Forest Art

I walked slowly through the forest and found a cozy little spot. "What a beautiful day!" I exclaimed. I sat down on a rock and pulled out my sketchbook and a pencil from my bag. I began to draw the scene around me. I could only hear the sound of my pencil on my paper as I zoned out.

I looked up at the sound of footsteps. "Hello?" I ask, my voice ringing out.

I came out from behind a tree, and saw a girl drawing. "Oh, hey."

I jump and see someone standing by a tree. "Oh, hi." I reply. "You scared me."

I laughed a little. "I'm just taking a hike."

I nod, "It is a beautiful day." I looked down on my paper. "I was just drawing it."

I smiled. "Are you good?" I asked.

"Well, I like to think so." I said. I held up my half-finished picture. The shading and details still not complete. "You tell me."

I widened my eyes. "It's great!" I said, and walked over to her.

I grinned, "Thanks. I haven't really shown my art to too many people."

I smiled, "You think so?" I paused and frowned, "It's not like I could. I can't really leave here." I sighed. I jumped as yet another person arrived. "Oh, hi."

I grinned, "Once again, thanks." I looked up at the sky, "If only I could go out and actually sell my artwork..." I sighed.

I laughed. "Well, you can. Don't tell anyone, but I sneak out of camp all the time."

I press my pencil to my paper, drawing a bit. "I guess." She bit her lip.
