Favourite Fruits (Kyrian)

Kat walked along the edge of the large strawberry patch but her mind was elsewhere, she was still trying to process all that had happened this past week. Her being a demigod to who knows what god or godess, her father being ripped apart before her very eyes but mainly that the monsters only thought to be nightmares, were real.

She tilted her head to look at a rather young boy crouching down to fill a basket full of plump looking strawberries and smiled to herself, she sure could use a snack. Noticing a basket at her feet she knelt down and brushed the dirt from it before reaching over to the nearest patch of strawberries and plucking one, putting it to her full lips she took a bite and her eyes glazed over in delight, the fruit here always tasted better then the fruit she ate before she came here, probably because some of the children here were sons and daughters of a godess responcible for farming. Kat then proceeded to focus her thoughts on filling her basket full of one of her favourite fruits.

Phil was lounging amongst the strawberry bushes. He had just finished sewing the seeds of a new row of plants and he was exhausted. It was a complete difference from most other days in the fields, most days he would be mentally exhausted from over use of his chlorokinetic abilities. The gift of his grandmother wasn't as strong in him as it was in her children. It was a shame that Phil's talent came in restoring objects to their original worth.

Phil let out happy sigh, the physical ache was a welcome change. With his eyes closed he reached out and plucked a strawberry off a vine. He devoured the succulent fruit in one bite.
Juices dribbled out of the corners of his mouth, he wiped it away with the back of his hand and swallowed the fruit. "ah this is the life for me" he mused allowed, plucking another strawberry from a vine.

Kat had finished filling her woven basket with the delicious fruit and stood these will be perfect" she laughed and stood, looking down at the now empty patch she had just picked. She shrugged and started to make her way back to camp when out of the corner of her eye she noticed a boy with curley light brown hair, and a cheeky grin, staring at her, Kat was about to ask what he was looking at when she took a step forward and a peice of almost seethrough rope caught on her legs and tripped her up, strawberries from her basket went all over the ground and she saw that the boy she had just saw was laughing at her "now look what i've done" she sighed and didn't pay any attention to the boy laughing, instead her gaze fell on a boy who what she first noticed was the deep shade of green his eyes presented. After a bit she realised she was staring and blushes a light shade of pink and quickly averted her gaze down to the rope around her ankles, she sat up and quickly tried to unravel the rope.

Phil's eyes shot open as he heard the laughter. He was not happy having his rest interrupted by little twerps, curly was going to get what was coming to him. He was about to exuded most of his power to make the plants chase after the little squirt but when he caught sight of the girl he held off. It was better to appear composed in front of the fairer sex, they tended to be nicer when they believed you had a brain.

" Kid scram, return to your cabin or ill make sure your dinner wont agree with you" Phil said through clenched teeth. Hopefully the kid would leave, the girl on the other hand could stay. With her rosy cheeks he could tell the conversation may be interesting to have. Though Phil was kind of socially awkward he did in fact like to talk to people one on one, large crowds were another thing all together. " You alright Ms?" he asked her.

The kid decided that the man wasn't kidding around and quickly scrambled away without so much as a second glance at them.

Kat finally managed to undo the rope and free her legs and threw the rope away "I'm fine, these brats have just been pranking me since I got here, it gets really annoying" she sighed, slightly annoyed and got on her knees to start picking up the dropped fruit, placing it back in the basket before looking back up at him smiling slightly, the blush on her cheeks now just a memory. She stood up and brushed herself off when she felt her hands touch something wet on her lower leg, confused she lifted her hand to her face and realised it was blood Guess I must have fell on something sharp she mused looking down at a fairly deep cut just below her knee, until she noticed it she didn't feel any pain but now that she knew it was there it started to sting. She realised that standing up was only making the blood drip down to her ankle and so she sat down and inspected the wound some more "you wouldn't happen to have a bandage or cloth on you, would you?" she asked hopefully but doubted it.

Phil shook his head in the negative, he never carried bandages. He he was not really prone to falling down, his feet were normally rooted firmly in place. "Odd I thought all the stones had been removed from the fields?" he said scratching his head. Maybe the he should spend tomorrow going through the fields digging for rocks. Perhaps if he was not to sore tomorrow that would be the plan, now though he had to help this girl. "I could use leaves from the bushes but that could just lead to infection" he said with a shrug.

"no, it's okay" she smiled and slipped off her shirt, leaving her in a Ligurian blue, short sleeved dress with buttons down the front "I was just hoping I wouldn't have to ruin my top" Kat tore a strip off her cotton shirt and expertly wrapped it around the wound on her leg, she had more shirts and things to wear back in her cabin and one ruined shirt didn't really bother her.
"done" she announced almost happily smiling proudly over at him, she wiped her hands on the sides of her knee high dress and held out a hand to him "I haven't introduced myself yet, I'm Caterina Hazelwood, but please call me Kat"

" Philomelus 'Phil' Iasion Greene, but please call me Phil" he responded shaking her hand gently. He got to his feet and looked around, luckily they were not to far away from the cabins. He debated silently with him self where he should take her for healing. The guys from Apollo were decent at mending things, then there were a few kids of Asclepius over in cabin two. In the end he decided to take her to the Big House, let Chiron look at her.
"Can you walk?" he asked Kat, glancing down at her leg.

"I think so, hang on a min" Kat procceded to lever her self up, but not put to much weight on her injured leg just in case. She nodded and tested her leg, it seemed fine but a little pain caused her to limp "should be okay, do you know any places for healing, i'm still new and trying to figure out everything" she mused, taking a limping step forward

Phil nodded and wrapped an arm about her waist."I'll take you to the big house, you can be healed their" he said matter of fact. He started to slowly walk towards the camp with Kat in tow. Hopefully she would be alright and he wouldn't do something stupid
