"I remembered black skies, the lightning all around me I remembered each flash, as time began to blur Like a startling sign that fate had finally found me And your voice was all I heard that I get what I deserve" Laying on my back on the gravel, I had my arms spread out, and I looked somewhat dead. My eyes were closed, and I clutched the ground tightly, as if I were to fall off. Sighing, I transferred some of my energy (that built up gradually) into the gravel. it dispersed quickly. Man, why am I not dead? I should have died of a stroke a long time ago. Anyways, my doctor suggested that I meditate, or release my energy to avoid stroke. I'm still young, I need to live, right? My long brown hair was spread out on the ground, and I turned my head. Blinking slowly, I gazed at Shane. Hepheastus cabin leader. Man, that cabin was just a place for danger to happen. If I took in too much electricity, I tend to set things on fire. Man, THAT was a bad day for me.
"What are you doing here?" I answered in a rude tone. It was fairly obvious that I was tired. Weak, not up to my normal self. I needed Zan. She would cheer me up. Or maybe if I dyed my hair black and yellow? Got a few tattoos, maybe. Nah, that wouldn't work. I already have enough of a trouble trying to hide the tattoo of birds on my calf. Tattoo's were just a nice experience. Like weed, but for half bloods. It inserted power and electricity into your body, and gave you a nice tingly thrill. It was amazing. For me, at least.

| Down! Here Comes The Sound! Everybody Pound Your Feet...Shane Gulliver CliftonI hurriedly searched the area. I looked behind trees, rocks, in murky water, everywhere except the actual lake. Water and me... just didn't go together. I've never learned how to swim because every time I try to, the water almost tries to drown me. Never works. Not gonna try now. I heard a voice coming to the right and I looked to the source of it. Dunno who she is, but she is hot. I looked at the position she was in. I held back a snicker. Heheheheheh... man-childness engage. "Uhhh. Oh. Ohai, you haven't... possibly seen some mechanical... flying machine have you? I've seemed to misplaced it," I asked, looking out over the lake. In other words, I fell out of the flying machine that I was using a hundred feet or more over the air, landed in the trees, calculated where it would land, and made my way here. THird time in the last three weeks this has happened. "No? Yeah most people answer that way..." I muttered before seeing something pop out of the water in the middle of the lake. Aw crap. There it is. I'm going to have to start from scratch. I saw it disappear in the waters for the final time. "Well... then can you tell me the fastest way to go to camp? I kinda have to... do some stuff," I avoided the subject about me being a cabin leader. I don't like people judging me on my status. ...To This Phenomenon! | |

"I remembered black skies, the lightning all around me I remembered each flash, as time began to blur Like a startling sign that fate had finally found me And your voice was all I heard that I get what I deserve" Flying mechanical machine? Must've gone into the water. Well, the water's not going to be safe with an electronical device in there. And I'M not going in there. Sitting up and leaning on my arms, I smoothed down my hair with a hand, and gazed out at the water. Sure enough, there was a small machine in the water. Bobbing up and down on the surface, risking sinking. The closest way to camp? He's a cabin leader, right? You've got to be kidding me. I smiled a bit, and rubbed my temples. "You're kidding me, right? I can just get it for you." I said grimly. Reaching out to pull up my jeans legs, I slipped off my boots and socks, and rolled up the cuffs of my shirt. "You better pay me back for this."
And on that note, I headed into the water. It was warmer than usual, due to the electric current. It was pretty deep in there. When I reached it, I was nearly up to my shoulders in water. So much for a new shirt. Grabbing the... horse, I felt something move under my feet. Snails. Ew. A shiver went up my spine, and so did a ripple of electricity in the water. Thank the Gods that water made everything lighter. With the device in my hand, I shuffled my way back to shore, the ends of my hair dripping wet. "This is yours."

| Opal Perry Iris
Cold. That's all Opal really noticed around camp anymore. The inconvenient weather didn't do well to her liking. Who wanted to go swimming in this weather anyway? No one. So why did this even need to exist? Cold, that is. Freezing, bitter, air. Utterly pointless. And because of te pointless happening Opal decided it wasn't right to take that chance of getting Hypothermia, or whatever that sickness was.
Apparently however, there was a girl who had decided that the weather meant nothing and that going into the water was putting her at any risk what-so-ever. Opal, immediately feeling bad for the girl, cringed at the thought of sufferjng from that much cold. Of course, Opal tended to exagerate so her opinion rarely mattered.
As she walked along the length of the lake though she noticed thw girl coming out with some...device. Kind pf curious about what it was, she steadied her pace into a sure one, letting her old sneakers kick up whatever they may. Opal reached whete the girl stood now noticing the boy to. "What," She said curiously, gazing at the machanical device. "Is that?"

| Down! Here Comes The Sound! Everybody Pound Your Feet...Shane Gulliver Clifton"Oh... thanks," I grabbed my flying machine and stumbled back a few steps. Damn. It's heavier than I reme-Oh yeah. It has water in it... Ahaaaa...
I tried to not to look at the girl for too long, she's kinda wet and uh... see through. I'm just not that good with girls. I try to talk to them, but I either break out into a pervy laugh or start passing after every word I say. So I stick to short phrases that can be paused so I can get on with my day.
A voice came from behind me and I almost froze up. Two girls. Girls. As in plural. I swallowed before turning around. Ohhh... she's hot... ohhhh...
"Uh uh uh..." I tried to get the words out but come on, two hot girls both looking at me. It's different if it's Hephaestus girls, because they're my sisters... but these ain't my sisters.
"Flying... machine," ...To This Phenomenon!

