Essie turned slightly, "What the he-" she saw candy and a grinning Leroy. She raised an eyebrow at him, "Is everything all right?" she asked, her eyes somewhat wide. 'What's up with the candy?" she asked suspiciously.

I shrugged. "Meet the reason for your problem," I said, motioning toward the candy. "Well...its mostly my fault..." I muttered under my breath. "But still!" I said, chuckling.

Essie rolled her eyes, putting up a finger, "One, it wasn't your fault, it was me over reacting. Two...don't mess with my candy." she smirked and grabbed some candy, unwrapping it and eating it. Now she just had to find a way to get out of there.

I chuckled, putting my hands up in a surrender position. "Okay, okay. Got it. No candy," I laughed, laying down on a couch by the door. "So you gonna go to sleep? I'm not gonna let you escape you know," I stuck my tongue out.

Essie stuck her tongue out at him like a child. "I'll get my...friend. He'll help me!" she smiled and laid down. "Fine. Good night Leroy." she mumbled, drowsiness already grasping her. She had used way to much energy.

I chuckled. "Right...friend." I yawned, and stretched out, beginning to fall asleep. I blinked a bit, then dozed off on the couch.

Essie woke uo, seeing Leroy sleeping. She smiled and went over to where she had found a secret stash of...stuff hidden. She smiled and grabbed it. Her headache was long gone.

I moved a bit, hearing a rustling. I slowly opened one eye, to make sure Essie wasn't trying to escape. I quietly rolled over, pretending to still be asleep, but I mostly did it to get a better view of what she was doing. My eyes were half closed, and I hoped they looked convincing enough. When Essie went back to bed, I got up and quietly snuck out the door, trusting that she would stay there.

Essie noticed Leroy leave and she sat up, and looked out the window. It was two stories high...she could try to jump, she had before... she shook her head. She had broken her leg after doing that jump last time. She sighed, there was no way she could get out of here easily...so she paced in the room to pass the time. If she had a piano or a guitar, she would've been fine. Josh, (when she was little) had always brought her a guitar to help her pass the time so she didn't leave and make things worse.

Valerie was walking into the infirmary when she hit a wall. Or, what she thought was a wall...until she saw the wall had a face. A very cute face, but that was beside the point. "Oh my gods! I am so sorry!"" I said, covering my mouth with my hands, taking a step back.

I staggered backwards a bit. "Oh, hi," I said, rubbing my forehead. I squinted, my vision temporarily blurred. "Uh...it's ok," I smiled kindly. As I looked, my vision became clearer and I began to notice her face. It was obviously a girl, with beautiful features, and blonde hair. I gawked for a moment or two, then shook my head, embarrassed. "I-I'm Leroy," I managed, feeling stupid.

He stuttered a bit, which I found cute, "Hey. I'm Valerie" I said, sticking my hand out , "It's a pleasure." I said, giving him my best smile.As usual, I was trying to fight the instinct, but I couldnt! I mean, My dad's the God of flirting and...er...other stuff! I can't fight natural instinct! I realized I had moved my face unconciously so part of my face was shadowed, while the other was bathed in light. No. No. I bit my lip. Agh! Dad! I hate you. Dumb natural instinct!

I took her hand and shook it. "Apollo camper. And you?" I asked, kind of dumbfounded at how she found a way to make herself look even more perfect, and then totally mess herself up again. I found it kind of amusing. It looked like she was having a war with herself in her own head.

He looked amused, which confused me for a second. "Eros Camper" I responded, Biting my lip and looking up from under my lashes in that non-nervous way that normally makes guys blush and go off in a daze.

I took a step back, realizing what was happening. "Err," I muttered, trying to make up my mind on what to do. Finally, I just stood there, beginning to blush. I then realized I was at a loss for words for once, and I blushed even more at that.

"I'm sorry!" I said, feeling my face turn red, "I can't really help what I do sometimes...It's natural instinct". I felt so bad. The poor guy! I looked down at my shoes, wondering what to say.

"It's cool. At least your better than some Aphrodite campers," I said, remembering how irritatingly taunting they were about how I could be single (which was apparently easily according to them). I shuffled my feet a bit, not knowing whether this was happening, or just, as she put it, 'instinct'.

I smiled. "It's cool. Happens to everyone. And yeah, I totally agree. Aphrodite kids are a bunch of prisses. When you said "Us Eros children care about the other half" does that include you?" I asked. i could feel my face getting moderately hotter.

"Um...Well.." I said, my cheecks prpbably turning slightly pink. I bit my lip, then decided to tell him the truth, "Yeah.I mean....I've mostly given up, because there IS more to life then that....and nobody really trusts Eros campers because they're scared we put 'magic love charms' on them, which dosent make sense, cause we can't do magic or anything like that." I slipped my right hand into my back pocket, then crossed the fingers that he won't go all wierd on me or something.

Essie was going to go down the hall and sneak out quietly when she saw Leroy and a girl talking, she could tell that the girl was the daughter of Eros, or Aphrodite. She had to be, she was really pretty. She turned back towards her bed quickly, making sure that she made no attention to herself. She smiled to herself at the thought of getting Leroy back for making her stay here, and pushing her to talk...somewhat about Ben and her. She bit her lip and fell asleep, a mischievous smile evident on her face.

I laughed lightly. "Well, I kinda meant around the whole camp," I elaborated, as I stopped swaying. I took my hands out of my pockets, but studied my feet as if they had become extremely interesting.

"Oh!" I said, blushing, "So I take it your new around here. Well, I hang around at the beach alot, we have a library with all the books translated into greek, and you can rent movies. I also have to stop The Aphrodite and Athena cabins from killing eachother alot and a bunch of other stuff." I said, smiling.
