Blood and fruits (Open)

Blythe was bored. Camp was fun and all, but sometimes there were periods when there was emptiness. So here she was, mindlessly cutting herself with a dagger. Blood dripped from her fingers as she plucked a strawberry and ate it. It contrasted greatly against her pale skin, just like her blue and green eyes. Quietly, she hummed Sliver by Nirvana.

Blythe stopped and held her dagger at the ready. It was still stained with her blood. Quietly, she crouched in a defensive position. But she almost dropped her stance and dagger when she saw the intruder. It was a boy, a bit younger than her, but he was different. In a good way. Straightening, Blythe did nothing to indicate her presence.

Blythe waved back, and greeted him warmly. "I'm Blythe, daughter of Janus. But you can call me Bly." She quietly followed the boy, having nothing better to do. "What brings you too the fields, fellow camper?" she inquired.

Blythe tried hard not to blush. But to no avail- she felt the flush creep onto her cheeks. "No need for the formalities," she replied, seating herself onto the ground. "If I didn't know better, I'd say you're a child of Apollo. The kids over there are snobby, though. Who are you the son of?" Blythe was always straightforward like that. Speaking, acting, and thinking were all done together. As she reached out to et another strawberry, she realized that there was blood on her fingertips and wrists. Silently cursing her mindlessness, she wiped it on her shirt and took out her purple key. SHe opened a door in the air and retrieved a roll of bandages, which she wrapped around her hand.

Blythe blushed even more fiercely as Wade flirted with her. "Muse. You are the son of a muse, Mister Handsome. Better than Apollo, I'd say," she retorted with a soft smile. Might as well play along. She was actually sickened, because she had read his choices, which was close to reading his mind. She hated invading people's privacy. She had felt that pain before.

"Better now that you're here, dearest," she replied, smiling sweetly. Blythe planned on keeping the front until Wade stopped. Quietly, she sung a tune she recalled from her first week.
"Urania, o'er her star-bespangled lyre,
With touch of majesty diffused her soul;
A thousand tones, that in the breast inspire,
Exalted feelings, o er the wires'gan roll—
How at the call of Jove the mist unfurled,
And o'er the swelling vault—the glowing sky,
The new-born stars hung out their lamps on high,
And rolled their mighty orbs to music's sweetest sound."
Blythe had knack for remembering songs, as her brother did with lectures. Silently, she fixed her bandage, which was soaked in her blood. Who knew she could bleed this much? She tore off a piece of her shirt and wrapped her hand even further, shivering. Blythe was immune to the heat, not to the cold.

Blythe blushed, but pushed him back, holding her dagger to his throat. Her lips softly caressed his cheek as she whispered into hiss ear," You'd do best not to do that again, Wade." She barely knew him, and yet here he was, kissing her. Blythe did not tolerate those kind of things. The dagger receded from his throat.

Blythe, puzzled, ran a hand through her hair. "You should expect that from a daughter of Janus. I could have enjoyed that kiss, if we'd known each other better. But sadly, we are just acquaintances." She sat quietly, which was odd for her, because she was always in a good mood and bursting with energy. A sing could be good for the daughter of Janus...

Blythe did not fight him off this time. She just smiled and nodded. "Is that song about me? Because I would enjoy repaying an insult that you inflicted." Gods. She sounded like her brother. Looking askance at Wade, she lay among the strawberries, tired and weary.

Blythe let out a low hiss, and waited. A few minutes later, a dog trotted towards her, dragging a guitar case along. "Thanks, Ruf," she mummured, petting the dog. Shetuned her Gibson Dove- a last present from her mother. Her mother was in the hospital, so anything Blythe got from her was treated like treasure, which in a way, it was.

The daughter of Janus suppressed the urge to say 'Like you, Wade,' when he commented on his song. There was no denying that she was drawn to him. Clearing her throat, she asked, "Mind if I, um, play a few chords of your song?" She glanced at the paper he had scrawled on. She hadn't played a song in a while.

"You talk too much, Wade," Blythe laughed. But she put her instrument down and traipsed over to where Wade sat. Sitting down, she leaned in. "Anything that makes you happy," she whispered. She kissed him, letting herself enjoy the moment. When she slowly parted, she smiled. "Now let's see if I can sing and play at the same time, shall we?"

Blythe's eyes widened as Wade pulled her in. She did not object. Wade made her lose herself in an odd, controlled way. It was pleasurable, though. "Anything that makes you happy, Wade," she repeated softly, her smile still on her face. She took her precious guitar from him, lingering for moment, her hand on his. "Let's see the perfect song the perfect boy made."
