On this particular day, it was a rather mild temperature; not too cold, not too hot. On an afternoon like this, he wouldn't pass up the chance to get outside and do something. So, he threw on an old tee-shirt, some ripped jeans, and made his way into the forest. The forest had always been his favorite place; with it's odd trees, bustle of life, and overall wonderland feeling, one couldn't help but love it. Approaching a thick, oaky tree, Adam stretched upwards, grasping one of the lowest branches. With a grunt, he pulled himself upwards. Then, he scrambled up more and more branches, ascending towards the heavens. Once he had reached a nearly gut-wrenching height, he stopped, and sat himself on a bark-covered limb, grinning downwards. From here, all of the grounded foliage was small, as if he had shrunk them down. Sighing, he leaned against the trunk, unsure of how to continue his day. Is this all he had planned? "Gah, this is boring. Trees are boring, in fact." Furrowing his brow, he looked upwards, frowning. "Why am I even up here, really?"

| CINNAMON 'SYN' RAYNE ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Panting, the auburn haired girl stopped, laughing at the fox as it dove into its den with a flick of his bushy tail. Now that she had finished the race, in second place, no less, Syn was exhausted, and suddenly disgusted. She had a stitch, and was breathing quite heavily as she bent forward, leaning into the sharp pain in her side. it took her a few moments to catch her breath, and her disappointment in her fitness level was obvious. She used to be able to outrun a fox easily, without even tiring enough to need rest. And here she was, blubbering all over the place! A growl, feral and deep, rumbled in her chest before she pushed it down forcefully. The other animals in the area needn't be scared of her, and she didn't want to get into the habit of snarling when she was hungry. Gods! Imagine the other campers expressions if the heard me snarl at them!! She managed a light laugh, and began to trot aimlessly down a sort-of path where she presumed campers used quite often. A gentle breeze lifted her hair out of her burning face, cooling her cheeks as she sighed into it. The sun was warm, but not uncomfortable. The leaves rustled, and her blue-green eyes scanned them, both curious and alert for any sort of danger. Every camper knew the danger of the forest, some better than others. There was no telling when, or even what monster would leap out at an unwary demigod, so she kept her eyes peeled, and her ears sharp. Her mind remembered the fangs of a hell hound, and she winced, absently touching the faint, jagged scars running down her left arm. The wind shifted, and she spun, grinning. The wind had carried to her the familiar scent she so loved. It never made sense, she could never pick up what it was made of, the scent mingling with others to leave her, quite simply, curious. She quickly jogged down the path, stopping under a large, oaky tree. The scent vanished. She stopped, frowning. She looked about. But not up. For some reason, it hadn't occurred to her to look up. She listened, and heard nothing. "Adam?" she called out, suddenly worried. Forests were never silent. Where were the birds? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | |

Boredom pulsed through him absently. Sighing, he dropped the leaf, staring through the green at the sky. Suddenly, a voice interrupted his thoughts; it was familiar and loved, and it was speaking his own name. Realizing who it was instantly, he bolted upwards. Nearly falling, he laughed. Quickly, he scrambled down the tree, as fast as his legs would take him. Hitting the ground with a thud, he turned, and took in his visitor. The same auburn hair, blue-green gaze, and innocent aura as always. "Syn!" he cheered, and moved forward like a lightning bolt. Scooping her up in his arms, he spun her around once. "I've missed seeing you," he began, setting her down. "It's been a while since we've seen each other." Abruptly, he grasped her hands, and kissed her. Doing it now was like a casual greeting; they were at the part in their relationship where they could go steady, and still be crazily in love without being crazy. Pulling away, he grinned mischievously, and gripped her shoulders. "So, hello then."
[[ This is what happens when I'm tired and I have no muse. Soooooo sorry, I'll post more next time, I swear! :3 ]]