"I remembered black skies, the lightning all around me I remembered each flash, as time began to blur Like a startling sign that fate had finally found me And your voice was all I heard that I get what I deserve" As he stuttered his words, I laughed a bit, and tucked my wet hair back. I didn't notice why he was so awkward around Opal and I until I looked down. My shirt was see through. Yet thank the Gods I was wearing a skin colored bra underneath it. If it had been white I would be doomed! Taking a breath of relief, I closed my eyes, taking another breath. Hanging my head low, I gazed back up at Opal. Well, he could not notice my shirt was see through? "Ummmm. Do you have a jacket I can borrow?" I said, the cold really getting to me. Dammit, why did I go in the water in the first place? Hugging my arms, I smiled at Shane and looked back at my bare feet. "I'm Baylee, by the way. Baylee McCarnille, if you haven't heard of me." I introduced myself to Shane, but Opal probably already knew me.
"And by the way, it's probably not a good idea to go into the water."

| Down! Here Comes The Sound! Everybody Pound Your Feet...Shane Gulliver Clifton"Uh. Uh. Uh... yeah," I said and took off my jacket. It had a couple holes in it from the fall... and some branches... and I think I might have collapsed on hellhound-you know what? That's not really important right now. I put it around her shoulders and got to a safe distance. Safe from what? Not sure yet, but last time I tried to get close to a woman.. I shuddered before turning back to the girls.
Okay... okay they introduced themselves. Time to think. How to, at least, look confident so I can get through a small conversation so I can get back to Andrew and have some alone time. Alright. Picture them naked? Nope, nope. That wouldn't work. Be yourself? No, that's total bullcrap. Hmm.. Relax? Isn't that what I'm trying to do? Act like they're your cousins? Guys that like football, chug mountain dew, and go to frat parties? Nope. Definitely not. Try to act like James Bond? No... that guy's kind of a douche...
"Hey. I'm Shane. How are you guys doing?" I asked without stuttering or pausing. Huh. Well that worked. ...To This Phenomenon!

"I remembered black skies, the lightning all around me I remembered each flash, as time began to blur Like a startling sign that fate had finally found me And your voice was all I heard that I get what I deserve" Taking the jacket and hugging it around my shoulders, I smiled quickly at him, and closed my eyes. Shivering a little bit, I glanced into his eyes for a moment. How was my day? Boring. Meaningless. Cold. Did I mention boring? Well, a little lie couldn't hurt. "It was great, yours?" I smiled fakely at him. Well, we had nothing to do here. It was still mid-day, and there was a terribly awkward silence between us. Rolling my head around, I sat down criss cross almost suddenly. The sand around my legs flew everywhere, and I folded my hands over my thighs. (mainly because my shorts were riding up and i didn't want to flash anybody)

| Down! Here Comes The Sound! Everybody Pound Your Feet...Shane Gulliver Clifton"Ah..." I remarked on both of their statements. Aw damn...
Well that's all I had. I'm kinda... not good with girls. Never have been. Sort of a... selective mute. I put my hands behind me, clasping them together as I kicked the dirt, making a small cloud of dust. Uhm... er... okay my friend showed me that video on the internet... what would the guy say now? I'm here to clean your pipes? No... no... that won't work...
"Uhhhhh... clean... pipes..." I sputtered out like a moron. ...To This Phenomenon!

| Down! Here Comes The Sound! Everybody Pound Your Feet...Shane Gulliver CliftonActually, that wasn't supposed to come out at all. Problem with that? Can't say anything about it. I gulped down the spit in my mouth. Mmm... okay this is gonna make me seem like a total dork or it would make the girls pity me. Either way I don't like it. I ripped a notepad and pen out of my pocket and quickly scribbled down some words. I showed it to them, mainly Opal.
'Wasn't supposed to come out. Sorry. Nervous around girls... Sorry'
I kept the notepad close by incase I needed it. I crossed out the words and looked up at the girls, waiting to be laughed at. ...To This Phenomenon!

| Down! Here Comes The Sound! Everybody Pound Your Feet...Shane Gulliver CliftonI blinked a couple times. Someone who understood? Or at least, didn't care about it?... hot. I scribbled out her words and wrote something else and showed it to her.
'Awesome. So uh. I kinda gotta go. Cabin Leader junk. Co-Cabin Leader's riding up my arse'
I slipped the notepad back into my pocket along with the pen and managed a small smile. ...To This Phenomenon!
