| The beach. That sounded like a good place to hang out tonight. It was a hot summer night, but only after I sat down on the soft, golden sand did I realize how weird I looked with jeans and a huge hoodie on. "Meh, I'm too lazy to go back." I said to myself. So I sat with my right leg up, my left leg on the ground, my hands interlaced around my right knee, and I rested my head on my knee; looking outward to the water.

| ”’Cause Maybe, You’re Gonna Be the One That Saves Me"
t||r||a||v||i||s||||n||o||v||a||l||eMr. tall, mysterious and Poseidon’s child-o-o-o-o-o-o- As Travis, practically a more of a solo flyer as one could ever be, he wandered out into the open sea. Surely, as a man of few words, even his own siblings have a hard time to tackle his emotions and way of life. But he's fine with it, with his own perspective and his very own style, he makes it feel his individuallity more. Not that anyone would rather know better of too.
With a shirt covering his pale, yet not really bone and skinned torso, and a worn, fading blue jeans in his lower half, he got lost in his too imagiative mind and only found himself amidst the sparkling sea below this starry night. Travis sighed, as he was used to make these weird trips to the sea, but he knew it was more of a gut feeling rather than a connection with his father. As a person with a low sense of responsibility, and a low tolerance of authority, he always dwelled on open spaces where he doesn't feel so...enclosed on the daily life of a half-blood.
As he walked down the white beach, the little sand dunes crunching under his sneakers, he spotted her. With the little ball she crouched into, and a leg placed forward to be the only sign, to him, that she was there. Travis would've been better off ignoring her, like how he would be to another random kid at the shore, but something about the look in her eyes, the deep thought in her face made him think back. Walking ever so gently, he trudged over to where she lay in the sand and tapped her shoulder twice before sitting down next to her. Cowering in a comfortable, and yet fatal looking position, being curled in a small ball and his head on his knees, Travis spoke up without breaking eye contact from the beach. "Hey." he said in his deep voice, for a teen.

| I was startled out of my deep thinking when someone tapped my shoulder and sat down next to me. I realized it was guy from his voice when he spoke. I had been too lost in my thoughts to hear him approach. "Hi." I said to him. | |

t||r||a||v||i||s||||n||o||v||a||l||eMr. tall, mysterious and Poseidon’s child-o-o-o-o-o-o- Travis smiled as he heard her talk back. First contact? Check. "Nice, uh, night huh?" he began, as he smiled to himself, wondering what she could've done to be all by herself here at the ungodly hour. "But seriously, why sit out alone?" he asked her directly. Travis had his hair frolicked by soft nightly breezes, and he swore he heard the hint of a giggle in the air. The soft lapping of the waves calmed his jumpy nerves, and for the first time, he didn't care about the mystical sounds. "So, yeah...nice night." he rapeated again.
Under the starry night, and the full moon just slightly peeking out of it's cloudy hiding place, Travis gazed his blue eyes up and sight. Such elegance and beauty, only to be marveled at a distance. But he was okay with it, he'd rather have it there than keep it selfishly to himself. The pale moon beams flashed on his face, making him almost transluscent, due to his pale skin in contrast to the white sandy beach. He could feel the sand sticking to his arms, and he pulled them into his chest to conserve body heat. Travis, then gazed his eyes on her. About his age, with a hoodie and jeans, she looked normal, and he was about to see how unique and special she really is.

| "Yeah," I agreed. "It is a really nice night." I leaned back on my left arm and turned towards him. "I'm Max; daughter of Hermes." I outstretched my right hand towards him wondering if people still shook hands. It had been a while since I had made a new friend; I kept to myself a lot. | |

Who would know that she would turn out to be sweet? "Travis Novale, son of Poseidon, at your service madam." Travis smirked, taking her hand in his right. "So, what were you doing before," he looked out into the open sea and paused before looking at her and smiled widely, "before I rudely interrupted?" he said, flipping off his long black locks off his blue eyes.

| I had to smile at the dorky but cute introduction he said as he shook my hand. "Nah, it's fine, you didn't interupt. I was bored back in the Herms Cabin while they were talking about pranks or something like that. I guess I walked to the beach and zoned out for a while." I said to Travis. | |

"Well, at least it's better than pranks." he told her, with a smile. "I mean, at least I know you're out of the blame when supposedly my cabin got prank. And supposedly, if anyone wants to get their bunk seaweed full." he smiled.
~Sorry, short. >.< | |

| "Oh my gosh! Seaweed? Ironic, but totally disgusting." I said, thinking about the feeling of waking up in seaweed. "Pranks are so juevenille. In my opinion, if you're pranking or planning pranks every single day, it gets old. But, I guess I only think that because I'm always surrounded by pranks. It gets annoying to hear." I said, rambling on. | |

| [b">travis novaleson of poseidon It was Travis' turn to raise an eye brow. A Hermes kid, who doesn't want any pranks? Huh, someone could poke him now, and maybe he'd wake up. ”I haven't really gotten myself over those, but as you could see, or not, I'm not really one who abides rules.” Travis windked at her. Well, it was true. He never were the one to follows rules. Or almost anyone. Hell, he'd probably be the worst follower in camp if ever there were a poll. Or, if the Hermes kids weren't here, he'd be the most troublesome individual there is.”But hey, everyone's entitled to their opinion.” He shrugged. Travis laid down on the beach and looked up the darkened sky. Beautiful. And as he did, the first star shined down. ”Funny though, I'd never thought I'd hear a Hermes kid admit their dislike on pranks and all.” Travis chuckled, covering his mouth with a fist, and rubbing it on his nose.”Anyways, isn't it a bit odd....How we're still here. This time of night?” He raised an eyebrow, looking at Max's shadow. Not that he meant it in a bad way. Travis would've blushed if he would have known the double meanings in his words.”But, wanna see something, why you'd rather want to prank though. I mean, it is you'r-my specialty!” | |

| "Sure," I said with curiousity. I shivered slightly from the sea-breeze. Apparently, it hadn't been ridiculous of me to wear a hoodie and jeans to the beach. The hoodie was thin and definitely not a good choice of clothing to wear for warmth. | |

| travis novaleson of poseidon Travis squinted. Did he hear uncertainty in her voice? "You don't really trust me don't you?" Surely, she wouldn't. THEY HAD JUST MET. Travis smiled in the distance as he waited her answer. He fiddled with his fingers a bit and smiled, more to himself now. "Well, just wait. You'll see something in a while." | |

| "Well, I do have trust issues," I said to him. "But I don't know yet. I don't not trust you, but I'm pretty sure I trust you a little." I said to Travis. He seemed pretty cool. Part of me wanted to trust him and then the part of me that roamed the streets of NYC was scared to. I decided to go with the part of me that did trust him. "Yeah, I guess I do trust you." Sure, they had just met, but first impressions are always the better judge of character and Travis's first impression was a good (possibly even a great) impression. | |
