are bad." she said. "But they can't get in here accidentally. So they don't really bother me." The only time monsters would bother a demigod was if they were outside camp.

"Yeah, I just find hellhound plain creepy. What monster scares you the most?" Jacklyn gave Xion a gummy worm. She swallowed it right away. Who knew dogs liked candy? Jacklyn scratched Xion behind the ears. He barked then hopped off the bench, tennis ball in his mouth.

"I don't actually know." Kate said thoughtfully. "I haven't seen all the monsters so at the moment I don't know which ones scares me the most." Kate thought hard. "Out of the ones I've seen I'd say the hellhound is the scariest as well." Mainly because they were huge. And pitch black. A big wall of shadow running towards you. Very scary indeed.

Jacklyn took the ball from Xion and threw it about 20 feet away. He bounded across the courtyard. "You miss your family?." Jacklyn pulled a small bic lighter out of her pocket. She kept on flicking it on and off. But, when she flicked it on, instead of fire, there was a flame of water. She had found it under the matress in her cabin. She never understood it.

Kate gave a snort of bitter laughter. "No way!" she exclaimed. "I wasn't chased away from my home. I ran away." She scowled as she thought of her family. Kate didn't like to talk about them much for obvious reasons. "Do you miss your family?" she asked, in attempt to draw the conversation away from herself.

"Yeah, just my mom. She has it hard. She can't pay the bills..." Jacklyn ate another gummy worm and offered one to Kate. "Wanna go get some lunch? I'm a bit hungry." I got up and picked up Xion, taking the tennis ball off the ground also. She went back to the bench and sat next to Kate again.

Kate accepted her third worm and ate it immediately. She was sort of addicted to them. "Yeah. Sure." she said to answer Jacklyn's question. Kate had only just realized how hungry she was. No wonder she had been gobbling down gummy worms.

"Okay. I'm in the mood for a hamburger and onion rings. Hope they have some." Jacklyn put on Xion's leash and put the tennis ball in her pocket. She ate the last gummy worm and stuffed the bag in her pocket also.

Kate stood up. She stretched her arms over her head as Jacklyn put the leash on Xion. "They might have some." she said to her. Kate was hoping for something healthier. She only liked sweet junk food. So candy basically. She didn't like fatty stuff like fries or hamburgers.

"I hope so." Jacklyn started to actually daydream about food. Not seafood though, she was allergic to that, as ironic as it is. Xion was hopping along happily awaiting his food. Jacklyn almost tripped over a sheild until she snapped out of her daydream. "That was close." She said a bit shaky.

Kate smiled at Jacklyn's reaction to almost falling over. "I always do that." she said cheerfully. "Except usually there isn't anything to trip over. I just fall over my own feet." Sadly that was the truth. Kate could be terribly clumsy at times.

Jacklyn couldn't help but laugh a bit. "Same." Jacklyn was terribly clumsy. Xion was now pulling me with his leash. Soon I was 10 feet infront of Kate. "Help me Kate!" For a puppy that small he was suprisingly strong.
