I continue walking until we are almost at the Apollo cabins. "So tell me about yourself, bro."

I sigh. "There aint much to tell. I spent all my life here, Chiron says i was dropped off at the border as a baby, ive been at camp. never knew mom, never lived outside the valley.I spent the time from when i could walk to the day i was claimed with Hermes cabin. Ive trained endlessly. Now, i'm one of the oldest demigods here, and the most handsome. haha joking on that last part. I don't know what else to say"

I smile at his story. That's so much simpler than mine. But that's interesting. So camp truly is your home.

I nod. "yeah. lets here your story."

I walk into the courtyard,seeing nobody anywhere else. I sigh boredly(gr?) and sit in the grass,looking over each cabin.

I walked to the creek. "Something's wrong..."

I sigh and try to keep smiling, unsuccessfully. Mine's more of a tragedy. I don't want you to have to deal with that.

I frown. "Hey, you're my sister. I wanna know."

I sigh and take a deep breath. I pull my hair back into a neat ponytail and sit down at a bench.

I sit down next to her. "You can tell me."

I close my eyes and push the memories forward, as painful as being hit by a train. I try to stay strong for Seth. I had a twin named Emily.

I see the struggle in her face. "You dont have to tell me if it hurts so bad"

No, you need to know. It will help you understand me a little better. I just need a second. I force out a weak smile, feeling better now. We were twins. We lived together with my mother until we were seven. I remember her completely, even today. We thought that our dad was my mom's new husband. We never doubted it for a moment. I take a deep breath and exhale, knowing that it's not going to get any easier telling the story. Then, IT happened.

I nodded. "It?'

I cough and clear my throat. Well, one day, Emily and I were hanging out in our front yard, playing football with the neighborhood kids, like we did almost every day, and my mom and 'dad,' I put air quotes around the word, "dad," were sitting on the porch, watching us. All of a sudden, Michael, a friend, threw the ball at Emily, and she got nailed in the stomach. It really wasn't that bad, but she just got really mad. I had never seen her like that before. I shudder at the memory of that fateful day. She took the football, and it began glowing. It didn't stop there. It kept getting brighter and brighter until it was on fire. She chucked it at Mike, who ducked, thank the gods, and it landed on the roof next door. The whole place caught fire and burned down in minutes. I just watched in amazement and horror. I take another breath and try not to let my voice crack. They called it vandalism for the press- my parents. My mom's face was just indescribable, like she knew something like this would happen, but she wished it wouldn't. I sniff and compose myself quickly. She was sent away that day. I didn't even get to say goodbye. I was told never to speak her name again, ever. I was told to forget her and that day. It was like trying to forget part of myself. Emily was adopted by some other family three thousand miles away, somewhere in Washington. I haven't seen her since that day. I look away and begin to break down for the first time in years.

I hug her tight. "Im so sorry. I shouldnt have asked." my eyes get wide. "Is she a half-blood? we can get Chiron to send a satyr after her, we can..."

I smile at his determination and laugh once, still teary-eyed for the first time in a long time. Seth, I really appreciate your enthusiasm, but it's already been done. When I started being followed and attacked b monsters, a satyr was sent for Emily. I take another deep breath as I clear my throat. We were both seven, Seth. That was over eight years ago. I don't think either of them made it. Emily's dead, Seth.

I immediately felt really bad. "I'm so sorry"

Don't be. You were trying to help. I only found out when I came to camp that they sent out a satyr for Em. Chiron pulled me aside almost the second I got here to tell me. They all tried. Of course I miss her, though. But I've been forbidden to even speak of my sister my entire life. If someone asked my- I curse under my breath at the mention of her- mother how many children she had, she'd always answer 'one.'

I smile and side-hug him. Thanks, Seth. I really appreciate it.
