In my field of paper flowers,
And candy clouds of lullaby.
I lie inside myself for hours,
And watch my purple sky fly over me.

A clear, blue sky; a perfect climate, not too hot nor cold. The sound of birds chirping in unison, and the wind gently whispering it's secrets in your ears. The water of the lake trailing along the inlet, keeping a steady, almost quiet pace. Flowers continued to bloom, embracing their radiant colors of red, blue, pink, and etc etera. Everything nature had to offer bonding in complete harmony.

This was definietly not Fall.

At least at Camp Half-Blood. With the magical boundaries always keeping the frigid months of winter away, the campers could tend to their training with ease, and not have to worry about being interrupted by snowfall. The Demeter children could continue harvesting foods and growing flowers, and transforming the camp into a nature-filled enviornment freely and without trouble. Apollo's children could sun bathe all they wanted, and Poseidon's offspring could host the biggest beach party every day is they so pleased.

Lily Rose Melion, daughter of Chaos, however, enjoyed spending most of her time near nature. She enjoyed picking flowers, and allowing the wind to caress her blonde hair. She enjoyed interacting with the animals, feeding and comforting them. In general, the forest or the lake was her favorite location to be.

Today, however, Lily sat by the creek silently, thinking. Her toes touched the edge of the lake, allowing her yellow sun dress to capture the sun's warmth. The teenager's arms rested behind her, supporting her body. A smile didn't paint her face, but a deadpan did. She couldn't help but think about her sister, Zin. Ernest, Lily's boyfriend, found a way into her thoughts as well. Would Zin and Ernest get along? Lily knew that Zin was a little suprised by the news, and it seemed to almost faze her, though she managed to keep her cool. Ernest, though, was an easy guy. He wouldn't do anything to Zin, but whether Zin would do something to Ernest was Lily's greatest concern. Maybe, just maybe, there was hope. Maybe they could find a way to make peace.

Lily heard footsteps coming from behind her, crunching the twigs that laid on the grass. She recognized the boy approaching, and it was none other than Ernest Alexanderson, son of Demeter; her boyfriend.

"Hey Ernest!" she exclaimed chearfully, running over to him for a hug. "It's been so long! I haven't seen you in forever!"

"Its been so long, Lily." Ernest said with a warm smile. He was holding a bouquet of rose in his hand. "I made this for you. Hope you like it."

Ernest now has spiky strawberry blonde hair as well as black eyes, and also a vertical scar below his right eye. His yellow jacket is ragged with an upturned collar. The inner lining is black, the sleeves are rolled up, and Ernest wears it open, leaving a black shirt revealed. He goes anywhere with his favorite blue jeans. Ernest sports a large scar on his torso, but nobody could see it, unless he lift up his shirt.

"I missed you. I just arrived at the camp an hour ago. I was at Sweden... I got an important family business there, so.. Yeah. I tried to IM you... But I just couldn't find any rainbow over there." The blonde teen chuckled. His family business took longer than he had expected. He fixed his black eyes on Lily's eyes. "How are you?"

Lily took the bouqet in both hands gingerly. She smiled softly at him, her blue eyes forming half-moons.

"I missed you too," she said with love and affection. "I hope your business at home went well. I've been fine here at camp."

"Oh well, the important thing is that I'm here now." Ernest smiles, looking at the birds chirping in unison. Really, Camp Half Blood is the only place where Ernest could be himself. He's the only son of a rich oil magnate, so he must act like one. He must always look calm, and he got no time to play with his boys his age. All he wish for is just friends who could be with him, not because he's rich, but for who he is.

The son of Demeter took Lily's hand, and he sat down on the edge of the lake. He threw his black converse shoes aside and looked at the lake that glitters under the sun.
"..... Umm... Just curious... Is your half sisters knew about our relationship?"

Lily was taken aback at the question. She could almost hear Zin's voice whispering to her in her mind. What would she say? What would she do? The teenager wasn't sure whether her sister would be too fond of Lily's boyfriend, but Zin could be unpredictable at times, however. Though, that usually wasn't the case.

"Well, yeah..." Lily said with a slight edge of fear. "My sister, Zin, she knows. I'm not sure what she'll do, though."

"So.. Your sister knows huh? Oh well, we can't hide this forever." Ernest smiled warmly, trying to cheer his girlfriend up. He sensed the fear in her voice.. Why would she worried if her sister knows about her relationship? She's big enough to walk her own path. "Your sister... What is she looks like? She's not going to kill me or anything... Right? Heheh."

There's only one thing the son of Demeter fears: Lily's sister disagree with her relationship. Well, yeah, Ernest is not the coolest guy in the camp, but still... He has one thing other guy don't have: deep love for Lily.

