I laughed at Micheal. That was sorta funny, but I just wanted to give him the satisfaction. "What about eagle droppings? I bet that'd be funnier." I laughed a bit, then drank my beer.

Jake Reed:

Relieved, the son of Zeus let out a small sigh. Noah didn't have a boyfriend. Her Jimmy was like his Angel. Angel was great, but, they weren't exactly a thing. Noah, Noah seemed more natural then the pampered daughter of Aphrodite. That was more Jake's style. "Jimmy doesn't know what he's missing then, does he?" Jake asked, pressing his left shoulder to her right, a mere head taller than Noah.

"So you've never had a boyfriend? Well that sounds suckish. I mean . . . It's not like I've ever had a girlfriend, or kissed anyone unless it was in the dance choreography, but I still feel for you, kid." Jake smiled warmly, still staring out into the slowly crashing ocean. "I can't see why you wouldn't have had a boyfriend. You're beautiful."

Jake turned to face Noah after his comment, hoping she didn't leave. She was sweet, and he wasn't going to rush things. From the way Noah talked about Jimmy, she was kind of interested. In fact, she might actually really like him. Jake didn't want to come between the kind demititan and her crush.

I walked down to the beach from the forest. I saw Jake there, and walked up to him. "Heyo man, whats up? How have things been going for you?" I asked him. I took a sip of the glass of wine that I had grabbed from the bar table.

Noah's cheeks flushed a bit and she averted her crystal clear, blue gaze. "The thing is...I just met Jimmy. I'm not exactly a big expert on relationships or anything...but aren't you supposed to wait a while before you know if you like that person?" Noah inquired. 'At least...I think that's how it's supposed to work..' she thought, allowing her brow to furrow a bit.
Noah was never good at hiding emotions. She had a very expressive face, so her emotions could usually be read like a book if one simply looked at her. When Jake complimented her, Noah's blush spread to her ears and neck. "Umm...thanks.." she mumbled, obviously flustered by the compliment.
Noah shook her head, gently shrugging her shoulders. "It doesn't really bother me, you know? Not being in a relationship. I'm just happy to have finally found a friend in Jimmy. After I got claimed, all of my friends in the Hermes cabin sort of...left. Not camp, they just started avoiding me.." she explained. She didn't seem very bothered by this. She seemed simply...at ease and at peace with the world. As though she had let go of fretting about her future and was going with the flow, following where ever destiny decided to lead her. Noah was like that, as was her father. A free spirit, drifting about without much of a care in the world.

"Hey man! I'm doing fine, thanks for asking!" Jake said, turning back to face his brother. After replying to the other son of Zeus, Jake turned back to Noah, who still made his runner's headache stop. Wow. That was pretty weird. He loved all of his siblings, but currently, Noah was his main focus.

"Oh really? Do you plan on going farther with Jimmy?" Jake wanted to know more. He had to have a chance. He had to!

I smiled at Cadil and said, "So since you specialize in White Magic does that mean that you could help me figure out my transformations or would that be your sisters specialty?" I wanted to know more about my powers to see what else I could do with them or if all I could do was turn into an eagle, granted being an eagle was cool but it would be awesome if I were able to turn into something else as well.

I caught Ali as she fell into my arms. I smiled. "A little drunk aren't you?" I said, smiling. She was beautiful, and she was the exact type of girl for me, short and sweet. I had a huge, stupid grin on my face. I looked into her eyes, the stars made them look beautiful.

Noah studied the other boy for a moment, before she looked back to Jake. "I don't think so...I haven't really known him long enough.." she replied, shrugging her shoulders. Noah sat up, brushing some sand off of her arms. "I can..go if you want. That way you two can talk," she said, gesturing between the two boys.
Something about what she said now haunted her. Why hadn't she said she might want to go further with Jimmy? She didn't know if she wanted to or not...but why did she just say no? Noah shook her head with a sigh and then turned her gaze back to the two children of Zeus, waiting for their response.

She smiled with her eyes half open, looking around at the other people still lounging around. There was a high possibility Adriel would simply leave to find another girl since she refused for a kiss, but knowing Ali... Well, you could figure the rest out.

"No!" Jake answered too quickly. "I mean, don't go. I'll talk to my brother sometime in my cabin. I don't ever see you around. Why don't you stay?" Jake wanted to know more about this Jimmy guy. Noah had actually said she didn't want to go any further! Noah only wanted to be friends with the guy! Something inside Jake hold him that Noah would have said yes either in the night.

"So, you guys are just friends? Yet you're wanting him to show up at a party. I know the just friends excuse, Noah. I use to use it on girls I didn't want to be with. I would call them just friends. I told the girls I did want to be with that my girlfriend was just a friend." Jake paused and wiggled his eyebrows while biting his lower lip. He was fully open. The son of Zeus was willing to tell Noah anything, and he was prepared to tell her that he did feel something towards her.

That was when he jumped up and stood close to Noah, titling his head slightly down and smiling. He didn't want to make a move, he just wanted to show that Jake wasn't ready let Noah slip out of his life. If Noah left now, there was a very small chance of the two ever meeting again. Nothing had made them ready to become closer. They might pass each other around camp and only keep walking. Jake didn't want that. He . . . He really liked Noah. Jake liked Noah.

Noah thought for a moment. She looked out across the crowd of people. "I don't know...I'm friends with him. I enjoy his company. I'd especially enjoy his company around a group of people that I either don't know or that don't like me," she replied. She turned her gaze back to Jake to find that his face was now mere centimeters from hers. "Uhh..." she mumbled. "Do you...need something?" she asked, arching her eyebrows.

Jake could think of tons of things to say, the top of his list being you, but Noah was being too normal about everything. Did she not understand that he wanted her? The thought of such an oblivious person made Jake want to laugh, but then he realized it was Noah. He couldn't be patient for the life of him, but he had to try for Noah. He wasn't going to make any moves, and he was going to keep it slow.

Quickly, Jake put his hands on Noah's shoulders. "Chances like this only come once in a lifetime!" Jake explained while gently shaking Noah. He had to show her that he liked her without being that player that everyone hated. Those were nasty. "You and me, Noah, I don't want to let you go. If you left now, we would never see each other again. I just want you to understand that before you choose to go or stay."
