I was guessing that was her name. "My name is Axel." I said with a faint smile. "Do you speak much?" I asked. It seemed like she was the real quiet type. That doesn't bother me. If I'm not talking I was either practicing my magic or listening to my iPod. She seemed friendly. | |

Emily signs again, pleased with someone understanding her signing, NICE TO MEET YOU. In reference to his question, she simply shakes her head, responding, NEVER, in sign language. She slides her purple iPod nano into her back pocket before lacing her fingers into the belt loop of her jeans, saying (or rather signing?) nothing more. Emily must admit to herself that she's glad she didn't shove someone away, when they're undeserving. She'll make one promise to herself: let more people in. She'll need someone eventually.

I told her. When she had said she never talks, I wasn't too shocked. "How come? You choose not to or something?" I asked stepping a little closer to her, hopefully not making her angry. I ruffled my hair some, making it look messier. She seemed like a kind soul. Hopefully, she was. I smiled kindly at her. I needed more friends anyhow. Cameron and Zane are complete idiots. | |

Emily shakes her head, pulling out something from her bag: a notebook. She would get tired of signing in a while, so she'll resort to writing--even if it cramps her hands. She places a pen to the paper, writing in large letters, I've never spoken. Never. Emily adds, after a short pause, I'm a mute. God parent, you ask? Harpocrates, god of silence. -- Emzy She signs the last line with her nickname. That should explain a lot, but not her reasons for everything else, including the silence. It's her wishes. People must respect them. He doesn't need to know her life story. Oh, and I'm misanthropic. Humanity sucks. she lets out a small smile as she slowly peels the page from her notebook to a new page.

Adam raised his hands defensively, stepping back as she snapped at him. "Sorry, I was just curious." Once she had explained that she had no reason to see her mother, he shrugged. "I was only asking. I just know that if it was me, I would want to know what happened to her. Even if she was, scratch that, is a horrible person, she did birth you..." Adam sighed lightly, and wondered slightly about how she didn't want to see her mother. He simply couldn't imagine not seeing his own mother, yet he knew that it Bellinda's business, and only hers, so he stayed out of it. As she smiled, a grin also spread across his own face. "Ah, so I see I've found your weak spot." He laughed quietly, and nodded, listening. "That's great," he said, congratulating her on her wonderful relationship.
"He sounds like an awesome guy. I should meet him some time." After she directed the conversation towards him, he laughed, nodding. "Yes, yes I do," he said, as if it was obvious. "How could someone as beautiful as I not have a lady friend?" He laughed a bit more, and thought about how to explain himself. "Her name is Syn. She's nice, understanding..." His voice faded for a moment, before he glanced back at Bellinda. "Oh, sorry. She's also very innocent. She doesn't remember much about her past..." He cleared his throat, thinking about something off topic.

Emily will admit the closeness of their bodies shocked her. She's not used to human contact, so her face reddens. Half from embarrassment and half from their body heat in the hot summer. She almost jumps back, but refrains from it. Emily has one goal tonight: make a much needed friend. Silence enters the conversation and she can only stare back, unwilling to spill anything more. She remembers the old saying, "keep your friends close, but your enemies closer." Humanity is the enemy, but.... he seems nice. What if she's wrong? Maybe they could be friends. After realization of her staring, she blinks, returning her brown-eyed gaze to a pretty at least to her crow. Her eyes, now lost in space, have no possible intention of returning back at least willingly.

| Take Everything Away From Me...~LEON COOPER~I smiled. "If you would let me take you on a date," I said, smiling. I just had to crack my neck a few times, because nectar... well... it makes me even worse.. So I got to get it down fast, and very fast. Nectar burns my heart, throat, stomach, and limbs. Even if I only have a drop. It just does not sit right with me. It feels like fire is burning uncontrollably in my body and I can't stop it, I just have to bare through the unrelenting pain it causes.
I took the canteen of nectar and quickly took a big gulp. I gave it back to her. Here we go... I started to cough uncontrollably. My neck started to burn so I used one hand to grab it. I felt my heart start burning as well. I started to feel like I was dieing. Psh. It's just my mind burning as well. I felt to my knee's on account of the horrible burning sensation in my legs. When it finally stopped. I coughed up a little blood and stood up. Phew, that nectar gives one hell of a kick.
"All better..." I said... I wonder if it just made it worse. We're all to Blame...

I wonder if she would guess who my god parent is, Keres, the Spirit of Violence and cruel death.
"So, would you agree to my condition? Or will I have to drink more nectar?" I asked, cracking my neck a few times incase she said more nectar. I cracked my knuckles as well, incase that mnemosyne kid starts trying to make me relive memories again. We're all to Blame...

Mikayla looked puzzled for a minute. So his parent wasn't a god after all, but a spirit. "Yout dad is a spirit huh?" she mumbled quietly. "That is so cool!" But then something that Leon said implanted itself in her mind. "Oh my gods... I am so sorry, Leon! If I had only known! Wait. Why didn't you tell me in the first place! You didn't have to drink the nectar if you knew that it would've hurt you. Wait, I insisted didn't I? Oh, gods. I'm sorry." Mikayla stopped herself from rambling. Then she lightly slapped Leon's arm. Mikayla giggled a little. "Did it to impress me, huh?" she asked. "Well, that sure worked out, but next time. I ain't letting you impress me by hurting yourself. 'Kay?" She smiled at Leon then looked around the camp. Everybody seemed to be doing okay, so she went into her tent, made sure everything was there again, then went back out. She closed up the entrance and did a minor protection spell. Can never be too sure with Hermes campers being here and there. "Yeah," she said somewhat excitedly. "I'd love to." | |
