I kind of felt bad to keep pushing her. "Actually, I have been around here for two years," I laughed. "I meant what do you, specifically do most of the time?" I clarified, hopefully, for the last time.

Essie was hearing every word that they were saying. She had to tiptoe to the door, she was going to get out. She was fine. She said to herself. her arm had stopped bleeding for the most part. She sighed and tiptoed to the window, where she was planning to jump.

"Oh" I said, blushing. "I like to read, and I like swimming too. I also dance and sing, so I'm with my Apollo friend, Harli, most of the time, and-Wait. Who'se that?" I asked, looking around him to see a figure about to jump, "DON'T JUMP!" I yelled and ran to her and grabbed her arm.

I blushed as she told me she liked to swim. I couldn't swim. Fun, huh? I looked around, and ran after her. "Essie!" I said, alarmed. "What are you doing?? Are you crazy?" I asked, as I pulled her away from the window.

Essie blushed and mumbled, "That didn't work..." she got down from the ledge. "I'm trying to leave." she said, looking at Leroy. She raised an eyebrow with a look that said, 'Explain later.' she looked at the other girl, "You see, he helped me when I got hit in the arm with an arrow...and now I'm trying to leave because," she looked at Leroy again, "I. Am. Perfectly. Fine." she exaggerated each word.

"Um, considering that arm is gushing blood, I don't think so." I said, pushing her onto the bed, "And considering I'm technically still on Volunteer Hours, you have to do what I say." I said, smiling. "Oh! I forgot, I'm Valerie, Daughter of Eros."

Essie groaned, "But it's fine!" she whined like a little child. She crossed her arms and huffed. "I don't want to stay." she said, looking at her. She looked at Leroy for any kind of help. She sighed, knowing she wasn't going to be able to win this battle. "I'm Essie. Apollo." she mumbled, uncrossing her arms a bit.

I watched, slightly amused as Valerie made her sit back down for me. I decided to just wait in the background until anyone needed me to do something. I smiled, and pulled up a chair. I sat down, And pulled up a chair for Valerie too.

Essie groaned again and rolled her eyes at Leroy. She could...she shook her head at herself. To get out of the infirmary? She sighed, not going to happen. She started to listen as Valerie started talking. "So, I can go...if I follow your rules?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at the girl.

I watched carefully, wondering what 'circumstances' these were. I hoped Val wasn't too hard on my half-sis. I crossed my arms, still watching the conversation, thinking about stuff. Eventually, I wondered how long Essie was listening in.

"Yes. No catch, I promise." I said. Then I thiught for a moment " Scratch that, I swear on the river Styx that There will be no catch, and if there is I was not aware of it." I vowed. Thunder roared in the distance. I looked back at Essie, "See? SO If I'm lying, I die."

Lovely thought, I thought. I looked around the room. Honsetly, I had healed her pretty well, and I didn't believe she needed to be kept here much longer, as long as she would let me keep refreshing her bandages.

Essie agreed and took the lollipop. "I know right? I just don't understand why people do. Ya' know it's strange that you bring it up though..." she smirked, "because what I heard from accident was interesting." she got up. 'Thanks Val!" she said, smiling at her, she turned to Leroy, "Have fun." she smirked and went to the window and jumped, waving. She knew she could make it, she ahd to do larger jumps for winning capture the flag.

I then turned to look at Leroy. Oh. My. Gods. He was so close I could lean in and- NOOOO! Bad Valerie. I quickly took a step away from him "Well...That was interesting."

I felt my face turn horribly pink. Crud. This was never gonna get anywhere. I shrugged. "I suppose so. I mean Essie can't stay here all the time, and hopefully she doesn't break a leg. And this time," I drifted off a bit. "It's not my fault if she does, right?" I asked.

I laughed, and looked over. I began to be nervous. She was right there now. Was this just another Eros thing, or was this for real? I thought. I didn't know, and I was extremely confused. I mumbled a few incomprehensible words, but shut up, knowing no one could understand me.

I closed my eyes and leaned forward.I don't know why, but the impulse was to great. I breathed, and looked back, pulling away. "Sorry," I said, looking down at my feet. I had barely known her. This had to be some sort of mistake.

I gulped. Darn it, so close. Well...he was still very close to me..should I? BUt you barely know him! the rational part of me argued, Yeah, but love is spontaneous! the Eros-given side of me argued back. Woah! I mentally interrupted, who said anything about love? But, I ended up going with the irrational side as I leaned in.....

Before I could give it another thought, we kissed. I turned red, but didn't pull away. I closed my eyes, feeling...nice. That's, for some reason, the only feeling I can describe it as. Maybe my vocabulary sucked?

I kinda went into shock. This was my first kiss, and it felt....nice. His lips were soft, and he seemed kinda hesitant, so I gently placed my left hand on his arm, amd my right hand on his neck. I wasn't really thinking conherently...everywhere his body touched, there were tingles.Unfortunately, we had to come up for air after a little while. "Wow.'
