My Room. The Mess. (Poetry! What else?)

My room is a cluttered mess,
That I leave alike so long.
There's clothes, towels, pencils,
And old photos that've gone wrong.

We have coka-cola cans of plenty,
And candy from last year.
There are stuffed bears, and old jewelry,
And old Christmas books, hey! "Christmas Cheer!"

I find old homework,
That I should have eventually turned in.
I see old notebooks, water bottles,
And an old crushed up trash bin.

I find old crushed toys,
Like dolls and plastic food.
I see unmatched socks and candy rocks,
And rings that tell my mood.

Though what I see is much,
I know I'll clean it all!
Just give me a few decades,
Or at least until next fall.
