The Courtyard

I see a few kids in the courtyard. One of them looks pretty upset. I figure they won'tt want a new boy around if they're felling bad so I leave quickly.

Having emerged from the Apollo Cabin after Alexia, I head for the center of the courtyard. "Stand back. I told my friends I'd do this when I got back, so they know i'm here." made sure no one was in range and unsheathed his whip, cracking it in front of him, in a quick flash of bronze. I hold it in my hands.

I step back and let him do his thing.

I walk oer to Alexia. "Pick a cabin, my dear sister. I have friends in all of them. I don't want to stay long, just walk by and say hello. Anything you want to do after? How long you been here?"

I laugh and put my hand over his mouth. "Please, my dear brother. Shut up." I say jokingly. "I don't care. I"m yours all day. And what do you mean 'how long have I been here?' Camp?"

I pull her hand away from my mouth and laugh in a joking manner. "So much for a warm welcome. I meant to ask if you are a year-rounder like i am. I figured you'd been here about the same time as the time Dad claimed you. Unless you were stuck in Hermes Cabin. Come on."

I walk by Zeus and Hera's Cabins, yelling greetings inside from the Courtyard, and head down the male god side, doing the same.

I follow him and run a few yards ahead. "Well, it's complicated. I was in the Hermes cabin for less than a day before I actually looked at the engraving on the guitar."

I laugh. "Oh, that's nice Alexia!" As I finish the male god side, I round to the goddess' cabins, shouting my greetings to their sons and daughters. As I greet the Aphrodite Cabin, I catch the scent of perfume, and stop in my tracks, breathing heavily.

I slap him lightly and roll my eyes as he greets the Aphrodite cabin. "You don't know the half of it." I whisper under my breath.

I am jolted back into my right mind, just in time to hear her mutter. "Say something?" I move to the other cabins, greeting them. When I was done, I turn back to Alexia. "Where to? Lead the way."

I smirk at her, a gleam in my eye. I crack my whip next t her, just far enough away it doesn't hurt her. I take off running towards the lake.

"Not fair, Seth!" I yell. I start running, fast as a galloping horse. I catch up to him and laugh.

As fast as I was, i didn't make it out of the courtyard before she caught up. I bent over, holding my knees, tired. "Where'd you learn to get so fast? Running from boys?"

OOC: i will be back later. gotta go

I keep running and then circle back to him. "Seaview football team, quarterback, from grade six to nine." I say proudly.

I smile. "That's great! I think boys had something to do with it though"

I laugh again. "I am not that kind of girl. I don't get involved in relationships easily. I need all potential dates to know that I could kick their butts much faster than they could kick mine."

I clap her on the shoulder. "Course you could! You're a daughter of Apollo! That alone should be enough. It's really great that you played football. Anything else I should know?"

I think for a moment and look down and take a dramatic breath. "My full name is Alexia Logan Carter. but I hate my last name because it reminds me of my mom, I have a twin sister-" I was glad that it felt natural to say "have" as opposed to "had." It was still painful to think of her. I flinch a little, thinking of her. "-I'm a vegetarian, I,obviously, love guitar and singing, I can run really fast, and my favorite sport is football!" I sigh dramatically again. "And scene."

I frown and kick the ground. "I-.. I didn't mean to bring up bad memories... I feel bad now."

I let out a weak smile. "I'm sorry. You don't want to hear about my sister." I look down and take a silent deep breath to keep strong.

I smile. "Hey, what say we go to the beach? I could use a swim."

I smirk again. I start running to the beach.

I smile and run after her.
