| Essie walked along the side of the lake, letting the water go around her ankles, getting her jeans we. She didn't care. She closed her eyes as she tried to stay calm. Too many people had found out about her secret, now she needed to keep her secrets guarded more than ever. No one really understood her, she guessed that's why no one really talked to her before this year. She shrugged and layed down on the soft grass surrounding the lake. | |

| After a nice game of pin the arrow on the tree, I walked down to the lake to rinse the sut off of my face. I hated the batrooms. They were gross, and smeeled like rotten fish. I paused, I never knew Percy Jackson, but it strangely reminded me of a child of a sea god. I knew there were some other kids in that cabin, maybe it was just there odor, or there was just a leak. Who knows? Anyways, I spotted a girl, roughling through the water. She looked anxious. Thats when I decided to speak up. "Hey! You..." | |

| Essie looked at him, he surely wasn't one of Apollo's kids. "No. I'm not the one that yelled Hi across the shore." she said, raising an eyebrow. she tentatively put her hand out to shake. "I'm Essie Medley." she said, if he was an Ares kid, he didn't seem like her remembered her, which was good. No one should remember her, she wanted to be unnoticed now. | |
