No dogs allowed? {Open}

I walked into the library as white snow fell on my black hair. "Pff..." I blew the bangs out of my face as I walked in. Cerberus was at my feet. I knew he liked the cold, after all, he was a huskey. That was the only reason I had left my cabin in the first place. No one was there, they were all out enjoying the winter festival.

Inside the library, there were a few people. There was a nice fire crackling in the fire place. "It's nice and cozy in here." I said, as I walked to the shelves, looking for nothing in particular. Perhaps I should try and read one of those classic books my old teacher tried to tell me about. I think it was...Black Beauty? I went to the English section, and found it. "Ah, here we are." I picked it up, and went over to the fireplace, were I sat down in a comfertable chair. Cerberus sat down next to me. I petted him before I opend the book.

"Eh-hem" I heard someone behind me, and I turned around. "May I help you?" I said.
"No dogs in the library, please." I grumbled, knowing that there was no arguing. I took Cerberus, and walked right outside of the library, and sat on the steps. Cerberus put his head in my hands. "Thanks, buddy." I said to him.

Someone came up. "What now? I'm not in the library, and last time I checked, your allowed to have dogs around camp." I said, but, as I turned and looked who it was, it wasn't the same person. "Sorry, thought you were someone else."

P.S.~Her dog, Cerberus is not the real Cerberus. He is a Siberian Husky, the runt of the litter. He's not the huge three headed dog that lives in the Underworld.

"It's not big deal," I said, shaking my hair a bit. I had cleaned up since earlier today and some shampoo was still in my hair, making it itch a bit. I started petting the dog and it rolled over as I rubbed it's belly, "He' cute, what's his name?"

"That's, cool." I say, extending my hand to shake hers. "My name's Tony, how about yours?" I looked at the owner, who was wearing an eye patch over her right eye. He thought this was peculiar, but didn't ask about it. She had shoulder length sandy colored hair, and besides the eye patch: she was nice looking.

I looked at him. "It's Mellie." I took a look at his hand, but didn't shake it. It was probobly rude, but I really didn't know this guy. Oh well, stinks to be him.

I put my hand on my neck as thought it was no big deal. "That's cool, you been claimed yet?" I ask. I sucked at small-talk, but it was all I could do. I started petting the dog again, to bide the time.

"Apollo." I say, a bit proud. Even though I thought Archery was boring, I was still glad about Apollo being my dad, even if I hadn't meet him. I looked over at Mellie, who was giving me a weird look. "What?" I say, still petting Cerberus.

I looked away from him. "It's nothing. Just forget about it, ok?" I told him. I what I didn't say was that how sad and dissapointed I was. But because of the things that has happend in my past I've learned to cover up my feelings.

"Okay. Jeez." I said, sitting down next to her, and continuing to pet Cerberus. I needed to change the subject. Then something occurred to me. "Hey, you never answered my question, who's your god parent?"

"Holy crap!" I said with a smile, "That's EPIC!" Obviously it was Poseidon. I didn't know too much about Greek Mythology, if you could still call it that, but I knew the basics. "Wish I could do stuff like that, all I got was Archery."

"That's fine." I said, "I can understand privacy." I looked over the camp from the library, it looked peaceful enough. Everyone seemed otherwise pre-occupied. I looked at my watch and saw that it was around lunch time, "So," I said, "You wanna maybe get something to eat?"

"A chicken like thing with wings..." I said, chuckling a bit. "That's a scary image..." I said sarcastically. And besides, didn't chickens already have wings? I didn't waste more than a minute on that thought.

I looked around. "It's just around the corner. And...here we are." I said. Gods, this guy must be really new. I mean, who didn't know where the Mess Hall was?