| CINNAMON 'SYN' RAYNE
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The leaf fluttered past her face, and Syn, suddenly hypnotized, stared at it it. Her hand shot out, snatching it from the air playfully. The leaf was strangely fascinating, but her interest in it soon vaporized, her eyes darting upwards towards the sound of a sudden rustling. A grin spread across her face, and she stepped back slightly as a figure suddenly dropped from the tree. The grin softened into a smile, meeting his emerald green eyes with her blue-green ones. "Syn!" She opened her mouth to reply, but no words came, only a surprised yelp as she was suddenly lifted into the air. Then she laughed, wrapping her arms about his neck as he swung her about once and placed her down. She barely had time to brush the hair out of her eyes before he gripped her hands, and planted a kiss on her lips. She found herself smiling, her body relaxed and carefree as she just watched his features for a moment. It was quite well known that Syn wasn't much of a talker, nor was she shy; she just preferred to read body language. And she loved watching the slight changes in Adam's facial expressions; his grin could be gentle, and then suddenly full of mischief as it was now. As she felt his hands rest on her shoulders, she reached up and brushed out the twig caught in his hair. "Hello!" she said with a laugh, holding the small bit of barky wood in her finger tips before dropping it absently. Her hands then lay upon his forearms gently, just casually resting there. "I've missed you too" she said, her eyes dancing a little as she held his. It was funny how she was as comfortable around him as she was around animals; she never really knew how to act with the other demi-gods. But that was due to her memory loss and living out of society. But when she was with Adam, she was happy. She knew, but didn't tell anybody, that he was one of the main reasons why she had never finally left the camp definitely. She blinked, scattering the thoughts from her mind; she didn't want him to know just yet. Didn't want him to know that she had considered leaving everything behind; it happened a long time ago, she felt, and it was in the past. She just hoped he wasn't as good at reading her thoughts as she believed him to be, and quickly smiled softly at him. It would have been stupid to leave. "We need to hang out more!" she said suddenly, grinning just as mischieviously as him for a moment before planting a swift kiss on his lips and jumping away from him, laughing as she grabbed onto the nearest and lowest tree branch, swinging herself up onto it. She climbed a few more before stopping and staring down at him with a playful glint in her eye.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [NO PROBLEM. And just because I reeeallly feel like saying it: YEAH, YOU BETTER xD Also, Adam's pic suddenly reminded me of The Doctor for a moment O_o And I am making a list here as my mind comes up with things while typing this out, like: WHAT WAS THE TITLE OF THAT BOOK with our two charrie alikenesses?????? "Of course, of course. Everyone misses me," he joked. A glint of excitement shot through his eyes. When she drifted off, though, he frowned, watching her. Suddenly, she blinked, and returned to reality. Shrugging to himself, he smiled again. "We need to hang out more!" He started to reply before she planted a kiss on his lips, and leaped away. When she grabbed the branch, he laughed enthusiastically, and shook his head. "You're so agile, it's amazing!" He grinned wickedly, and followed.
By the time she was on the fifth or sixth branch, he had already scampered up after her. Pulling himself onto a branch a few below her, he saw Syn stop, and stare down at him. "I see," he began, dangling from a branch, "you meant 'hanging' literally." Chuckling absently, he continued climbing a few more before pausing. He was now eye-to-knee level with her, so he peered up at her, an amused look in his eyes. "Perhaps you could slow down?" he jokingly suggested. "I'm not as young as I used to be! Nineteen," he told her. "I'm an old man, I know." Grinning oddly, he leaned back onto another branch, finding his balance.
Adam had never had to admit to himself that he liked Syn. Hell, he loved the girl. It's not like he waltzed around gloating about it though. He was sure that she knew how he felt; though he wasn't sure if she felt the same, he could deal with it. The thing he wouldn't be able to deal with was seeing her leave him, and fall in love with someone, and marrying them. Everyday he'd die a bit inside. Blinking, the thoughts evaporated. He couldn't let himself get down. Adam never got down. That's just who he was. "Sorry," he mumbled, looking away. Shifting, his foot slipped on the bark, sending him downwards. With a gasp, Adam clutched onto the branch, pulling himself up. "See what I mean?" he questioned, grinning.
"These old bones just can't do what they used to." Hunching over on the woody limb, he grasped his back, moaning exuberantly. "Ow, my back." He tried his hardest to imitate an old man, but ended up chuckling. "Anyways," he lengthened the word, to transition into his next words. "Are we going somewhere with this, or are we just going to stand there?" He smirked jokingly, and waited for her to reply.

| CINNAMON 'SYN' RAYNE
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "And I'm seventeen!" she said, grinning widely as she relaxed, half lying half hunched over a branch, ignoring the uncomfortable position as it dug into her stomach a little. She peered down at him, eyes dancing playfully as she rested her chin on her propped up hand. "Not that young either mister!" she laughed a little, sliding backwards confidently to sit herself on the large branch rather than stand on it; it also brought her closer down to him.
From this position, she could easily reach down and pat the top of his head, not that she did at that point; his eyes had suddenly changed, the thoughts in his mind unreadable to her. But she could tell there was a sadness, or a worry there, causing her to frown a little. It was not him to be sad, and even though he suddenly apologized for it and went back to his usual self, the expression stuck in the back of her mind. Syn couldn't help it; she loved him. It was an odd thought and feeling, but she found herself smiling warmly at him. 'What would I have done without him?'
His sudden slip caused her to jerk forward a little, ready to grab onto his wrist if he fell; her hands were planted firmly on the branch he clung to, and Syn leaned forwards, now able to reach him easily. It was a strange position, but for her, it was easy enough to maintain balance; she'd had to climb many trees to escape from the monsters that hunted her before camp, and had learned how to take risks for the sake of surviving. But Adam was fine, and pulled himself up. She smiled, relieved.
She had to laugh at him as he tried to act old though, even though he was, quite sadly, terrible at it in the tree. "Your not that old!" she said, an exasperated tone in her voice as she laughed blue green eyes dancing happily. From her strange, leaning forward position, Syn was just above eye level with him, and at the question, her mind whirred with random thoughts, not really productive ones either. She cocked her head, her eyes searching the air directly in front of her as ideas popped into her head. None of them stood out, so just looked back at Adam with an amused smile. "I've got nothing" she said, staring into his green eyes with an apologetic grin. "Your turn for an idea!"
