| Ok, it wasn't an actual black hole, but it might as well be. The sheets were ebony. There were no decorations. Nothing to give you any sense of welcome. It was just...dark. Depressing. Kinds reminds you ooooooffffff...Ooh. An emo corner. Yup!
"Aaaakakak!" Plecto screeched, flapping his wings in protest, scattering a few black feathers here and there. Coal shot the bird a glance, shutting him up instantly. There wasn't much that could beat a dagger-throwing glare from Coal Nightbird. He was almost too intense for anyone to be comfortable coming up and saying hello. Which is why he was sitting alone. .............. Again. .-.

| OT: You think I'm going to let you sit in the dark ++++++
Zaria walked in, not doing her regular look around. She was always in here, no one ever saw her though. They knew of her , but had never seen. She enjoyed being in this cabin, the homey feel felt more like home. Maybe it was because Nyx was her grandmother, But she always liked it as soon as she walked by that first day. people quickly told her who it was. Nyx, goddess of the night.
As she walked by one bunk, it caught her eye immediately. It was so dark she had to strain her eyes to make out a boy, with curly black hair, with sliver tips. She chuckled and made her way over. perhaps she met someone as unique as herself, and a Nyx kid worth introducing herself too.

| Coal's hair flopped down over his right eye messily, covering it completely. His one visable eye seemed to be trained on a throwing knife in his hands. He was sharpening it, his tools making a sheering ssshhhheet, ssshhhheet noise each time they were dragged over the blade. Yes, he knew someone was watching him. No, he didn't pay them any attention. It was as simple as that. | |

| "Hey . . ." Zaria started She paused, calling him kid may not be in her smartest decision she realized. Maybe she should walk away, and wait for another Nyx kid. Too Late for That. Summing up her courage she opened her mouth and repeated "Hi, the name's Zaria. Who are you? You're anew face in this cabin." she said, then she sighed when did she become shy. Maybe, when she saw that dagger. | |

| Coal glanced up from his work, his dark eyes flickering slightly, his face emotionless and his eyes just as so. He didn't even attempt much of a smirk, giving off a guarded, silent vibe. Plecto cocked his head at the new girl, his beady eyes looking her up and down, trying to decide if she was a threat or not. "Yo." Was Coal's reply. He didn't answer her question, or explain further about his new appearance. He simply locked eyes, and stayed put. And that was all he needed to do to make anyone uncomfortable and self-contious. His stare felt like he was reading you, pulling the deepest secrets, regrets, pasts out. And damn. It was intimidating. | |

| Zaria frowned looking into the one eye she could see. They were dark, like the ebony wood that she and her brother played manacle with. The blue marbles glinted in the wood. She heard his laugh in her ears from the first time she let him beat her. Smiling, she shook her eyes away from his eye and over to the bird. “He’s such a beautiful bird. What's his name?” She said leaning her hand out to rub the bird's head. | |

| Plecto looked over at Zaria and flapped his wings, seemingly showing off. That little... "Plecto." Coal replied, glancing over at the blackbird as well. He let out a soft cooing noise, hopping off his perch on the headboard and hopping over to Zaria curiously. Did he do that with Coal? No, no. All he did to Coal was peck his head and decide to squak when Coal was sleeping. See? They hated each other. Why'd the stupid thing follow him around, then? No idea. | |

| Zaria leaned and patted the bird cautiously. " Plecto." she said softly. Her latin skills were good enough that she realized that means death "nice name, it's fitting. I wonder what your name is?" She said turning to look at the boy | |

| The edges of Coal's lips tipped upwards the slightest bit, soft, crude humor dancing across it. It was a little lopsided, one end tugged higher then the other, just barely. And daaaaaang, it was melting. It could send shivers down your back, or give you a chilling dark feeling, or make you tremble for reasons unknown. It was....dangerous. Correction: HE was dangerous. Underline and bold that, too. "Call me Coal. Seriously. Call me" His eyes flickered, his snarky, foxish smirk deepening slightly...and I'm pretty sure he was making fun of her. | |
