"Don't mind her, Michael," I say, pausing in my floor plan and turning to face him. "As you must know, we Athena kids are very...uhh, what's the word? Ah, obstinated. She obviously wanted to say hi to that girl, so she did." I realize I haven't introduced myself yet, so I stick out my hand and say, "Aelia."

"Oh...well I'm new and I...uhh...I'm confused." And apparently not very articulate. Oh gods, she probably thinks I'm a geek, why am I so stupid in front of pretty girls?

I did what she said and chose a bunk that looked free. I set down Athena's dog bed and said,"Stay. Good girl." I scratched her behind the ears and walked to the arena.

I hop down from my bunk and say, "Awww, she's adorable." I scratch behind her ears.

I walk in sleepwalking and holding a cat,i crash down on the bed."This seems like a nice place,mind if i bunk here miss?"I say.

I sat day-dreaming for a few minutes and when I look up I see more people in the room. Jumping back a little, I look around. Ok, so we have 3 more girls and 2 guys... My siblings. Ok, you need to calm down. This isn't that big of a deal. Just be nice, I think to myself as I begin to walk over the group of people. I shyly say, "Um... Hello." I stand there quietly as I wait for someone to respond. I might as well get to know one of them.

"Hi." I said to the girl. She looked shy. I put my hand out and said,"My name is Michael Armstrong, son of, well I think you know. And this here," I said reaching down to scratch Athena's belly. "This is Athena. The dog, not the godess."

I smile at the boy and shake his outstretched hand. "Hello Michael. I'm Valkyrie, but you can call me Val if you want." I release Michael's hand and look down at the dog. She had her tongue wagging out. I giggled as I knelt before the animal and scratched behind her ears. I look up at Michael and say, "She's so sweet." I smile at him and turn my attention back on the dog.

"Mom gave her to me for my 14th birthday." I said as Val knelt down and scratched Athena on the head. "So...is this your first year?" I ask.

I walk in knocking sortly. " Umm.. Uhh.. Does anyone have a good book I could barrow?' I ask in a vioce just above a wisper.

"I have one!" I said. I pulled out my favortie book on myths. "If you like greek myths, wich I'm sure you do, you'll love this." I said handing her The Illiad.

I kept petting Athena on the head as I answered. "Ya. I had only recently found out about...Mom." The word "mom" sounded weird coming from my mouth. I shook my head slightly and turned my attention back to Michael.

I laughed and said, "Haha! This is true." I pet Athena a couple more times then stood. "As you can probably tell, I'm not exactly used to...everything yet," I said quietly.

I chuckle without humor. " Muse of history." I say looking down. Ok I admit I'm mad that Dad met Clio. All she did was make me a geek and have disorders. If they hadn't met and Dad met a nice,kind mortal lady my life would be better.

"That's cool, man." I said. "I'm pretty sure all of us love history in here." I said. In fact in school when we learned about anicent greece for the whole semester it was the only class I had an A in.