Lily didn't want to think about what her sister could possibly do. Zin was unpredictable--one moment she could be your friend, and then the next she could be preparing to strike. The teenager wasn't sure whether Zin was too busy with cabin leader duties to focus on Lily's love life and plot anything on Ernest, so she shook away the idea. Maybe Lily was lucky, and Zin had forgotten.

"So what exactly were you doing in Sweeden?"

"My dad is a rich oil magnate. He wants me to continue his business. But really, its not my type... With that formal suit and all... And he wants to send me to a school in London, so we got into a little fight. But hey, Camp Half Blood is where I belong. Besides, I can't bear to leave you." Ernest ran his fingers through his blonde hair, sighing. He's a down to earth person, and he's not the kind of guy who will be interested in that kind of job. He wanna have a job that has something to do with nature. ".... You know, maybe I could talk with your sister. You know, to just say hi.."

Lily's eyes widened. Talking? Her sister? That's practically suicide!

"Oh, uh, yeah. I'm sure she'd... Love that." Lily emphasized the word 'love' with both disbelief and fear. "I'll try to get you two some time to... Talk things out."

He rested his head on her shoulder and smiled "she's a cabin leader, right? She must be super busy with the cabin leader stuffs and all.."

Zinnia Melion- daughter of Chaos- had nothing but an uneventful week. Getting off the quest for a Hecate camper, she campe back to camp, and nearly missing the fall events. Even, to top it all, she hasn't even decorated her own cabin leader room. Zin wasn't organized as usual, and that led her where? To nowhere but a new wound, and a very, very short temper.

It was a good thing, though, that the day was absolutely peaceful today. As she strolled on, losing the steam roll of a hard week's ache easily once she saw what camp became. Her orange camp shirt wad one amongst many, and she easily became an ordinary camper- even for just one day. Zinnia's dark grey shoes had led her everywhere, and aimlessly, her long denim pants hovered just about the tippy top of the green grass blades. The perfect shade of forget-me-not blue hung under the Fall season, clearly portraying what heaven camp is. Zin wondered, it really was a haven if you get past the monsters. Zin smiled to the right people, easily making her face unemotional and bored once they got over it.

"You've got a hard personality to crack." she hear one person laugh whole-heartedly as he thought it would be an amusing joke.

But Zin wasn't amused. They didn't know what she faced in her waking hours and the haunting images that filled her nights. Still, she merely smiled as if she got it and walked on. Only the day could save her drowning positive side. She thought how bad her day's going to be, and decided she could just wait for it to unravel and at least savor some sunshine. Tomorrow's a new day, right?

Wrong. At least for ending the bad day early.

Zin found herself on the edge of the lake's clearing. Her short and spiky hair has grown a little past her shoulders, and she has managed to find the time to tame it down- eventually flattening it into a smooth waterfall. Her pale face was a nice shade of pink, as Apollo's rays bathed it. It was either she got sunburned- or really pink. She never got tanned- much to the Aphrodite children. Zin breathed in carefully, as if scared if he breathed too much, it'd be poison. As she walked along the woods that hid the lake from camp, walking silently in the shadows, she noticed somthing that she could easily mistake for someone else. Adjacent to where she was, Lily Melion- her sister- sat on the ledge, talking to a boy. A boy? Zin was catious. She never saw Lily talk to a boy except at her old school or with their long dead brothers. Wondering why this is, she
Moved in closer, hiding I the trees as she did. Zin was always fidgety whenever people around her had fun. She didn't want to disturbed anyone- but a couple of satires and dryads looked at her weirdly. As she approached, Zin heard bits and pieces of their conversation. She was struck at their topic. Was she correct when she heard them talk about...her? They really got her attention now. Why would they ever want to talk about her? Zin felt a pang of a little bit betrayal and jealousy. Did Lily found her too unpredictable and chaotic to even approach her own sister? Did Zin really change? Zin find it weird Lily would do this. Time to investigate.

Leaving the safety of the woods- Zin had a split secon decision to make a run for it back to cabin 2. But she held her ground and silently walked up to them. Zin didn't portray her emotions, as easily as she did before. She had years of practice, didn't she? Zin walked up to the couple and cleared her throat. Surprisingly dry, it probably sounded like a small cough. "Excuse me?" Zin asked, rising her eyebrow and waited for their reply "I-I heard my name. So wazzup?” Zin asked as nonchantly as she managed. Her grey eyes were different from Lily's, and it held a certain undecided glint in them. Heavens knows-maybe they'll find out what's in it. And that doesn't garantee it would be less painful.. Ernest almost jumped by the sound of the girl behind him. He instinctively turned the chain which was strapped on his jeans to his green bladed Sword and turned his back to glance at the girl that was talking.
He quick scanned her from head to toe... And it turns out that she's not a monster....

