Athena's Cabin

I walk in and sit on my bed huffing.

I walk into the bunk and sit on my bed, sighing. Life has been boring ever since Lavvie and Andy left. Andy is brave, deciding to go out of camp for good whilst being a daughter of the Big Three. I would never have that kind of guts.

I twist a strand of my hair around.

I walk out of the bathroom, steam pouring out of the bathroom, which could have been mistaken for the Oracles mist if it was inside the Aphrodite cabin. My long blonde hair was tied up in a towel wrap and I was wearing comfy pajamas my father gave me before I left. I walked over to my bunk and sat down, making the bunk rattle. A young girl was sitting on a bunk...Just sitting there, not doing anything.

I walk over to the girl. "Hello. I'm Liliana Brooks, nice to meet you." I greet her in a friendly tone. I hold out my hand in hope for her to shake it.

"Hey, I'm Aelia," I say, kind of distracted.

"Hi. I'm Audrey." I say looking at the people in front of me. I couldn't believe I had the nerve to even say some thing to anyone I'd always been so shy. It was hard for me to make friends it's not that I'm mean it's just... I don't know I seem mean because I barely talk to anyone.

I stare at the girl with a warm smile spread across my face. She was obviously distracted, so of course as a good friend I asked what she was looking at. "Well...Uhm...What are you looking at, Aelia?"

I was thinking the same thing, but of course I didn't say anything. Oh my Gods I really wanted to know!

"Nothing in particular. It's what I'm thinking about that's distracting me so much," I said, turning away from the wall and finally facing Liliana.

"Hi Stephanie!" I say. Stephanie has been one of my bffs since Kindergarten!

"Er, okay!" I say. I've always wondered what people are thinking. It could be something very intresting, or something as bland as these bunk beds. It's silent for a long time. I turn to slightly face the two girls who appear to be chatting.

I lie back on my bed, and start absent-mindedly sketching a floor plan for a museum in the air with my finger.

Hm... Perhaps she isn't in a good mood to chat. I guess I'll have to try another time... I think. I sit down on my bed and stare at the cracks on the ceiling. I have been thinking about a new design for this cabin, but I'm not sure what it should look like...

"Uh, Stephi I, uh, gotta do something." I say. I look at the girl, I think named Liliana, sitting on her bed. She seemed lonely. I think. That's why I got all the courage to just be nice and talk to her. " Hi I'm Audrey, uh, if you didn't know, uh not to be mean, but er- It's just I've been here for three years and uh..." I ran out of words. It hasn't been the first time. I feel so dumb sometimes.

I was just thinking of the perfect plan when some kids interrupted my thoughts. "Uh...Hey guys? I'm Liliana Brooks, call me Liliana or Lili please. Nice to meet you Michael, and you too Audrey!" I greet, a little grumpy. They made me lose my thoughts! Oh well, I could always use some help in creating blueprints for remodeling the cabin. "Michael! Please don't leave! I have something to tell you!" I shout, standing up, just in case if he didn't want to come.
