The Quest for The Smart One -P R I V A T E-

Kat looked up Seth. "What the hell, Seth?" she muttered, a small smile creeping on her face. It was faint, but still there. Seth was so random and Kat couldn't help but laugh a bit at him sometimes. Kat was glad that Demetri decided to get in this car. Splitting up wasn't something Kat liked doing. She already established that, but sill.

Kat might not of understood what he was talking about but Chris caught on.
"You mean from the prophecy?" He asked, looking over to him. He brushed a curl of hair out of his face. He tried to think, closing hiws eyes. One eyed, one eyed. A famous story came into his head.
"Cyclopes?" He asked, looking back at Kat and Demetri.

Kat's cheeks flushed. "Oh, that's what you meant." she said shyly. Kat hated making new friends. Cris was still a stranger to her. Embarrassing herself for being clueless was not a great first impression. Kat sighed and turned her music up a little louder, and looked out the window, watching the trees zoom by. "That could be it."

Seth smiled at kat through the mirror. Typical Kat. The drivng to Maine was a pain in the neck. It seemed to be taking hors. Or maybe it was Seth's ADHD. Who knew. A few hours later, Seth felt tired, but still kept his eyes on the road. He could not screw this up for Isabella. Seth was daydreaming when he heard a weird nosie. Seth leaned forward, trying to see what the heck it was. Suddenly, a massive force crashed into the truck, sending it skidding accross the highway. Seth screamed some colorful words as he tried to gain control of the car. Seth slammed on the braks as the truck skid in circles. The truck slammed into a pole on Seth's side like a bumped car. Seth's head hit the side of the car and his eyes rolled into his head, passing out. Seth slumped in his seat as a growl was amied to the car.

Chris swore as he heard the growl but didnt register that they were about to crach before it was too late. Luckily, He was wearing his seat belt so instead of hitting his head on the glass, he was flung to the left. He saw Seth was unconsious. He looked back at the two in the back. "Stay here. Try and get him out." He told them, not actually believeing they would stay. He jumped out the car, adreniline pumping through his veins as he looked up at the minator.
"This will be diffucult." He mummbled. His bow and awrrow appeared on his back and he aimed an arrow straight for the beast. It saw Chris and ran full speed at him, knocking him off the ground and back twenty yards and crashing into a lorry.

Kat had been sleeping when the car crashed. She jerked forward hitting her nose on the seat in front of her, her seat belt only catching her around the waist. "Ow!" she muttered along with a few choice curses. She unbuckled her seat belt and climbed into the front seat, her nose dropping with blood. Kat pulled at Seth's seat belt as she started to smell the scent of gasoline. Despite the cold winter weather, it was getting really hot in the car, and it wasn't the heater. "Crap, crap, crap." she muttered. "Demetri! Go help Chris!" She grabbed Seth's knife and cut the seat belt. It wasn't coming undone; it was stuck. She tore the seat belt apart. "C'mon Seth." she pulled him to the passenger side door, being the fact that there was a pole blocking Seth's door.

Seth groaned as he felt someone tugging on his body. Seth's green eyes fluttered open and he saw Kat. Seth felt grass around him and he knew that he was outside. Kat and pulled him out of the car. "Thanks babe," Seth said weakly, sitting up. Seth touched his head and found a little blood. Not that bad. Seth saw that Kat's nose was bleeding a bit. Seth suddenly smelled the gasoline. Seth's eyes widened. That would cause a big boom. "Demitri!" Seth yelled, not knowing if he was in the car or not.

I jumped on the Minotaur's back and sliced off his horns. He was goin crazy trying to get me off but I managed to stay on and stabbed him in the heart. After the Minotaur disintegrated, I heard Seth shout my name. "What?" I asked when I saw him in Kat's arm. "If you lovebirds are done, we need to figure out another way to get to Maine."

OOC: Hm.........just to tell you what a lorry is...it's like a truck that transports goods. Sorry, thought it was an international thing.

Chris groaned, putting his head in his hands. Ouch, that hurts, he thought. He swore loudly at the Minator, looking up to see Dememtri had killed it. He growled.
"Show off." He mummbled, slowly getting to his feet and shaking. He steadied himself, making his way over to Seth and Kat. He looked down at them both. "Are you alright?" He asked them, holding his hands out to help them up.

Kat rolled her eyes at both of the guys, excluding Chris. "I think we're all right," she muttered, the smell of gasoline was stronger now. "We should probably keep moving on foot." There was a small clicking sound coming from the car like burning metal. The air looked jazzy around the car. "Maybe we shouldn't be standing do close to the car..." Kat trailed off. She looked at Seth. "Are you okay?" she asked in repetiveness.

Seth nodded, but got up quickly. "Yeah, but our bags are in the car!" Seth yelled, sprinting to the car. Out of all the stupid things Seth does, this was the stupidest out of all of them. Yes, run to a car that's about to exploded. Wonderful. Seth opened all the doors of the car (except his) and started to pull out the bags. Seth was pulling out the last bag when the car made a weird noise. "Crap..." Seth said, grabbing the last bag and running back to his friends. Suddenly, the car expoleded, knocking Seth to the ground. Covering his head, Seth could feel the burn of the explosion on his skin as chances if the car flew everywhere. "Kat's gonna kill me," Seth muttered under his breath. Kat would probably bish slap him across the face for doing that.

