It was a warm summers eve, which was perfect. Valerie was very nervous as she lay down on the sand, a little bit of sand getting into her swimsuit. She gazed up at the sunset. She could feel the butterflies swarming in her stomach, ad it got closer and closer to 7:05. Did he forget? Would he come? Did he change his mind? All of these thoughts were swirling in her head until she heard the crunching of shoes stepping onto the less-erroded sand.

I finally arrived around 7:13. MY flip-flops crunched noisily on the sand. I approached Valerie. "Sorry I'm late," I said, sitting down next to her. "Essie was giving me a hard time." The sun beat down on me as I looked across the beach. I could tell the water was cool, even though the sun hit it directly. The water nymphs swam, and giggled as they sat on rocks around the edge of the beach.

"It's beautiful, right?" I whispered, leaning aginst him. But then I smiled, "But I didn't ask you to come just to stare at the sunset." It was begining to fade anyway. I stood up, and pulled Leroy up as well, "Come on! I have something to show you." I saiid, walking backwards and into the surf.

I hesitated. I knew she didn't know that I couldn't swim. I didn't want to act like a total retard, so I waded into the water. I figured as long as I could stand, then I would be okay, right? I glanced over at some water nymphs ho were looking at me as if they couldn't believe I dared to step foot in their water.I carefully followed, getting more worried as the water level got higher.

He was looking kind of nervous, so I grinned and dived underwater, swimming for a minute or so. I sighed, I could get used to this. I looked back at Leroy and...

I was momentarily horrified as a water nymph tripped me. I was swept into the water, and it pulled me back. I opened my eyes. I was underwater, sinking. I flailed, but I couldn't seem to move up. My lungs burned.I became motionless, looking around desperately for help. Though I had enhanced vision, I couldn't see. The water blurred my vision, and bubbles ran away from my mouth like the Oxygen hated me. I made the mistake, and tried to breathe for oxygen. Water flooded into me, and my vision went black.

"Leroy!" I screamed, Diving under the water towards him. I could see his body, sinking down to the deep. I scowled. No, no, no. This will not happen again. I grabbed his shoulder and kicked up to the surface. I couldn't waste any time checking if he was breathing, as I swam towards the beach. Oh no no no no. I lay him on the sand,and checked his pulse. Very faint.Okay then, time to use your CPR traing (Is that wat its called? Been so long) To use.

I could feel the water that had filled my lungs. Even though I was out of the water, I still might drown. A very faint dream came to me. First, there was a blinding flash of light, before I could see them. Souls. Lost. They floated around a waiting room, restless. I took a step forward, not feeling the ground under my feet. I looked down, only to see a shimmering flicker of myself, instead of a body. I looked up, and recognized the person at the booth. Charon. I was dead, for now...