Phew!
The son of Demeter sighed in relief and tranformed his sword back to its chain form, then, strapped it to his jeans. "Oh.. Hello. I uhh... Are you Zin? Lily's sister? I'm Ernest, from cabin four. I uh... Lily's boyfriend."

A little worry crept into Ernest's voice. So she is Lily's sister. What if she dislikes Ernest? Yeah, he's not the coolest guy on the camp, and he's not the toughest guy too. He's just another random guy from cabin four who loves to play children's card game and took care of the strawberries on the field...

If Lily's sweet, kind-hearted and pure nature didn't prevent her from doing so, she would have probably muttered a curse right about now.

Lily turned back to see Zin standing before she and Ernest. What was she doing here? How did she know? Did she even know? The teenager was well aware of the fact that there was a strong possiblity for things to get ugly, though she would try to maintain the peace as best as she could.

The daughter of Chaos recognized that one thing in her sister's eyes. That thing that basically informed others that she wasn't happy. Lily gulped down her fear, forcing words out of her mouth.

"Oh, hey Zin," she greeted casually, or at least attempted to, as the angst in her voice was clearly evident. Only now did she regret telling Zin about her 'special friendship' with Ernest. Lily pursed her lips, and remained silent.

Zin waited for the emotions to roll off. She waited for Ernest- or Lily- to explain anything. But neither seemed open enough to tell her. Zin felt dfferent emotions stirring in her chest as she looked- no, wait, look is too innocent- stared at them. Her eyes, startling silver under the sun, studied both while her face remained hard. Stone cold. You wouldn't understand her body jestures- even she herself didn't- but Zin knew Lily just about have a piece of mind she wasn't really ecstatic about this peculiar incident. Pursing her lips and forming a thin line, Zin stood on the grass, not moving an inch. The only motion she made was the clenching of her fists, which were luckily still by her side. She did have half a mind to send Ernest to the pits of Tartarus, but the other half knew Lily wouldn't allow her. So, instead of fist fighting or sword sticking, Zin gritted her teeth and waited for someone to explain. Explain anything.

Okay, she's got to hand it to him. Ernest did react appropriately when he reached for his sword first, rather than checking who was behind him. But she only knew little of him to give him a chance to move on to her sister yet. Zin waved her arm a bit. A little slight of hand anyone could get over. But no half-blood should ever lay down their guard if that movement meant summoning a sword to a very angry Zinnia Melion. "Okay-" Zin said, eyeing both. She raised up her sword in her normal pace during sword fighting and stuck the ground. Horizontally sticking out, as if grown there, her sword stood, half of the meter long metal outside for them to see. Zin breathed in deeply, asshe sat down on the soft grass. "-let's talk.” Leaning casually on the flat of her blade. Zin didn't want to avoid their eyes, but she gave them time to think it out without pressure. She carefully picked on the grass that lay besides her and looked at it with interest. Already, Zin decapitated it by her ling pale fingers, and she moved on and on until her hands smelled like mown grass. Looking at them with her pheripheral vision, Zin muttered for Ernest. "Yeah, Zin, short for Zinnia, that's me. And if you know what's good for you, you better talk." Her words were bright and clear. She didn't actually care who he was, but she did care for her sister. Zin's style wasn't being offensive, but her voice was almost taunting. And she hoped she scared him as much as their relationship does to her. She could hear the fear in Lily's voice as she spoke. Zin's confidence wavered a bit. Did Lily loved him too? Of course, coz then we wouldn't be in thus situation. Zin's knowledge of relationship, was it entirely ended badly. Even or half bloods, it was always the same. Break-ups, or the death of their partner littered the place, and shatters of broken hearts littered the ground like garbage. She was sure to remind Lily from way back in the Civil War to watch where she was treading, because she might get into a relationship that would break her heart. Zin tried all she could to save her sister- why stop now? Zin wrinkled her nose as a lot of maddening thoughts filled her head. Then a thought hit her.

"Do you even know what we've been through?" Zin asked Ernest sharply. She studied him with silver eyes, and who would've known Lily and she were twins? If it weren't for the sisterly love she had, no one would've known they were even related. "Coz we've been through a lot. That's to say. And it's still not ending, even here at camp. That's to say I wouldn't let anything happen to my sister."

"I wouldn't let anything happen to her either. I don't know the details on what you two has been through.... But Lily once told me that she was born during the war. And by the way, nice to meet ya, Zin." Ernest said with a warm smile, trying to sound friendly, and making sure that he doesn't sound scared or nervous. His brown eyes looked straight at Zinnia.

"So... What's up, anything interesting happen lately?" The son of Demeter asked casually, laying on the grass as if nothing really matter, and as if Lily's scary sister is not there.