Chris ran forward, grabbing the bags in one hand and throwing a safe distance behind him. He grabbed Seth's arm, pulling him back away from the car whilst covering his face with his other arm. He hauled him away onto the grass before having a coughing fit.
"Dude, that was stupid." He told Seth between coughs. "You could've died, man." He touched some loose locks of his hair, noticing that the ends were singed and came away in her fingertips. "Bella isn't gunna like this." He said, loud enough for everyone else to hear.

Kat ducked and covered her head when the car exploded. She was going to kill the guys. "You are the biggest idiots I know!" she yelled, standing back up. She glared at them both. She pointed at Seth. "And you started it!" she grabbed her bag and started walking, ignoreing Chris's comment on his hair, and still muttering to herself. She wasn't going to waste anymore time. They were getting to Izzy one way or another.

Seth rolled his eyes at both Chris and Kat. "Dude, I think Bella would care less about your oh-so beautiful hair," Seth teased, sanding up and slinging his bag over his shoulder. "Kat! How is this my fault? Am I suppose to know that monsters smash into cars all the time? 'cause if they do, then I haven't noticed!" Seth cried, throwing his arms one the air. Seth knew that Kat and him always had pointless fights.

Kat sighed and rolled her eyes. She didn't want to go through with this but did all the same. She needed to help Izzy. It was her main priority at the moment as it was for the rest too. Kat was acting like a total drama queen and she knew it. She closed her eyes and exhaled deeply. "You're right." she said through gritted teeth. "Let's just keep moving, okay guys?" stick with three guys. The fact kept popping up in her head. Another reason for her longing for Izzy.

Chris walked over to where he had thrown his backpack and slung it on one shoulder. He looked at the road signs, one saying that you had to go right off the motorway and another twenty miles before you got to Maine. He returned to the others, ignoring their arguements. "Its gunna take us at least the rest of the day to get there if we walk." He ran a hand through his hair, looking at them all.

A sloppy grin was plastered on Seth's face. "Wow, Kat Jones actually said I was right," Seth said, before smiling again. But, Seth smile faded when Chris said they had to walk 20 miles. Yay. Seth ran hand through his blond hair. "We could call a cab. If they have those in Maine," Seth said, adjusting his backpack on his shoulder.

Chris started to shake his head desperatly. He grabbed Seth's arm in a friendly way.
"No way, man. We are not taking a cab." He told him. "Ladt time I called a cab, I was nearly killed, Bella was almost kidnapped and I almost shot a man." He scratched the stubble on his chin. "No way. We can walk"

Kat pursed her lips and elbowed Seth in the ribs. She wasn't herself of she was saying things she normally wouldn't! Seth was so annoying. Kat walked on the other side of Chris. She put a hand on his shoulder lightly, and awkwardly. "We're going to find her." She promised to not only Chris but to herself.

I got my bag and headed off to Maine with everyone else. "So 20 miles huh. Carter and Keith could probably do that no sweat since there on the same track team." I put in my headphones and just kept walking.

Seth raised an eyebrow. Did he hear what he just heard? Sighing, Seth shrugged. "Fine, we'll walk the twenty miles. But, it's gonna take us more than a day if monsters find us," Seth said, adjusting his backpack once more. Seth followed Demitri, suddenly whising he had brought his IPod or something. Seth looked around, trying to find any sign if danger. Or clues. Clues would be better. Seth ran a hand through his blond hair frustrated. Why did Isabella have to get captured? Why couldn't it be somebody else?

Kat rolled her eyes. "Ou guys are all wusses," she said. "I can run twenty miles in thirty minutes. It's easy. But I wont leave you guys in the dust. I'm not cruel or anything like that." Kat shrugged and looked to the sky. It was well past 4:30 and the light outside was nearly gone. Kat hate winter. The days were short, dark and cold. Two of her least favorite things.

Chris laughed, the first time he had all day. "I'm not a whuss. Seth is." He barely knew these people but couldn't help but tease him. He walked next to Kat, istening to his iPod quietly in one ear. Chris stopped smiling, growing serious once more. "What happens if we get to Maine and she isn't there or we have no new leads?"

Seth rolled his eyes at Chris. "Okay, I've probably been through more scary crap than you," Seth said with a slopply grin plastered on his face. But, when Chris said that, his smile fell. "Oh, well then we are screwed. All of this," Seth said, his voice lowering a bit. He knew that wasn't the best answer to give, but it was the honest answer. And Seth hated the real answer.

Kat bit her lip. She didn't want to think negative, not this early into the quest. "Let's not think about it." she said in a soft whisper. The four of them were still walking along the high way. The street lamps came on in a quick instant. The sun was down. Kat took hold of Seth's hand. She never enjoyed the night time. It was just, dark.
